Honestly, both dishes looked almost identical. The meat was cut into chunky pieces instead of being sliced. While the portion sizes were generous, the quality of the food just wasn't there. The seasoning was off, and the chicken and beef tasted low quality with lots of tendons. Mediterranean food is a broad category, and while I appreciate variations in flavor, the kabobs here were seasoned much differently from other Mediterranean spots in the area--and not in a good way. Worst ever! Food was over-processed to the point of unrecognisable! I literally had to find and check my receipt to remember what I'd ordered! Couldn't see if maybe I'd ordered beaten down chicken - that turned out to be flavorless & bodiless salmon. The unidentifiable swipe in the meal only tasted like tahini in its last seconds before swallowing, the supposed lentil soup, also unidentifiable by look and bland by taste came not in a soup container but in the same thinnest, cheapest plastic I've ever tried to open as both of their other delivery. Okay-average place. Online ordering is convenient. Prices a bit expensive for the food amount. Chicken schwarma is better than the tri tip. Tri tip is a bit dry and chewy so would not recommend. Unfortunately, since I doordashed my food this time, I couldn't find the option to order that, so I went with the tri tip shawarma plate instead. I was so upset with how the plate looked like they only put about eight pieces of meat on there even threw the garlic sauce in the plate with no lid so the sauce spilled everywhere. Mmmm falafels! Chickpeas deliciousness! Nice and crispy on the outside. Light and airy on the inside. I can taste the Mediterranean flavors of lemon, coriander, or cumin. The inside absorbs that tzatziki sauce well. The hubs always enjoys the gyros from here. We either go with sandwich combos or the plates. The staff on the phone are super nice. I am a regular that does delivery service and I called to ask for more tzatziki sauce and they were generous about it. That stuff is so good. The pitas are ok. So is the hummus. The Pita Spot has some of the freshest and most delicious Mediterranean/ Middle eastern food in Torrance. The food is all made from scratch and in house by the lady chef in the back that makes everything to order. The restaurant is not that big and only seats probably less than 10-15 people max. The menu is full of combo's which pretty much is one entrée with a side of fresh in house hummus and side salad with some pita bread. My wife and I usually opt for the kafta combo and the shawarma which are both heavily spiced and packed full of flavor that is accompanied by a bed of rice pilaf that has that amazing light fluffy texture. According to the chef even the tzatziki sauce is made in house by hers truly. The combo's are all fairly priced and if you come for lunch they have a few offerings for lunch specials which is almost half the regular prices. If you are looking for good fast Mediterranean/ middle eastern food the Pita Spot is really good offering. Make sure you check in on yelp for free baklava dessert. read more

Plaza itself is not too big but considering it's an area with other restaurants it can be hard to find parking in the lot during the lunch or dinner rush. It's a small Mediterranean food spot which is convenient for to-go orders or just to grab a bite. There's a full menu from appetizers, plates, salads, desserts. I ordered two plates the falafel and chicken shawarma which come with salad, hummus and rice two pita bread. Both were great and I was surprised with the falafel plate. It could be the texture and crunch. I feel like maybe the chicken. Kabob would be a better option than the shawarma. Although I haven't tried it yet, if you did let me know how that was LOL.You can change out a side for another option like fries. Dessert was delicious. Who could ever make a baklava bad ?! Stopped by here while my car was getting worked on. I really wanted to like this place due to the stellar reviews but my experience wasn't that great. First, food took 30 minutes to come out after ordering. I wasn't in a rush cause I was waiting for my car but still... it felt like forever. Not a big deal. Next, pitas were hard as a rock. Hummus was good and softened it up but I really couldn't tell if they did a poor attempt at toasting it or if it was stale. Chicken shawarma (2): it had decent flavor but it was super salty. It was cooked nicely and the long grain yellow rice was good, but every bite I couldn't get over how salty it was. I'm normally a fan of chicken shawarma, but this was not a good one. Salad (3): nothing really special here but I wanted to say that their homemade dressing was pretty good. Baklava (2): yes it was sweet, but not very flaky at all. Soggy in fact. Glad it was free for checking in. Lastly, when I was almost done with my chicken shawarma, I nearly cracked a tooth on something. Spit it out and it was a seed or pit of some sort. I didn't know whether to be grossed out or to check my teeth for chips. That could have really jacked someone up. I also ate something that I initially thought was a charred piece of chicken, after closer examination it was a small piece of wood. He said it was part of their spices but I wouldn't want any of those things back in my mouth. Needless to say, good effort but no bueno for me. No No! Half way through the meal, my husband pulled out a hair strand from the falafel. We reported to the cashier/cook. Instead of trying to address the situation he asked my husband if that was his hair. We told him that the hair was in the falafel and he started explaining that he covers his hair and his hands are clean while cooking. Now, may be he's the only cook there based on how defensive he got, but at least acknowledge and understand the situation so other customers don't have to go through the same. We decided not to argue further so my husband put that specific piece of falafel aside and ate the rest. Then 80% through my meal I found a lash hair buried into the pile of rice.
