Got the chicken plate here with hummus and a salad. Horrible. The hummus was grainy and just not good at all. Store bought tasted better. The chicken was alright I've had sooooo much better flavor was def lacking and It wasn't tender. Also the reason for the 1 star mainly In addition to the bad food was for their garlic sauce. I love sauce and I don't think people should have to pay for more unless they want an extra bottle. Anyways I ordered 3 extra sauces and why??? Because they don't even fill up a whole container. But charge 50 cents each. How convenient for them to just eat up more money. Not that I care to pay extra for sauce but at least fill it up if you're going to charge. I don't need it 1/4 full in each one. Especially since the medi place by my house is 100 times better than this. Our regular medeteranian spot near our office has been closed for remodeling ... This has caused 2 weeks of serious withdrawls. We checked yelp for a spot close by that we could grab food from and dine in our offices while we work. I tried to call in the order to Pitas to go. I got a cell phone which switched me to a VM. I didnt want to leave a order on a VM. I looked on the internet via google and pressed the call button under Pitas to Go. This number was invalid information. I decided to drive over and place my order for four lunches in person and wait while the food was prepared. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and beautiful. There was a sign with items that are not listed on their oinline menu, so I changed what I personally was ordering for me... I ordered 4 dinners to go, each one different in their selections. I ordered one combo rice salad humus one beef salad humas rice 1 chicken salad hummus baba ganoogh one chicken humus rice and salad. The food, looked just as in the online photos. The serving size was great on the rice, and meat, other local spots are more generous with the salad and hummus sizes. The garlic sauce that goes with the chicken was tasting like mayonaise that had some garlic in it. No one in the office was a fan of the garlic sauce..... The chicken was cut in large pieces of white breast meat, I feel that when using smaller pieces the marinade gets on more of the meat and it has a good flavor. My combo was juicy the rice was actually a Bulgar Pilaf, not just rice as I had requested. For the beef plate dinner, that meal was not even in the sack, we got a third chicken kabob, my coworker was disappointed....I did not check the boxes or I could have had them switch her food. The co-worker who ordered the chicken with no rice and had hummus and baba ganoogh stated that the baba was bitter and not at all tasty, she thought her hummus lacked flavor and the salad had no cucumbers or tomatoes she thought it was dressed in an oily dressing that was bland in flavor and lacked salt. I think she threw her food away rather than eating something she did not enjoy. I believe that she had just one bite of everything in the box and threw out almost her entire box of food. My coworker who loves chicken kabobs did not like the large pieces of chicken, she thought her meat was dry, hated the garlic sauce and she threw away her box with 2/3 the food inside... she was terribly disappointed. Shoulda went with my gut instinct that told me the negative reviews here were a more accurate summary of the kind of experience one might have. Instead I went with the overwhelming good (and obviously fake or biased) reviews. I ordered the chicken plate and it was dry and had a slight rancid taste to it. I wanted to believe that it was the marinade or some kind of sauce they use but I just couldn't bring myself to take another bite. The rice was ok. Pita bread was stale and had a weird sweetness to it. Will definitely not return. I was going to post a photo but once I opened the box I couldn't stop myself from eating. SO GOOD. Flavors are amazing. My fourth time here and I can't get enough. Never been disappointed I've tried the chicken wrap twice and that was so great. Garlicky and tangy marinated chicken with some sort of garlic yogurt sauce and nice crisp lettuce. I've also had the beef wrap and it was just as delicious! Try the lentil soup if you're in the mood. The soup was a decent portion (I would love a little bigger size since it's $3) and very flavorful. You can buy hummus and pita chips which I like to do when I'm feeling peckish. Hummus has some oil and spice on top which I love because it's blended with lemon, garlic and tahini. The chicken was so good I had to try the chicken kabob plate. I was expecting the same chicken flavoring from the wrap but it's a different marinate I think-- just as great though. It's grilled to perfection! Love the hummus, salad, and yogurt sauce sides it comes with. The plate came with pita bread and you could tell it was fresh. I paid $9 for a nice meal that has made my tummy very happy. Portion size is 4 out of 5 stars, price wise 4 out of 5 stars, taste wise 5 out of 5 stars, 5 out of 5 stars for selection, and service is 5 out of 5 stars. This place sells healthy food, if you want to stay away from stuff that will make you sick, this place is a good option. The pita bread is tasty, they got wraps for both veggie and meat lovers. Other options, salads and plates which I am sure are all good. Also, they are pretty fast making the food, unheard of for Mediterranean food. Went to Pitas To Go because I was craving some falafels. I was going to order the wrap, but wanted some side dishes. so the nice man behind the counter recommended that falafel plate - that came with rice, hummus, pita bread, and a salad. I was sold. I sat outside, and they brought my order out to me. The plate was served on one of those divided (three sections) disposable plates. There was a bed of rice (a lot of it!) with three falafel balls on top. The hummus and salad were in their own sections. The pita bread was served warm on the side. It is healthy, the owner and his employees are cheerful and welcoming, the place is airy, light, and clean, and food is fresh. I dont get why this place would get less than 4 stars. I love coming here especially when I need a healthy place to eat at. I usually order the fish plate combo with hummus and all salad no rice, or chicken with the greek salad. The chicken is so flavorful its bursting with it. And the fish is very fresh and delicious. My favorite though has to be their salad dressing. I have no idea what in it, I just know that is healthy and it has a tangy lemon flavor mixed with seasonings that I can't name. I wish I knew the recipe so I could have it everyday. I believe most of the plates are under $10 so the price is really reasonable. It does get busy during lunch time so if I don't plan on eating there I call ahead and make a phone order for pick up.
