Chicken bacon roasted garlic thin crust that was supposed to be on white sauce not red sauce.
    Renee B.

Updating review as was contacted by Pizza Express to make it right and I appreciate that the company would do that. Solid company and it is clean. There are a couple of places you can eat inside. Will keep them on our list of pizza places to go to when we want pizza. _________________________________________________________ So I called in and ordered for pickup. The guy was nice. I got jalapeno poppers, a gyro sandwich, and a white sauce pizza with chicken, bacon, a roasted garlic. I got there when it was supposed to be ready and it was. The lady working seemed rushed and overwhelmed. I normally look at the pizza before leaving but for some reason I didn't this time. Mistake! Got home and opened the pizza box...low and behold I got red sauce, not the white sauce I ordered. It wasn't what I wanted. I didn't feel like driving all the way back, so we ate it but it was not satisfying. On to the gyro...we have had this sandwich before and it was decent. Today was dry, not flavorful and throw together without a care. The jalapeno poppers were good. Typical frozen version, fried. But they are satisfying. Unfortunately ranch is extra if you want it. And for $10 for 8 pieces, a side of ranch with it, shouldn't break the bank. We used to go and loved it. When we wanted pizza, this was one of our go to's. But we have noticed the slow decline in quality. Overall, probably won't be back. Just wasn't overall satisfying for what we asked for.

There product never disappoints, ordered here at least 5 times in the last few months. Consistent quality. Had pizzas and salads, plan to venture to new menu items.

Pepperoni and peppers--two of my favorite peps

Great service and friendly people--I would go back here today if I had the cash. And Therein lies the problem. The pizza is fabulous, with a bready crust, ample toppings, deliciously cheesy. We got a gyro pizza and that was the standout--the gyro meat and the onions go so well with the cheese and crust. We got another, half pepper and half pepperoni--also great ingredients and tasty. But $42 for two pizzas is just too much -- add a tip and again, just a bit on the expensive side. However, I will look for specials and will tell friends that for pizza this place is great.

    Greek Salad

Tonight was our first time ordering from Pizza Express. Customer service was wonderful. I was greeted with smiles and friendly conversation. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and a large Greek salad. The salad was huge and loaded with olives, tomatoes, mushrooms and feta on a beautiful bed of fresh greens. It came with 2 small containers of balsamic vinegar and oil dressing. The pizza was absolutely delicious. From the first bite till the last. I did get a picture of the salad but forgot one of the pizza. Next time. We will definitely be going back!

Gyro was a little dry and you could tell that the meat was not fresh but the pizza here is the best in town

We started with the meatballs and wedge salad--both were so good--and then followed it up with the rossa pasta with sun-dried tomatoes pesto and burrata. Every dish had layers of flavor--not just good, but the kind of "wait... what is that?" in the best way. Everything felt thoughtful, balanced, and really well put together. Sharing everything made it even more fun, and honestly, we left completely satisfied and already talking about coming back. Our server was the bartender, and he was very attentive, kind, well poised, and handled things very professionally. Happy hour cocktails a bonus. They also have a rooftop lounge which looks pretty sweet, but we did not venture up there today. But definitely something I would recommend checking out if you're in the area and you just want some appetizers and a cocktail head upstairs!

We have eaten grilled and fried fish tacos and the fish and chips. All the dishes are filling and satisfying. The fish tacos have a nice helping of shredded cabbage and sauce. We stopped here on Memorial Day mostly because we were in Templeton heading to Trader Joe's to stock up on snacks and water for the long drive home. Pier 46 averaged around 4.8 stars on Yelp, so expectations were reasonably high. Based on what we ordered, that rating feels inflated. The setup is very casual. You walk in, order at the counter, pay -- Apple Pay accepted, at least -- and then wait. No table marker, no number, no sleek system. When the food is ready, a guy in a trucker cap finds you. There's some charm in that, but the whole operation also feels a little outdated. The tables are cheap and old, and the dining area has a bit of that "we've been meaning to freshen this up since 2014" energy. Outdoor seating was available, but it was cold and windy, and I didn't want my fish and chips turning into flying fish and chips. The outdoor area also looked a little tacky and wasn't cleaned immediately after prior parties left crumbs behind. Indoors wasn't exactly glamorous either, but at least the wind wasn't trying to garnish my lunch. The music was good, though. Linda Ronstadt's "Long Long Time" was playing while I waited for my order, and standing there hungry, I felt those lyrics a little too deeply. Dramatic? Yes. But hunger always exaggerates one's sense of time eventually. The food took around 10 to 15 minutes, a little longer than expected but not a major issue. The fish and chips were probably the better item. The batter was light, crisp, and not too oily, and the frying oil seemed fresh. That part was solid. The fries, however, were not really "chips" in the traditional fish-and-chips sense. It was more like a mix of basic fries and sweet potato fries. Not bad, but I ordered fish and chips, not fish and half-fries/half-sweet-potato-fries in a witness protection program. I ordered the cioppino, which came in what I can only describe as a gold-digger pan -- shiny, dramatic, and possibly one real estate transaction away from a Bravo show. The stew had plenty of tomato clumps, a few clams, several mussels, pieces of salmon, and a lot of tuna/ahi. The salmon pieces were nice enough, but the ahi did not do the dish any favors. It was overcooked and dry, almost chicken-like, which is not exactly the maritime poetry one hopes for in cioppino. The broth had a pleasant thyme aftertaste, but overall it wasn't memorable. Cioppino should have depth, brine, garlic, tomato, heat, and a little bit of oceanic danger. This one was more like a respectable tomato seafood stew that showed up, did its job, and then quietly left before anyone asked it a follow-up question. The garlic bread was also underwhelming and a bit too burnt around the edges. Not inedible, not disaster-level, just lacking that satisfying garlic-butter punch. It was more "toast that had heard about garlic from a cousin." The clam chowder was fine: creamy, mild, safe. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing that would make me start writing postcards home either. I had a Pinot Noir with the meal, and that was actually pretty good. No complaints there. Service was sincere and reliable, and I don't have any real issue with the staff. The place clearly has appeal, and the seafood counter looked promising. I could see returning to try something simpler, maybe grilled fish, tacos, or something from the fresh case. But based on the cioppino, fish and chips, chowder, and overall vibe, this was not a 4.8-star experience for me. It did the job, but it won't be especially memorable except for the cioppino arriving in that gold-digger pan. Overall: no major problems, but nothing close to a seafood revelation. A standard 3 out of 5 based on what I ordered, with the vibes landing closer to a lukewarm 2.8. My main suggestion: ditch the dried-up ahi and add more clams and scallops. Cioppino needs brine, sweetness, and ocean character -- not tuna doing a bad impression of chicken breast.

As far as cheeses go, their truffle pecorino is literally to die for. And anyone who tries Nduja for the first time will get hooked on it. I first experienced this Calabrian delicacy in Tuscany on pizza and was super stoked to see that Alle-Pia makes their own as it's extremely hard to find outside of Italy.
