They pulled the nail and told me it hadn't broken through the tread so there was no charge (it was just a little low on air). Why 5 stars? A dishonest shop would have told me they repaired it and charged me anyways. I would have never known the difference. read more

Dropped the car off for a quick and easy fix. Somehow, they managed to damage my vehicle while working on it. After bringing it to their attention, they denied responsibility and I am forced to pursue legal action. The customer service, especially from Frank - who claimed to be the manager - was very poor. Life saver shop..for my emergency after work.. I noticed my tire symbol came on with low tire.. I drive 45 minutes from work to home so there was no way I would make it home with my tire .. I remember the tire shop at the corner of my office so I decided to go there.. I get there and the shop was already closed however Alex and Adriana were still there! Even though they were closed Alex and Adriana took care of my emergency which I had a big screw in my tire..Alex fixed my tire .. they were attentive and fast .. I appreciate that and though they were closed they still took care of me! What a nice place! I was washing my car in El Segundo and noticed a screw in my tire. I called less than an hour before closing and asked if they could fix it. The receptionist told me to just stop by at least 15 minutes before closing and they could fix it in about 25 minutes. When I brought the car in I asked if they might be able to put my license plate back on too since it had recently fallen off. They took the car and called me back about 10 minutes later to tell me that the screw hadn't penetrated the tire and there was no leak, so I could get my car. They also put my license plate on for me, no charge. Really nice people. I'll make sure to bring my car back here when it needs service! read more

I had a leak on my tire. Firestone in Manhattan Beach said they couldn't detect anything and suggest I bought a new tire. I went to this place and figured out I had a slow leak. They repaired it and I was out the door withing 15 minuets of being there. I went on a Friday at 2pm so it was fairly slow. Happy that they fixed it quickly and at a decent price. read more

Came here this morning to get a tire fixed as it's near my house. My tire had a slow leak so they patched my tire. I thought everything was great as the low tire pressure sensor was off and the tire no longer looked flat. As I was driving 8 miles to work, the sensor turned on. After parking my car, I could hear air coming out of the tire and within 5 minutes, my tire was completely flat!! Not sure what they repaired but the slow leak became a complete flat! Called AAA for a tow and now stuck at a tire center as they replace the tire. What was supposed to be a quick fix has now become a half day ordeal and the cost of a brand new tire. They pulled a nail out, patched the tire, and I also asked them to rotate my tires. Total time less than 30mins, $30 for patch, $20 for tire rotation. No upsell, very friendly, extremely fast. I hate to give this place the 1st 2 star rating, and I'm hoping it was a off day but I didn't have the greatest experience here. I dropped my car off around 10'ish am for a wheel alignment, the fella at the counter said it'd be done in an hour and they'd call me when they're finished. So, I wander off to I Love Teriyaki for lunch and a hour passes and no call 1.5 hours pass no call, so, I call them around noon or so and goes to ring no answer, I call them again like 20 minutes later and still no answer, then I call a 3rd time and they pick up and I ask is my car ready and they said "Yah." Ok, so, I walk over to the shop to get my car and a fella walks in says it's $70 bucks... ok, cool, I pay and sign and he says bye. I sorta just stare at him and ask can you tell me how bad my alignment was (EVERY wheel alignment shop I've ever gone to always handed me a printout and explained why it's off) the dood walks into the garage, comes back, gives me some printout and he mumbled something about it's off by something - I could not understand what he said and he didn't look like he was in the mood for chit chat so I was like F it and left. I take my car out for a drive and it still pulls to the gawd damn right... go figure. I have NO problem paying for service, I just dropped $3500 last week at Hi Tek Transmission to rebuild my transmission and build an external cooler, replace mounts and such (Tony is the best - you have transmission problems go to Hi Tek located in El Segundo), but this place unfortunately left a sour taste in my mouth. I think for future car needs I'll stick to Joe's or Hi Tek. read more

After losing the Wheel Lock for my after market rims I couldn't find a shop that was able to remove my wheels. I needed my rear breaks changed desperately and was completely out of options. Pacific Pitt Stop was extremely helpful from the moment I made the initial phone call to the time I drove off the lot. They were able to remove my rims, give me a new lock, and change my brakes in a few hours and all for a very competitive price. Honesty and diligence. I have brought my two cars to Pacific Pit Stop for a couple years for service issues, oil changes, and tire rotations. I am continuously impressed with how quickly they address any issues and their honesty. I never feel I am being sold an unneeded or unnecessary product or service; in addition, I find their prices extremely fair. For a tire replacement, they did not try and sell me the most expensive tires but provided me the various options available and recommended a quality tire appropriate for the amount and type of driving I perform. Most recently, I brought my VW to PPS after the vehicle experienced overheating. PPS quickly diagnosed the issue and quoted a price. Because the vehicle remained under extended warranty, we had it towed to the Dealership for repair; HOWEVER, PPS, despite spending time to assess the issue and provide an accurate diagnosis refused to accept payment for their mechanics' time performing the initial assessment; instead, they stated that they hoped to see me in the future for regular maintenance and any other mechanical issues. I cannot say enough good things about this place. They are the only place i trust in this area with my cars. I have been to them with 4 cars probably about 10 times now and never once have I felt like they added a single cent more than needed. In fact, I often feel like they undercharged compared to what they could. We all know that this industry has a bad rep. and finding a place you trust is a rarity. I recently took them a car I was on the verge of purchasing for a quick once over. The sales guy's boss made him come with me. Even he left impressed by the level of service. They also treat my wife great when she takes her car. Go there, be respectful to them and ask questions. You may be surprised how much knowledge you gain on the industry. After reading the other Yelp reviews I decided to try out Pacific Pitt Stop. I went in at 5:40 pm on a Fri evening to have my flat fixed. Luckily, all I needed was a plug since my tire was still in good shape. By 5:50 pm & $15 later I was on my way.
