I am new again to TX and this side of town and when I called to get the delivery specials I got a rude kid that said they had the same specials they always have and it's too many to go through and he was TOO BUSY to go through them because he had a big order, and then said so do you know what you want or what? Ummmm yeah; won't ever try that place. Just because the pizza might be good doesn't mean I have to put up with rude people. If I could leave a million stars, I would. This place is AMAZING! My family was visiting San Antonio for the weekend. We spent all Saturday at Sea World and we didn't get back to the hotel until 10:30pm. We were starving! so the easiest thing to do was order pizza. We had a bunch of pizza flyers so we decided to call the one for Pizza Hut, placed the order and then an hour later we get a call from them saying that the location that got the order was not in the delivery range and that they would have to call the manager to see if they could deliver. We were seriously pissed! So i resorted to Yelp to help me find a pizza place that i could either pick up or deliver to us that late at night and i found Pizza Classics! We called them and placed the order 4 pizza's. Since they have an awesome special for pick-up only, buy one get one free, we used the pick-up option. When i went to get the pizza, i was kindly greeted! They had my pizza ready. They even offered to take my pizza to the car but i kindly rejected. They all told me to have a good night. As i got to my car, i forgot to ask for plates so i ran back in and asked and they provided me with plates, utensils, napkins and Parmesan cheese. They once again told me to have a good night and be safe! I felt like I had the best service so i ran back in for the last time and gave the guy up front a little extra cash for tip! i didn't have a whole lot since we were just at sea world but i would have given more if i had it on me. I will definitely go back the next time i am in San Antonio! I just want to say thanks to the guys who were working on Saturday night! You guys rock! I haven't reviewed Pizza Classics yet? Damn! Guess I'm trying to keep some of the best pizza in San Antonio to myself. Pizza Classics is one of my favorite pizza places in town. First off they have buy 1 get 1, so I never have to settle on something with my girlfriend, we each get what we want and walk away happy. Secondly, they are open late, very late, and that is very convenient after a night downtown or on the strip. The service here is amazing! Every single person is so friendly here. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of, even when they have 30 tickets in the window and will be delivering pizzas until 3 r 4 in the morning. The pizza? Yeah, it is also awesome. There are a variety of specialty pizzas, or the basic build your own style. They are loaded with toppings, and the crust is a little thicker than New York Style. Don't forget an order of pepperoni rolls too! Get both the ranch and the marinara. The new location, on St. Mary's, has a dine in are now. It is bigger and much nicer than the location they used to have on Broadway. read more

I may have found my neighborhood pizzeria, and I am not crazy impressed - here's why: Impressive This place is fast during the dinner rush. I ordered two pies and a side at 6:45 and it was ready at 7pm. The phone service was friendly and efficient. The large pies were definitely large, and the cheesy bread was the size of a pizza pie, so there was ample food. Non-Impressive $30+ for two pies and cheesy bread is a little steep, considering how cheap the ingredients are. The pizza wasn't delicious enough for me to fall in love with the place. Not to sound trashy but this was some damn good pizza for being drunk and needing carbs at 2:00 in the morning. They're open til 2:30am and are located right off Broadway so it's pretty central to where ever it is that you're boozing it up. They have a daily special of 2 for 1. You have a wide variety of sizes to choose from and as long as the quantity of toppings is the same on both pies you can still get the 2 for 1 and not be stuck with a ton of sausage and green olive. Called three other highly recommended pizza restaurants before trying Pizza Classic. Must have been a God thing because one answering machine said text them if they didn't answer, the other two didn't even answer the phone. Pizza Classic answered on the second ring and the lady taking my order was extremely patient and helpful since it was my first time ordering from them and I didn't have a menu. The pizza was delivered to my hotel extremely fast, it arrived hot and fresh. The delivery man was polite and professional. All the ingredients were fresh and the taste was awesome. Literally went in to order spaghetti to go. Just plain spaghetti no meatballs. Had been waiting over 45 minutes for it and got meatballs on it. I had explained I couldn't eat it since I was vegetarian. Horrible service. Would not recommend. Spaghetti wasn't even good. Would give 0 stars if I could. I had heard and read so many great things only to be completely let down. BAD SERVICE makes any good food become horrible really quickly. We had a good size order 2 pizzas a child's spaghetti, cinnamon sticks and 12 wings. We got our food and the wings were missing the girl that brought us the food asked us if there was anything else, at which time we told her our wings. She said ok and never came back, then 10 min after we got our food I went up to the counter and asked for my wings. I was told that wings take longer to make, that they take 20 min to make. I tried to explain myself but was cut off then ignored. After we finished our food some 40 min later I went to ask about my wings and was told they must have gave them to someone else and they could have some out in 10 min??? What happened to the 20 min it takes to cook them before?? I just asked for my money back as no one there seemed to care that our dinner was pretty much ruined. I will not be coming back and I will be adding this review to as many sites as I can. Not one person apologized and no one seemed to even care. Not a good look!!! read more

Exhausted in our hotel and craving good (read: non-chain) 'za and cold beer, Pizza Classics was everything we hoped for. Fresh, decently priced with eclectic management- the H-town-esque surroundings and obvious lack of zoning laws was just an added bonus, as was the assistance in obtaining adult beverages. Such a positive experience. We walked from Faust Tavern, so it is hiking distance from the main strip. The service was excellent. I had a coupon for free breadsticks and the woman behind the counter redeemed it even when I had trouble pulling it up on my phone. This place epitomizes the adage, "do not judge a book by its cover." The place is small and a little shoddy but who cares, the pizza is awesome - easily in my top 5 pizza places of San Antonio. They don't skimp on toppings or cheese, the crust is great, and the price is excellent. It's also buy one get one free. There is no dining area, only a small indoor waiting area with arcade games and 2 benches. We ordered 3 pizzas and waited less than 15 minutes on a Friday night. Some of the Best Pizza in SA! Great crust and not too greasy. They also offer vegan options. The service can be iffy but it's usually better if you call ahead. Pizza is ok. The bread sticks are good. BUT, I saw a deal for free bread sticks on Yelp... the guy on the phone was totally cool about honoring the deal, but when my husband went to pick ip the order, a lady was very rude to him about the bread sticks. She gave him a really hard time about the bread sticks. I guess breadsticks are really important to her....important enough to give a guy a hard time while we're on vacation. Lame! Even if there is a misunderstanding of some sort, I don't expect places that I pay money to be giving a hard time to their clientele. read more

After we got back to our hotel from walking around the riverwalk we decided to order a pizza. After reading some reviews on yelp we decided to go with this. We ordered a medium pizza and a calzone. The person that took our order said it would be delivered in 45-50 minutes. Our order arrived in about 40 minutes and looked delicious. The pizza and calzone were both great. The crust on the pizza was my favorite part. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there was hardly any sauce on the pizza. I wish I could give 4.5 stars. Great pizza though.
