The service is very friendly and helpful. I felt like on the night we visited, the restaurant seemed a little dingy and messy. I'm not sure why it was that was, but luckily I had some wipes to clean down my table. The pizza is decent. I love the crust because it reminds me of naan. Not sure that's what they are going for, but in many areas of the pizza, if was like eating naan and not pizza. That said the slices with toppings were yummy. The crust has a lot of chew and maybe could have used a few minutes for a little more crisp. We also got the fried pickled veggies. I'm usually a fan of fried veggies, especially pickles. This was interesting in that they seemed to have a curry flavor. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite. It seemed more misplaced than anything. Maybe in a different food genre they would be amazing. We've also picked up pizza to go and always great service. However, I think this is miss a place we would stop into if we're in the area, but I really wouldn't go out of my way to get here.

The closest thing to Truth pizza as it is the same brick and mortar that Truth was once in. Very similar wood fire taste! Service was excellent and the atmosphere is chill. The cool things was that 2-1-dough is connected to Black Lab Brewery. Wonderful pizza, beer, and good vibes.

Everything was really good and food came very fast. The Brussels was crispy and had Parmesan cheese and honey on it. Would order again. Pizza was delicious. I also had the wedge salad and it was a nice size but they did not put enough dressing on it. When I asked for extra dressing, they charge me $1.50 for a small container. If you're going to charge for extra dressing make sure to put enough on the salad. Also when I order a Coke, they just gave me a can. No glass and they had no ice. So if I wanted a refill, I would pay extra for that as well since they have no soda fountain. I would go back again. They do have a bar area that serve alcoholic drinks and draft beers. Also an area to play video games.

Very much a Spurs fan atmosphere. 5 minutes from the Alamodome and 10-15 minutes from Spurs center(traffic...play I spy to past the travel time in vehicle). Inside of a small strip center 2-1 Dough has a great selection on menu. Restaurant is connected to a bar...a +++. Dined here with my son who introduced me to this restaurant and selected the pizza. I do enjoy my all meat selections when I order pizzas on the regular but i gave it a try. To my surprise it was delicious. Enjoyed it with a Black Lab Tex-Mex beer.i highly recommended this restaurant!

San Antonio, Texas Came here based on Yelp reviews. Why? Because Yelp never disappoints me. First impressions. They have a few tables for outdoor eating. They have indoor tables which are great if you're bringing a dog as it is a dog friendly restaurant/bar. As we entered the restaurant two ladies were standing up front, Karen and Araceli. They greeted us with kindness and smiles. They gave me a menu and told me to grab a seat on either the bar side or the restaurant side and then come up to the host to stand to order. We sat on the bar side and decided on a chicken blue cheese pizza. I walked up to the bar and chose a draft from about 8 to 10 available. I like a Guinness but I like to top it with a cider or seasonal beer. The beer was listed for $10 on the menu. The bartender charged me $14 plus tax for a 12 ounce pour. And I told him that was ridiculous. He said well I gave you 10 ounces of beer +4 ounces of the other. I told him it was impossible to put that all into a 12 ounce glass. I think you overcharged me. He vehemently denied it. I was not happy but paid him the cost of roughly a one and a half beers when in reality, I only got one. And I tipped him on top of that because I felt bad for his ridiculous math skills. Our pizza came out and the hostess apologized for the size of the pizza. She said that the chef thought it was too small for what he normally makes. We were OK with the size. She insisted on making us another one and we insisted it was not necessary. I will say that I thought that there was not enough chicken on the pizza. however, I was blown away by the taste of the dough. The pizza was good and I would definitely come back. I know that many people said they would not go out of their way for this pizza. I disagree. I would go out of my way to grab a pie from them. However, I would not have a draft beer. I m truly appalled at paying $14 for a draft beer that was listed for $10. If you want to charge extra then give me a full poor $10 and half a pour of the other for $4. Feel like I was ripped off. I would given this place 4.8 stars for the pizza. 5 stars for the hostess staff. 2 stars for the bartender. This averages 3.9 stars. But since I loved the pizza and the hostess I will rate my experience on those two and give this place 4.9 stars.

Amazing food!!! The pizza reminded me of HOME (Philly). The sandwich was also great. We enjoyed a chicken parm sandwich. Would definitely return. The chips that came with the sandwich were homemade.....the house definitely makes great chips. The service was great and the ambiance was nice. Not too loud, not too quiet. Just right. Thank you to the staff and cooks.

Ordered a pizza and a salad. Service was great! Very attentive. Salad was so big I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Pizza crust was the best I've had in San Antonio so far. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors.

Thanks Yelp! Another great find not too far from home. The chips and dill dip are so amazing; paper thin and crispy potato chips with a perfectly creamy dill dip. This should be served at every get together. The pizza has a nice ratio of toppings & cheese to crust and an airy, crispy crust with a perfect char. Order at the counter and they'll drop off at the table. They share the area with black laboratory brewery which has a nice selection of beers. We sat inside but there's a nice outdoor area too. It's a little off the beaten path, but we'll go back!

Pizza was some of the best I've had in SA. Took the labs and had a great time. Missed the N64 and Super Nintendo they had inside. Beers were good as well. Staff was helpful and very nice. Good place for kids and dogs.

If you're into wood-fired pizza, 2-1-Dough Pizza is a must try. Located in the same space as Black Laboratory Brewing, it's the perfect spot to enjoy great pizza with a cold craft beer. The dough is a standout. It's light, chewy, and packed with flavor, and their creative toppings take things to the next level. Every pie feels thoughtfully made, with unique combos that go beyond the usual. Don't miss the Brussels sprouts appetizer, it is crispy, bold, and absolutely fantastic. This is easily one of my favorite pizza places in San Antonio. Great food, great vibe, and an unbeatable pairing with a local brew.

Visiting from Houston and OMG the pizza and craft beer here are so good! Also, some of the best wings and Brussel sprouts I've had! Highly recommend the chimichurri wings and brussel sprouts for appetizers. The Grizzly and Rodeo Ten were my favorite beers

Decent spot to sit outside or inside. The bar is a different business and not very good. The garlic cheese bread is very very good! Marinara was tasty and good. Ranch was excellent. Wings were just ok and too salty hence the 4 stars. Pizza was good but not great. Service was fine.

    peach prosciutto pizza

This pizza is the best homemade pizza i've had in San Antonio!! Walk up and order, play N64 games while you wait. It's also partnered with Black Laboratory Beer that has lots of can + draft options for beer/cider. Chill and casual vibes to come kick it with the homies. Chef Jesus is a mastermind when it comes to pizza!! You must try the Peach Prosciutto pizza with the honey ricotta. A must see if you're passing San Antonio!

The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. I've eaten at a lot of good restaurants while traveling, but very few have made me feel as welcome as Dough did. Great food is one thing. Great people are what made me come back the very next day. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

Our waiter was…read moreincredibly attentive and took the time to explain the restaurant's philosophy: as many ingredients as possible are imported directly from Italy, and anything that can't be imported is thoughtfully sourced from local producers. That attention to detail definitely comes through in the food. I ordered the arugula salad with chicken, and it was outstanding. The combination of candied pumpkin seeds, creamy goat cheese, roasted beets, and balsamic vinaigrette was perfectly balanced, with every bite offering great texture and flavor. My friends ordered the pepperoni pizza and couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. Then came dessert... and I completely lost all self-control--in the best way possible. We ordered the affogato, tiramisu, torta di polenta, and the Nutella torta. Every single dessert was beautifully executed and absolutely delicious. If I had to pick favorites, the affogato and the Nutella torta were the standouts, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Excellent service, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, and food that delivers from start to finish. I'll definitely be back!

The food feels like the chefs were given good quality materials, but had no idea what to do with them. We ordered a funghi pizza to share then a cinghiale, a costine (short ribs), and a dentice (bass). Funghi pizza was the only dish that made coming worth it at all. It had a nice flavor, but if you're expecting the notes of an earthy mushroom flavor, don't. It's just a nicer version of a standard cheese pizza topped with some onions and mushroom. The cinghiale was just stunningly mediocre. The meat was flavorful, but the pasta itself was shockingly bland. It was just so... ok. The dentice was the best of the 3 individual dishes, but it is just what you would expect some average short ribs with random sauce to taste. The costine was just terrible. Salty on the outside, yet flavorless on the inside. Avoid at all costs. The service was passable, but they clearly overwork their servers as one server just handles an entire section and is too overwhelmed to be timely. I came to cheer myself up, but honestly it only made dinner comically worse. I seriously can't imagine what would cause someone to rate this as 5 stars. Maybe if they thought Olive Garden was 4.5, then I guess this would barely be a 5 in comparison? Either way, if you're looking for good food for your dinner, keep looking. You won't find it here.

Every dish feels thoughtfully curated with tried-and-true recipes rooted in Chef Luca and his family's Northern Italian traditions. This is the kind of place where quality takes priority over quantity. Our server, Gary, was fantastic. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about Italian food and wine. His recommendations were spot-on and his enthusiasm felt so genuine. We started with a bread basket accompanied by a little sampling of tapenade, which was savory, briny, and a perfect complement to the warm bread. Came in with a group of four, we kicked things off with the burrata starter--a surprisingly fun and shareable adventure of baked burrata, fresh crostini, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, and basil cream. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked beautifully together. For our entrées, we ordered the Tartufo, Cinghiale, Bolognese, and Carbonara. And let me just say, the Tartufo was a full-on dinner performance. Gary brought out steaming hot tagliatelle pasta and tossed it tableside inside a giant wheel of Parmesan. He then topped it with crab meat in brown butter before finishing it with a generous shaving of truffle. Every bite was like a perfectly timed symphony of flavors--rich, savory, buttery, and earthy, with nothing outshining the other. I'd put this dish up against anyone's nonna. I sampled the other three entrées as well, and every one was delicious. The gnocchi in the Cinghiale is an absolute must-try--pillowy, texturally delightful, and packed with flavor. Thank you, Nonna Osteria, for such an epic culinary experience. And a special shoutout to Gary for guiding us through the menu and making an already great dinner even better.
