Me and my crew were working up in Oakland and I noticed there's this Pizza Factory Express location here. It's located on Seminary Ave just off Bancroft. This is kinda a sketch "hood" so I don't think I'd wanna come here a alone at night, but during the day with 2 others is OK. These Express locations are smaller stores more dedicated to delivery and take out orders, but you can still eat inside if you really want to. The dining area is much smaller and there's no video games, but then again, there's no screaming children either! There is no pizza lunch buffet either like the larger locations have. Service was fine, we ordered a large Calzone Combo. The pizza came out in a little while, it takes two passes into the oven to cook and melt the cheese on top. We cut it into three pieces for us. The middle piece had the most goodies inside, but every piece still had plenty of fillings and was all hot and tasty! I got delivery pizza from the Pizza Factory at Seminary Point in East Oakland. Look at my photos, that's a beautiful combo pizza. The fresh toppings create bright colors and delicious flavors. What's missing? It needs more cheese! There's not enough gooey strands of melted cheese. But the crispy light crust was good and tasty. Brand new spot, pizza counter opened inside of what was formerly It's a Grind, now Grind Oakland. Had to see what the pizza quality is like, and was worth the $5 slice price to try it out. Probably the best pizza in the immediate vicinity, close tie with Doughjo, but at a better price with more food offerings. Like that they have a rewards program, will def try some of their sandwiches and salads in the future. read more

Everything is different and not in a good way, especially noticeable with the sauce. I don't think it is the locations fault - I have ordered from here before and it was the same as other pizza factories. I see that the whole company was acquired by someone new on 5/1- that's how different it was, so much that I went looking for why- and that is probably the reason for the change - but it's just not nearly as good as it was a few months ago. Sauce is like tomato water now and it used to be thick thick. The service is fine and I have no issue with the owners here. I have been eating pizza factory since '95 because it was always my favorite, and it has been consistent at all locations until now. If you aren't already familiar with pizza factory, the pizza will be fine. read more

5 stars for an extremely accurate wait time after placing my order online for in store pickup. My pizza was as delicious as I had expected, if not even more, with LOTS of garlic, just the way I love it. I have been to the Rio Vista pizza factory many times & they had set the bar high. I ordered the Italian sub sandwich. I ordered online and it was ready on time when I went to pick it up. I asked for it cold. The bread was warm and something strange happened with the cheese. It was not a pleasant texture. I did get offered pickles and pepperoncini when I arrived which I appreciated. The place shares a spot with a coffee shop. Very good pizza delivering in East Oakland. Toppings were of good quality, generous and the sauce tasty, my only reason for not giving them a five star, is the crust. It's a bit on the chewy side, next time I'll ask them to cook it well done and see if that helps. Customer service was five star. I made a mistake in the online ordering and they corrected it with no issue. Pizza was delivered quickly, fresh and hot. Much appreciated. We had an extra large and three of us were well fed with a few pieces left over. As a delivery pizza, they definitely beat out Papa John's, Dominos, Redboy or Mountain Mike's IMHO. Since moving to the Bay Area 10 years ago I've missed the classic taste of their pizza! Imagine my surprise when I got a craving for some za and saw that a PF was in the same city as me! I attended the grand opening today. I didn't make it on time for the free pizza but I still had the chance to buy a small pizza for $10. I ordered the pepperoni and it was delicious!
