This review is long overdue! I tried Ari's pizza at a party where it was catered and it's absolutely fantastic! I've had pizza in Italy, and one bite of this brought me back! The crust is light and has a soft chewy texture, which is created by tossing the dough vs using a press which a lot of fast-casual dining spots have been implementing. The sauce is wonderful! Julia child used to preach about the quality of her ingredients vs quantity and she would be proud of this sauce. The tomatoes are imported from Italy and the sauce tastes like the ripest, sweetest tomatoes blended into a simple sauce. As for the toppings you have the freedom of choosing your own. The mozzarella cheese is incredible and all the vegetables are cooked in the wood fire oven given them an amazing rich flavor! This pizza is by far the best I have had in OC when it comes to authentic Italian pizza! I had their pizza at an event this past weekend. They worked their tails off and I swear they cranked out over 350 pizzas. Outstanding pizza made by a devoted crew. Fresh mozzarella on a thin crust. This review is a little overdue, but better late than never! I had the pleasure of working with Chef Ari to cater my backyard wedding for 175 people this summer (2014). I wanted to keep things casual and affordable. After talking to several different caterers, I still wasn't finding what I was looking for. If the price was good, the service was bad. If the service was good, the price was way out of my budget. In my searches, I came across mobile brick oven pizza caterers, which I didn't even know existed, and contacted ALL of them. Chef Ari was the best. Professional, polite, upfront, honest, everything I was looking for. AND, I could rent all my tables and chairs from him because he owns an event rental place also! Double points! Anyways, the price was right one point, Ari and his staff were on time, were perfect to work with and made wonderful food. For dinner we had several different types of pizza (you get to choose 10 and Ari threw in some of his own) and Caesar salad and before, bruschetta and pesto tortellini salad for appetizers. He even made enough pasta salad to accompany the pizza and Caesar salad at dinner. They bring their own setup, bar, truck, linens, black foam plates, napkins, and forks to eat on. I have seen some other pictures of their more formal events on facebook and I know they can do anything you want, but for my casual backyard affair, they made everything perfect. When I asked people how the pizza was, everyone said it was great and tons of people even got seconds and thirds. If you are wondering what my budget for food was (as that's what I wanted to know most when reading yelp reviews on caterers) Ari fit very comfortably in my 3-4k range for 1750 people, table, chairs, food and all! Now, Chef Ari will be opening up his first restaurant soon and you have to go visit!! We will be there for sure. If you're looking for awesome food, wonderful service, good prices, a one-stop-shop, and a real gem to work with, do not hesitate to call up Ari! We booked Pizza 900 for our daughter's Sweet 16. From the second Ari answered the phone, I felt so great and got informed about how the whole process and catering worked. He was so easy, kind, and passionate! When I hung up the phone, I did not need to call another mobile pizza company, nor did I even answer back the others I requested information from. Pizza 900 and the staff showed up promptly on time on the day of the event. They set up, started the oven, and started baking pizzas. The pizzas were ready and appetizingly waiting for the guest to indulge! EVERYONE LOVED every pizza. They had over 12 special pizzas, along with custom made ones if the guests chose to. I kept hearing over and over again how delicious the pizza is and how friendly the staff is. Pizza 900 made the night!!! Everyone asked where did I find this company? What a great idea it is! I wish you can experience what we did, because it was a perfect one, that I wish never ended. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Ari, and Peter, and Patrick, and I am sorry, I cannot remember the cute Asian girl's name, nor the pizza oven boy who was so funny! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! We had more than enough pizza for 65 people, with extras made and left for later in the evening. We had Caesar salad too, and that was yummy too. I was pleased to find this place as it is very close to my house and wouldn't be a nightmare to get to after work in the 5:00pm rush! It was great to be greeted upon walking in the door, and the cashier was very kind in answering all my questions as a first time customer. It was clear she takes pride in where she works and stands behind the product! I ordered three pizzas to take home for my mom, husband, and I, and we were all very happy! I stopped by Pizza 900's bi-weekly tasting yesterday and was blown away by the food. I was able to try the Sicilian, Persian and white pizza. Surprisingly the Persian was my favorite, who would've thought that cucumbers could taste good on a pizza?! Hand crushed tomato sauce, home made cheese, freshly chopped vegetables, everything about it was amazing. I took my leftovers back to work and my coworkers were oohing and ahhing over it. And, just a little added bonus, it's fun getting to get the creation of your pizza. From being so accommodating from the very first phone call to get details about his firm's offerings till a extremely kind e-mail thanking me for the business after they provided services. Ari and his team came early to set up, they were VERY efficient during the set up process to ensure that the set up layout was accommodating to my guests. The pizza's they delivered were truly the best pizzas that my guests and I have ever had. The toppings are to die for. The customer service provided by the staff was also EXTREMLY professional. We recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a big backyard party. We called Ari in July and he was so wonderful and accommodating over the phone, told us about his business, and we hired him on the spot. Ari made it easy for us by also having tables. chairs, tents & linens to rent . We had the MOST WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE with Ari and his crew with his wood-fired pizza oven, delicious hors d'oeuvres and salads, to say nothing of the exceptional service!! My wife hired them for my 50th. We are big fans of Napoleon style pizza and these guys did not disappoint. Very professional, great presentation and my guests loved being able to come into the pizza kitchen and make their own! These guys made a good party great! Before the party, when I told my mom that I was going to be serving pizza to our traditional, must-eat-kabob, Iranian guests, she almost murdered me. Ari was great, the pizza was delicious, and the rest of the food was fresh and tasty. The guys working for him were polite, soft-spoken, efficient and organized. We really loved the whole experience. They set up super quickly, and the tasty food started coming out soon after. We loved the salad, the stuffed mushrooms, the eggplant parm, and the bruscetta. We had Pizza 900 cater our daughter's engagement party last week-end and it was great! It was a pleasure to work with Ari and David. Very professional and fun! Ari and his crew set up on our driveway and did all the cooking as the party was under way in the backyard. Delicious bacon wrapped dates with feta right out of the pizza oven were to die for. Ari and his crew made 10 or more different kinds of pizza and just kept bringing it back to the party guests. For dessert they baked big cookies in the oven and brought them in individual plates and our guests could top with ice cream, berries, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, etc. The food was a big hit! Several guests took Pizza 900 pamphlets to use for their next party. Their cleanup was a big plus too. The next morning there was not any sign that we had had any food service at our place. Absolutely spotless! One of the reasons we chose Pizza 900 is that Ari and David also have an events planning company, Persiano Event Rentals. We needed tables, linens, glassware, chairs, a bar and they delivered it all the day before the party. David came to our home a few weeks before the party to see our space and help us decide what we needed. He was very helpful and professional. I went from anxious to excited for the party to happen. In addition to the crew doing the cooking they brought a server, Nghi, and a bartender, Liz. Both were darling, professional and very helpful.
