Great place to go to for alignments. Found this little gem via a quick yelp search and called them to get a quote on an alignment ($60 for my make/model). Took my car in a few days later and dropped it off. When I picked it up later, they provided a full before & after alignment report. What I loved about this place, aside from the price and their very friendly and helpful staff, was that no one attempted to push extra services on me for my car. One quick tip, definitely call to get a quote beforehand. There was a $15 price difference between what they were going to charge me on the day I took my car in versus the quote I got over the phone. However, when I had mentioned I had received a lower price over the phone, the guy who rung me up just said ok and used my original price quote without any hassles. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I I discovered a slow leak in 1 of my tires while at work and found this place on Yelp. Gave them a call and Fernando was super helpful on the phone. I brought it in 15 minutes later and my tire was patched up within 15 min for $15. Fernando helped me for most of my service and he was super professional and super cool. He's really friendly and has a permanent smile fixed on his face, so looking at him makes you smile too. LOL! Sounds corny, but go there and you'll see what I'm talking about. I also asked Juan about replacing a piece connected to my car battery that had corroded. He didn't have the piece in stock but recommended that I get it at a local Pep Boys. He offered to install the piece for me free of charge after purchasing it too! What a nice guy! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! Great, fast, honest, and friendly service. And I haven't purchased tires from them yet, but from reading the other reviews, it sounds like they have great prices on tires too. Give them a try, you will not regret it. Following installation of a new set of tires on my truck at their sister location in Hawthorne I decided to give this location a try for a front end alignment, this shop was only a short walk from where I live so it was great to drop my truck off and I could get in a workout. Business seems to be picking up for this location as I saw it before as another garage, their renovations have truned out really nice... The fish tank is a nice touch! haha Got my truck back and there was a little bit taken off the bill from the initial quote, I think because I mentioned that I had purchased tires from their other location and the nice fellow mentioned that they have free tire rotation so now I don't have to drive all the way over to Hawthorne, I can just pop over here! read more

This place is amazing. Where should I begin? My local dealership told me I needed to replace a piece of my suspension. What the heck? My car's practically new!?!? Needless to say I didn't trust them, so before work this morning I take it by the guys at Pacific Pitt Stop. I tell them I'm running late for a meeting, so Fernando offers to drop me off at my office down the street. SWEET! About an hour later he calls me up "hey, your suspension fine...someone removed a bolt from your shocks." Realized I had a nail in my tire at 5pm on a Monday and started calling around to see who could help fix it ASAP. Costco put me on hold for about 10 minutes and I searched Yelp to see if I could find an alternative. I found Pacific Pitt Stop, called, and they said they could take me (it was about 5:40 at this point and they close at 6). Made my way over there and they got to working on my tire as soon as I got there and handed them my lock key. $15 and 10 minutes later, they had patched up the tire and I was ready to go! read more

I called around for an alignment, Pacific Pitt Stop was close to work and about $20 cheaper than others. It was a classic bait n switch or maybe I was wearing my stupid shirt. I was told that my strut and control arm were bent and needed to be replaced for around $500-600. I was surprised and P/O because I recently bought the car. I took it back to the dealer who said none of the struts and control arms are bent (didn't tell them which one so they checked all of them). Being a little cynical I took it to another mechanic who fixed my alignment for $75. When I asked them about my strut they said that if that was the case it would be pulling really hard to one end and I would have to be on top on the steering wheel pulling it back the other way with force. It would also make a loud noise when I'd go over bumps. As for the control arm, if it was bent my tire would be point in or out and not flush with the car. I wouldn't trust this place fix my bicycle. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Pacific Pitt Stop. Boyfriend got a flat on the way to work a few months ago and hobbled over to PPS. They patched his tire in 15 minutes and only charged him $15. The tires were in pretty bad shape, but they didn't hard sell him about buying new ones -- just mentioned that he might want to replace them in the next month or two. When I noticed the treads on my tires had gotten pretty bad, I called a bunch of places including PPS. PPS had the best price on the tires I wanted (Yokohama Avid TRV) and even including installation, old tire disposal and an alignment, I still got out of there for about $50 less than I had been quoted for just tires and install at other places. Although they didn't have my tires on hand when I called, they were able to get them within an hour. They will also drive you anywhere in El Segundo, if you live or work here, if you can't wait around for the installation. No one tried to upsell me to different tires or sell me services I didn't need (I actually NEEDED the alignment - I could tell and a previous mechanic had mentioned it, too). They're nice, competent and well-priced. They ARE NOT affiliated with the previous tire store at all (which I heard was kind of shady). I hope they thrive here in El Segundo. read more

So my engine broke down and I needed a replacement ASAP!!! I came across Pacific Pitt Stop and read reviews on them and decided to give them a call. I spoke to Lamari on the phone, who was extremely professional and provided excellent customer service. I managed to get my car towed to their shop, from downtown LA. I mean, I felt that their service was going to be awesome, so it was worth it (that and I had AAA). Long story short, their shop was super clean, their equipment all up to date, they have FREE WI -FI while I waited and the most comfortable couches around! Haha. Chava, the gentleman who fixed my car was very knowledgable of his skill as was the other crew members. Because I am a struggling college student, Lamari was able to work with me and I was able to drive out of there in less than a week with a brand new engine, a car that ran awesome, my bill paid in full and SATISFIED. I've had a slow leak in my front tire for about two years now (I know, I know), requiring me to put air in every few weeks. I finally pulled it together and went back to the place I got my tires from as they'd patch it for free. Upon arrival around lunchtime I was told there'd be a two hour wait, they didn't take appointments and it's pretty much be the same if I came at 8 a.m. Next! After posting in a Facebook group I got recommended this place by almost everyone. I called and they said to come right on over, no appointment needed. I was so caught off guard I didn't even ask about the wait. Turns out there was no wait! Twenty minutes and $20 my tire was patched and I was no longer a slave to the air pump. I put off getting it repaired for as long as possible - who wants to deal with tire places? My experience at Pacific Pitt Stop could not have been better. I drove in on a Friday morning. No wait. They looked at my tire right away and patched it within 15 minutes. All told, I was there 20 minutes. Here's the kicker - it was $15 to patch the tire!!! Fantastic!!! Definitely will go here again. And the waiting room was comfy with large, clean couches. Update: I've now been back twice to patch a tire, get new tires, and had a transmission fluid flush. Completely unreliable and untrustworthy. Had my front right tire replaced 2 months ago due to a nail hole. I specifically asked the desk clerk and mechanic if I needed more replaced to protect the alignment. They said no, absolutely not, your other tires are fine and your car is fine. 2 months later the same brand new tire is shot and flat and the rest of my tires are shot because of poor alignment. I went in for a simple tire rotation. The mechanic discovered that my back brakes were completely gone, both the pads and the rotors needed replacing. Since I do a lot of mountain driving, I wanted high-performance brakes that would last more than one year. I asked for an estimate and was given one for $130 for labor only. We both agreed to the price and I went and bought my brake parts at a specialty shop. Upon my return, the sales clerk who I had been dealing with said my car would be more because it's four-wheel-drive (which they knew when they rotated the tires) I have installed my own brakes several times and knew that the rear brakes are all the same on every Tahoe. They realized I knew what I was talking about and went back to the original price. As I was driving home, I noticed a squeak. I know this sometimes happens with new brakes breaking in. The noise continued for about a week, I didn't feel like driving down there and waiting so I just pulled the wheel myself. They used old brake pad hardware With none of the necessary lubrication. So I pretty much spent $130 on something I had to redo myself. read more

Finding a nail in your tire sucks. What sucks more is having to wait an hour or longer to get the damn tire repaired. I discovered a nail in my tire earlier this year and brought it here, and for $20 bucks the tire was repaired in UNDER a half hour-- unheard of! Last week I discovered yet another nail in my tire, and I stopped by here again since it was down the street from my work. I thought my 20 minute wait last time was a fluke and was prepared to stay an hour this time around. To my surprise, the service was even quicker this time. I was in and out in 15 minutes! To make things better, I didn't realize that I had lost one of my lug nuts. Alfredo was able to find one in his shop, and installed it for me, free of charge. Some people on here paid $13 bucks to repair their flats, where as I was charged $20 both times-- I'm pretty sure I paid more because I had low profile tires. I literally brought my car here 4 times in two weeks. The tire pressure was low in my front right tire and I had a feeling I had a nail. The first 2 times the mechanics said everything was fine and just put air in the tire. The 3rd time the mechanics said there was something wrong with the valve and said they fixed it. Then my tire became flat. Late at night I took it to Chevron and filled it up with air so that I could even get it to the mechanic the next morning. As I was filling it up I saw it bubbling and there was a clear nail! I brought it there first thing Monday morning and they told me that they needed it for the full day. They said they fixed it and removed the nail and successfully patched it and I am now writing this review only 3 days later having driven to West Hollywood from Manhattan Beach to find my tire completely flat again! They had me thinking it was safe driving on a highway where I could've killed myself or others. I brought it somewhere else and they immediately found the nail that they had left in the tire. He said that they didn't even patch it properly and they obviously just filled it with air and told me it was fixed. Liars. read more
