Mt Vesuvius Pizza , $1 for half olives
    Cassie F.

Edit. Moving the star rating up from a 2 to a 3 because the owner tried to call and apologize. Still a 3 because the problem could have been solved same day if they answered the phone & the price of the pizza isn't matching up with quality of the pizza. ************************************** Annoyed that we paid to get olives added to half of Mt Vesuvius Pizza and instead they put cheese and olives on half. Tried to call and fix the issues and they never answered. Disappointed in the service and the price of the pizza. The 12inch was $32 +$1 for the olives I recommend not tipping until you look at your Pizza.

Server was kind, atmosphere good. Our disappointment was in the food. We ordered 2 personal pizzas and boneless chicken wings. The chicken wings were okay. My pizza tasted like dough that was not cooked all the way. I personally did not like the cheese. My husband did not like the sauce or taste of cheese of his pizza. Someone else might enjoy this but it was not our preference.

    Pizza drinks service

Hubby's pizza, my pizza a salad and we bought a bomb because I did not know. Everything was absolutely delicious! you are going to have to wait. Good pizza takes time! We had our drinks while we waited w salad The server was positive and on top of things came back to make sure he got my pizza right; a Custom order. Hubby had beer and I had good red wine. Our server (he the whole show) brought us boxes) I recommend this pizza place, not rush

Amazing staff, delicious pizzas and their sandwiches are scrumptious!! Must eat here if you're visiting. Honestly my favorite pizza place in the area. #supportlocal, everyone. This place is 10x better than your cookie cutter franchise.

The Alfredo was nice and saucy! The pizza was nice and fresh

The food was delicious! My wife and I stopped on our drive back to LA from San Francisco. We had a pizza craving and found this place! It's worth a stop! The service was great! And the booths were comfortable and well lit. We shared the Alfredo and had one of their specialty pizzas. We will start making this one of our stops!

not used to writing bad reviews but this experience warranted it. ordered a pizza for my kids, pepperoni with light sauce as they don't really like a ton of red sauce. I wouldnt really care if they forgot but when the whole pizza is sauce and just a bit of cheese, I feel like it was not really edible. All this without mentioning they made a cheese pizza instead of pepperoni but that could be an honest mistake. unsure if this place has switched hands in ownership recently.

Peppers which are not on the menu and wasn't supposed to be there. Pizza all one side.

Ordered the Edna (chicken) as delivery. There were hot peppers even though the menu didn't say anything. Kids were NOT pleased. Also had some cheesy sticks which were okay but paid extra for marinara sauce and there was none. The pizza came all crumbled on one side. Not sure if that's from their kitchen or the delivery service. Would definitely not go or recommend again. Two stars because I dunno it was vaguely pizza shaped and there was chicken on it which we actually ordered.

Service is great and we love this place. We would be here a lot more as we live less than1m away, if it were not for the god awful 'country music'. Please just shut it off. Your chef clearly has attention to detail and is a prodigy. We loved the tortillas and butter you previously served, but the freshly fried tortilla chips, fresh homemade salsa and sauces were delightful and a much appreciated prelude to our lovely meal. We love the speakeasy. The bartender is absolutely wonderful. Best cocktails I've ever had. I would argue he is the best in the county. Frankly I love to just request 'dealers choice' and he makes the most amazing drinks I've ever had. Fun way to spend a weekend evening. Can I please just say one more time, get rid of this horrific noise. We love the DJ in the speakeasy! So cool, and great music in there. Even if we are not completely vibing with it, it's curated and inoffensive. Can I say, what a joy to have Beso in our neighborhood. We love this place (just NOT this 'music'). We come in for breakfast/brunch or dinner and the music is so annoying/uncomfortable/noxious, that we leave before ordering desert, etc. would hang out longer, would be in more frequently if not for that one big adversity. It takes a month or more to extinct the unpleasantness of the 'music' , we come in and there it is, all over again and we are reminded of why we don't visit more. Please fix this!!

The menu now includes only a few generic Mexican dishes and a single Margarita, apparently to keep folks like us from just turning around and going home (I was very tempted). They don't even have anything like the broad beer selection like that at the Arroyo Grande Blast & Brew, which has many of their own very good brews. We got the Chile Verde nachos, but it was tough to find much Chile Verde. They nicely split the order into two plates without our asking, apparently because we indicated that we would be sharing and charged $5 for that useless "improvement". Adding two tiny containers of dipping sauces for the Truffle Fries added $1.50 each (no one mentioned that they were "extra"). We don't care about the added cost, but this seems like a sleazy attempt to squeeze as much revenue as possible from patrons. We certainly will never go back.

I love coming here whenever I get the chance--the ambiance and atmosphere make it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food is excellent. Their take on pho soup is especially well executed and has quickly become one of my favorite dishes. The flavors are balanced and authentic, and you can really tell the care that goes into preparing it. Coming from Los Angeles, where great pho is easy to find, it's refreshing to be able to enjoy a bowl on the Central Coast that's made properly and with such attention to flavor. Because of that experience, I was excited to become a regular customer. Unfortunately, my second visit completely changed my opinion. I placed a takeout order for four dishes (around $100) and requested some sauces and plastic utensils with my order. When I arrived, I gave my name and was told my order was ready. I then politely asked for the utensils and sauces I had requested, and the employee helping me immediately responded with an attitude. Despite ordering multiple entrees, I was given just one packet of sriracha and one packet of hoisin sauce. When I asked for enough sauces and utensils for the meal, it became clear that this was somehow an issue. To make matters worse, after I had already given my name, I was asked to produce my receipt, and the interaction became increasingly hostile. As someone who has spent years working in hospitality, I understand that great service is what turns first-time guests into loyal customers. We were friendly, tipped well on our first visit, and came back because we genuinely enjoyed the food. I expected the same level of hospitality in return. And the gentlemen who helped us the first time Told me his family was in the business for years in socal and he should be the only person interacting with guests. The food is genuinely very good, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the rude and confrontational customer service completely overshadowed the quality of the meal. Imagine getting upset your customers want utensils and sauce after spending $100. What an absolute gut punch. Stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. I won't be returning. If customer service matters to you, I'd think twice before ordering take out from here.

Oh boy, real Santa Maria BBQ! Woo Hoo! Tri-Tip is the name of the game in these parts so that's what I'm doing. Got the Tri-Tip Dip and a side of BBQ sauce so I could have it both ways. I was really looking forward to these West Coast Chili Beans too. Wife wanted BBQ Chicken so I got her the BBQ Chicken Combo. I asked the girl at the register if we could get dark meat with the combo. She looked a little confused and said "You mean like Tri-Tip?" Oh boy. No, dark meat chicken like a thigh and drumstick. "Oh, do you want a breast or a thigh?". Let's roll with the thigh, thanks. Our food came out pretty quickly. I asked for horseradish for the Tri-Tip Dip and was politely told they don't have any. Silly me, why would they have horseradish when they sell a French Dip Sandwich? The Tri-Tip Dip was decent. Not going to lie. The West Coast Chili Beans were a disappointment. I expected so much better. The BBQ sauce was runny and tastes like molasses and maple syrup. Nah, Stick with the Au Jus and you will be fine. The Chicken Combo was a train wreck. Beans cold, rice cold, chicken overcooked by a mile. It's not easy to overcook the hell out of dark meat chicken but they found a way. Wife not happy, at all. It's another one and done. Of course, we could not come close to finishing all the food and had to ask for our included ice cream to go. Lucky, we had a room in Santa Maria with a big fridge and freezer. We got super excited! With that, don't waste your time on this, go to Orcut to Far Western Tavern so much nicer, friendlier and just overall better experience for similar food. Reservations were for 7:15pm and we arrived at 7:05, were told not to crazy busy just hang out. Managed to find 2 seats at the end of the bar and were served pretty quickly. We don't typically mind a busy place and eating at the bar so I asked my husband if he just wanted to eat there. My seat was at the end and they kept puking up dirty glasses so I wasn't crazy for it but saw everyone else eating at the bar. He said no... Our bartender was attentive and also asked after we had been there maybe 20 minutes and we still said no. We finally got seated for our 7:15pm reservation at 8:30pm. Our server kept coming by telling us she'd be right with us, this happened about 5 times. We waited and waited for service. I got to over hear both our waitress and the others great others and go over specials etc. Ours never really seemed to know if they were actually out of something, she'd say I think. When offering ice cream her list was different from the other waitresses. All this before we got to order. We decided to get the big Ribeye and share but not add on the shared plates. Waitress recommended extra salad so did that. So glad as we didn't need an extra set of sides as everything was larger portions. Salad was basic; bug cuts of iceberg lettuce shredded carrots and one sliced beet on top, with watered down ranch. Main course took forever to arrive; baked potato had all fixings yet was dry. The Ribeye was tough and chewy. I enjoyed the beans and bread dipped in them; funny since I don't really like beans. The hubs who does like beans said they tasted burnt. We finally left at 10pm! It was so ridiculously slow! Don't think I could get the hubs to even try it again. Very disappointed. We tried so many times to eat there and waited and waited in their tiny hallway. At least this time the host and bartender was friendly unlike previous times.
