While the atmosphere is hip and the rooftop bar looks nice the pizza reminded me of totinos. They don't have bell pepper so instead we ordered pepper-chinos? That is the ingredient that put the taste over the top to resemble Totinos. All other toppings we chose were very basic which tells me must have been the pepper-chinos. And while I said the atmosphere is hip the light fixtures are extremely large oversized lamp shades. Felt like being in the Tom Petty video where they are in wonderland. Maybe I'm just not hip and too basic to eat pizza at this establishment. For the price and other options in Omaha, I'd recommend staying home and eating Tontinos frozen pizza. read more

We recently held a baby shower luncheon and we used Pitch West Omaha to cater the event. We ordered the meatballs, chopped salad and Bolognese pasta. It was ready on time and the guests raved about how great it was. They also provide all serving utensils, warming trays with sterno etc. plus place cards identifying each entree. Very professional. Football play offs and Super Bowl are coming up so I highly recommend Pitch. read more

Customer service has never been any issue here, the servers are excellent and friendly. Pitch in West Omaha's quality of food has gone down. I've been here many times since it has been opened, but the most recent visits this year have been rather disappointing. The last pizza we got was soggy and the flavors are underwhelming. We also tried brunch one day, but the omelet with sausage and pancetta was salty (probably due to the pancetta, but just not a good brunch item IMO). The waffle was okay, but the topping was overly sweet. It use to be a great spot to eat at, but recently I've left disappointed. Will probably give Pitch in Dundee a try next time. read more

I submit that owner Willy Thiesen is America's greatest pizza entrepreneur. Consider the evidence. He created Godfather's in the 70's. It was so different and so good. Thick and loaded with toppings; cheap too. In the pre-fitness era, it captured the zeitgeist. In genius fashion, Willy franchised it across the nation and then cashed out at the top. Pitch is Act II in the new century. The pizza is thin and has funky toppings. While not exactly healthy, it has the perception of being good for you. The oven is the thing and it makes a tasty crust. The new building is a delight. The architecture and design creates a social space that gets people off of their iPhones. And, yes, it is noisy but in a good way as people are enjoying themselves by socializing. Major design kudos as it really adds to the experience. Unlike Godfather's, Pitch has a liquor license. I can only imagine the profit generated from the booze. And how about that wine list? As the Don would say, "I drink more wine than I used to. I guess it is good for me." Our waitress noted a birthday at our table and brought a cake. How nice! You, Willy Thiesen, are an Omaha business genius and we are proud you live here. We made our first-ever visit to Pitch on Father's Day. It was fairly busy, but we were seated right away and had competent service for the entire meal. We ordered meatballs and salads soon after 6:00, but our food wasn't delivered until 7:15?! The tables around us were getting their food, even when they had ordered after us. We realize variations in prepping different dishes, but we really thought that salads shouldn't take over an hour to prepare. The meatballs came to us after about 45 minutes. Our server communicated very well to us, refilled our drinks, etc., but she didn't know why things were taking so long either. They took off some of the total and sent us home with dessert, but we're still confused as to what the problem was. The food was good and we appreciated the lowering of the bill. read more

I was looking forward to coming to Pitch based on the Yelp reviews before my trip to Omaha. I was left underwhelmed, mostly by the service, during my recent visit. My friends and I ordered drinks and they came out with a glass and a can of pop and they poured it in front of us as if it was some elegant way of serving drinks. It was hard justifying the price tag of ordering soda when you see it coming from a can. We got wings to start off with and it came with a huge heaping mound of grilled onions on top...which wasn't appealing whatsoever. The pizza selection was out of the ordinary, so I went with the most basic one (pepperoni and sausage). The pizza was VERY good with very fresh ingredients (especially the sausage). I have no complaints about the food. The price tag is pretty steep. It was nice to try, but I won't be back. read more

We had meatball appetizer along with Brussels sprouts. Both were amazing. The sauce on the meatballs was so good dipped In The bread that comes with the meatballs. Pitch opened this location after success in Dundee. There is a built in clientele here as they are in a business park and 2 nearby hotels. It has a much different feel than the original as the building looks like it could be a dentist's office or realty company. The food is good. They will make a one off if you have dietary restrictions. They have a neat upper deck that has a decent view, but mostly it is too cold for it. There is a body of water near so if it's near sundown in the warmer months there stands a chance of mosquitoes. Still a good venue for good food read more

Disappointing experience. Pizza came out doughy in the middle and they took it back but didn't remake it. Just reheated it so now it's still doughy in the middle and extra crispy on the crust which would be fine but not with the floppy middle. Had two other pizzas that were great so I know they can make great food. The server finally came back and we were able to show him the result and they tried to make it right with a couple free desserts. We declined as we did not want dessert or more food in general. Any sort of discount on that pizza would have made all the difference. Will not be coming back but I'm guessing they don't care. read more

So, I'd really like to give 5 stars but I just can't. Overall the atmosphere is just very noisy and uncomfortable. They need to do something about the flooring, the way the chairs squeal when being moved is insane and there is almost no baffling in the ceiling so its just loud in there. Now the service was fine and the food overall was very tasty. The pricing though is just nonsense. I don't understand how they get away with it. The drink prices are fine, cocktails at $10 is fairly standard and reasonable. The brussel sprout appetizer very tasty and $8, again reasonable. My wife has to eat gluten free and ordered the special pizza of the week, we were unaware it was $25! Lesson learned, ask next time. Worst of all though the gluten free upcharge of $5, seriously??? Nonsense. Glad my wifes inability to handle gluten is so expensive. Seriously though, Forno, Enzos, Dante, all much better pizzas for much less than $30. Heck Olive and Ash has a decent pizza too. Bottom line is this is the most expensive pizza in Omaha and it certainly didn't taste like it. I ordered the hamburger which is $15 and comes with nothing, so I added goat cheese $2, caramelized onions $1(which were lightly cooked, not caramelized) and fig sauce $2, a $20 burger and quite honestly, bland. Surprising I know. Goat cheese is usually rich and tangy not bland and sour. Did they give me sour cream? There are a million places to get burgers and I would not recommend Pitch as one. Just like the pizza this is one of the most expensive burgers in Omaha and it did not taste like it. The greens that I got with my salad were quite mediocre and average at best. The Negroni was subpar, I've had better again at Dante, Forno and Enzo's. So all in all, we won't be back. read more

The Creme Brûlée however was AMAZING! This location has seating upstairs and on the main floor. Upstairs is super nice! When the doors are open there is a nice breeze and view. We love this place, which offers a great menu featuring gourmet pizzas and much more. We had dinner here with a friend our first night in Omaha and have been back several times. We told the waitress we would pay the dinner price and it wasn't a problem. She came back and stated that they were basically too busy to make one for us. After trying Pitch (out west) twice, one for take out and once dining in, I can safely say I won't be back. The Pitch in Dundee is still amazing, but I've been severely disappointed by this location. The take out service is sub par. I ordered pizza and salads to go for lunch. When you arrive, there's no logical place for pick up. Since they were really busy, I had to wait a while to even get the chance to ask an employee where to go. I was told to stand at the end of the pizza bar/expediting area. When I did, again no logical person to speak to or place to stand where I didn't feel I was in the way. I asked the guy expediting and he wasn't sure--so he asked the bartender. Eventually I got my order, after waiting 10 minutes for the salads to be made, but it wasn't ready when I had asked and the whole process seemed incredibly disorganized. The quality is similar to their other location, but when I got to my husband's work (2 minutes away) to eat with him, the pizzas were already cold. For the money I spent (Pitch is not cheap) I felt swindled out of a good experience and good warm pizza. read more

Came here this afternoon looking for a little happy hour snack with a glass of wine with mom. The bartender was pointing to the happy hour menu drinks, pointing out what's on special at $5 and said " as well as house wine and sangria." My mother then said she'd like a glass of house Cabernet and I said I'd do the same. We then ordered the brussel sprouts and a pizza, which was supposed to be $5 off at happy hour. When we went to order our second glass of house wine he then informed us it's cheaper to buy the bottle. Which was $78 and half off was $39..., Huh??? We were looking at a happy hour menu?!? We have no problem buying a nice bottle of wine for dinner but this was 4pm, we were there for happy hour and his slight of hand trickery got us a bottle of wine, pizza and brussels sprouts for $86!!!!!! No one would ever do this for happy hour. Really?!? Our Brussels sprouts were incredible, pizza was good, wine was excellent, service was arrogant and we left feeling like idiots who were scammed! I am in love with Pitch in Dundee but my past few experiences at this location haven't been near as good as Dundee. The location is convenient after shopping at Village Pointe and it looks great, but I have just had problems the last few times I have been there. The food: I usually get the same pizza (chicken pesto) every time I go to both locations. The pizza is good but I don't feel like its as fresh or as good as the Dundee location. At Dundee I feel like I cant stop eating it because its so good but here its like meh, I'm getting full now. I know that they say that the pizza is brought out right away because they don't have heat lamps, but ours wasn't as hot as it should be and tasted like it was sitting out for a bit. The service: I hate to keep comparing to the Dundee location, but the service is just so much better in Dundee. I know that the waiter/waitress should go over the pizza of the week and tell you about the drinks but the last few times the staff hasn't cared to even go over it. We heard from another waiter around us so I know that they still do it. We had to wait around for a long time to get our order taken and then again to get our bill. They weren't even busy so I don't know why it took so long. My drink was also sitting empty for most of the time I was eating. This really bothers me, especially when you are drinking water and they can leave you with a water pitcher. I had been dying to try the new Pitch location so my husband and I decided to go here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Considering how popular the Dundee location is, I was a little surprised by the reviews it already had. We didn't experience any issues on our visit, but we did go during a fairly "low traffic" time. The building, itself, is very nice (and very large). We only saw the downstairs dining area and patio, but it was very spacious. They have a couple large "communal dining" tables, several smaller tables that seat 2-4 people scattered throughout the restaurant and on the patio, and also have a decent amount of bar seating. Our server was training another server while we were there, but the service was overall pretty good. We decided to split their Herbed Coal Fired Wings and the Meatball Sandwich with Truffle Fries (on their brunch menu). Our server asked if we would like to have the chef split the sandwich for a $4 fee, to which I responded that for $4 we could probably cut our own sandwich. This was probably my biggest annoyance of the visit - I realize "split plate" fees are standard at many restaurants, but this seemed excessive since we were ordering a sandwich and wings over a lunch when the restaurant was half empty, not a steak or some other pricey entrée during the dinner rush. The wait for the food was a little longer than normal, but wasn't anything crazy (about 20 minutes on the wings and another 10-15 minutes on the sandwich). I attributed this to it being a newer restaurant that is still working out the kinks. I have had the wings and various dishes with meatballs at the Dundee location, and thought the food quality was on par with the other location. The portions were generous and everything was hot and delicious. My other complaint about the visit was that the music was way too loud. It would have been great for a bar scene on a Friday night, but was a little much for a Sunday lunch crowd. This location is much more convenient for us, so we will definitely be returning to check out their upstairs patio and to eat here again. read more
