I have no go to take, yet alone eat in pizza place in the area yet, and frankly I haven't had any pizza in months. So inevitably the urge to eat some pizza hit me, so I did what every sensible person would do, I yelped for a local carry out pizza place. The concord Pizza Guys is only a block walk from me, which is awesome. The Prices of the deals are pretty good, I went for the Family Meal Deal, planning on leftover pizza for a few days. The free 2liter or quart of ice cream with carry out orders is a nice touch. I ordered the thin crust, which is supposed to be a light crunchy cracker crust as the standard; the pizza crust I got was not a thin crust, I think they claim thin based on the lack of bready/chew crust edge of standard crust, but what was bready/chewy and all around soggy and nasty was every inch of crust that was under the cheese. Mind you this pizza was 8 minutes out of the oven, it hadn't sat around for any amount of time to get soggy, came out of the oven that way. Toppings and cheese are decent, but this pizza just wasn't good. You always hear the saying about sex and pizza......but this pizza is pretty bad. I was hungry, I wanted pizza, I ate the pizza.... but now I need to find a decent pizza joint so when in another few months I have an urge to eat pizza again, I don't waste my efforts on something that isn't good. read more

Update - I'm updating my review and giving them 4 stars because I discovered that if you call the store, they will do the substitutions without charging extra. So they're back in my good graces. I'm still disappointed in their website, but will just have to call in my order from now on. Original review: This review is actually for their website, but Yelp was missing this location and this is the location I used to order from, so here goes. I would actually rate this location 4 stars and I rate their pizza 4 stars. I think their pizza is good and pretty consistent. I think for delivery pizza - this is one of the best options around. I think Extreme pizza is better, but they don't deliver to my area, so Pizza Guys (was) the only place I'd order from. I loved that I could place my order online, and have it delivered quickly. This location is good at that. The reason I won't order from Pizza Guys anymore is because they changed their website and the way they charge for pizzas so now I would have to pay more for the exact same order I had placed many times before. With their old website, I could substitute 3 items from one of their "specialty" pizzas without changing the price of the pizza - so on a specialty pizza that has 6 ingredients, I could remove ground-beef, yellow onions and green peppers, and substitute garlic, green onions and cheddar cheese - without changing the cost. Now with their new website, they are happy to remove the ingredients I don't want, but want me to pay $2 more for each ingredient I want to substitute, so now my pizza is $6 more than I used to pay. I'm not okay with that so they've lost my business. If the geniuses at their corporate office ever get around to changing their website to allow for substitutions without changing the price, then I'll gladly order from them again, but for now, I'll just drive to Extreme Pizza instead. read more

Went to order a pizza this evening from Pizza Guys in Concord. We have been happy in the past with their quality and reasonable cost. We discovered they raised their prices from the last time we ordered from $10.99 to $15.99 for a medium pizza. I was stunned with a 50% price increase. What a rip. My wife and I used to enjoy their pizzas quite a bit. However, over the past few months we've noticed a SIGNIFICANT reduction in the amounts of sauce, cheese, and toppings added onto their pizzas. Also, their crust has virtually no flavor. My wife and I both feel ripped off. As a result, we will no longer be ordering from them. I'm giving this place 2 stars for a couple of reasons. First of all, we ordered online and selected the delivery button. Over an hour later, I was getting impatient and right then, someone from the store called and asked us if we had wanted the pizza to be delivered because it had been over an hour. Now, if I had been talking to her, I'd have said, "Yeah I'm fully aware it's been over an hour, bitch!" But my husband was the one that took the call, and he's much more patient than I am. According to him, however, this girl had an attitude and wasn't apologetic (another reason I'm only giving 2 stars). So anyway, this girl said we'd have to pay the delivery fee because apparently we didn't get charged for it at first, which I think they should have waived since it was their mistake (or a glitch with their website) but whatever (reason number 3 for the bad review). We finally got our pizza about 20 minutes later, which was still too long for how far we live from the place. The only good things I have to say about this place are that the pizza was pretty tasty, though not as hot as I would prefer because it took them forever to get it to us, and I can't complain about the free ice cream we got with our large pizza. The delivery guy was more apologetic than the girl on the phone, but if I order from them again, I'll do it over the phone and emphasize that I want DELIVERY. read more

This review is for this particular store. I've been a customer of pizza guys for years but this particular store gave me the worst experience I've ever had. I had a pizza delivered to my hotel room and the delivery guy became very rude to me when I asked him to repeat what he said. I immediately called the store and made a complaint and asked for a manager to call me back. I called back the following morning and they said the manager wasn't in and will not be in til late afternoon. So a "manager" calls me back and ask what happened and I told him. He apologizes and tells me on my next order, he'll throw in a free soda. Really? A free soda? I paid $45+ the night before and on my next order the best thing you can do for me is throw in a soda? I asked if I could return the pizzas he gave me (which gave my finance and I food poisoning to make matters worse) or a refund on my order or really anything and he said no, I can't return the pizza or get any sort of compensation for the lack of service. This is absolute bullshit. So for any of you out there thinking of getting delivery, beware of the rude delivery service and bullshit management. I truly hope this particular establishment burns down. And if the manager is reading this right now, fuck you, you goat fucking bitch. read more

I have been going to Pizza Guys on Salvio Street in Concord for several years and planning to do so for the years to come. They say: "10-15 minutes" and it takes approximately so from the time of the order to the time you get this fresh, hot, deliriously aromatic box in your hands. The women of my family are vegetarians. The men are not. So we order extra large - half veggie delight, half whatever the mood of the men. I love their Hawaiian delight: tomato sauce, bacon, juicy chunks of pineapple, loaded with 100% Real Mozzarella Cheese. Ymm! Extra large brings you also a free large bottle of soda. I absolutely LOVE this place!!! I get delivery to my home twice a week and it's always on time or earlier. I've had just about everything on the menu. I have not had any bad experiance at any stage of the game. The people on the phone are nice when I call in my order and they are always bringing me something free since I'm a frequent flyer there. My most favorite pizza is the Artichoke Fiesta. I'm not a vegetarian, but this pizza is fantastic!!! And those Munchees are awesome. These little cheese rolls with pieces of Jalapino Peppers and rolled in Potato flakes and baked. Dipped in ranch these just rock!!! I just recently tried their Penne Pasta & Marinera Sauce & Italion Garlic Sausage. Nice size serving and came with two pieces of Toasted Cheesey Bread. The next day it's just as good as the night before. I've even frozen some before just to see how it tastes. In the Micro with a plastic cover over the plate for 65-70 seconds and presto!!!
