I'm giving this place 4 stars for the staff here. Greeted us and everyone working and had smiles on their faces. They are all kind and super helpful to my fiancé and I while on our trip. We only stopped here because I've never been in a dine in Pizza Hut before and I was really excited to come in. I am not a Pizza Hut fan at all, but I had to come inside and dine in. It's old. Like really old and the table was a little sticky, but I felt like a kid lol. The pizza here was the best Pizza Hut pizza I've ever had. Like there was plenty of sauce, cheese, and meat. It was delicious! It was a weird experience, but I had fun! Next time I spend 2 weeks in Concan I'll definitely drive up here for my midweek pizza craving. Also good new ladies I guess their former employee Haley Wells isn't working here anymore so no one tried to homewreck this visit! anyways this place is great for to go !!

The worst customer service experience ever! I called to complain about my lack of cheese on my Super Supreme. I didn't order bread sauce and onions only. If you don't have enough cheese stop calling yourself Pizza Hut. The woman who answered says ok well DON'T EAT IT! I will make you a new one. I get upset of course because her focus is to get this poorly made pizza back not making sure she is addressing the fact you sent this shit to my house! So she hangs up because she doesn't have to be talked to like that! And refuses to answer when I called back! So here I am writing this review because I have spent plenty of money over the years with this franchise. In fact I hope the corporate office reads this and contacts me! Who does the double check before the pizza leaves the store? This isn't the first time I have ordered and it has been a miss. You can't keep fucking up peoples food and expect them to be kind to you.

I chose carry-out instead of dining in. The pizza was ready at exactly the time they said it would be. The cashier was very welcoming.

No. Did I know there was a Castroville-favorite restaurant there as well? Also no. We had to try it. Located inside the Alsatian Golf Club's clubhouse is their 19th-hole restaurant and bar: Julianna's Restaurant. Upon entry, you realize the place has been around for some time. It feels very classic San Antonio, with wooden walls accented by tan and white bricks. The restaurant's aged interior gives it a cozy, lodge-like charm. Though the restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday night, we were seated instantly at a booth that gave me a perfect view of the Georgia-Alabama game on the bar's TV. After nine or eighteen holes, you never know what you're in the mood for. That's why Julianna's has plenty of options: sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, seafood, steaks, and other meat dishes. Our server came by very quickly and got us our drinks, which for me was a tall Saint Arnold Oktoberfest. I had a tough time deciding between two options: a bone-in pork chop or their creamy Cajun pasta. I opted for the bone-in pork chop with a Caesar salad, bacon green beans, and herb rice. My dad got the creamy Cajun pasta, and my mom got the Southwest chicken. It wasn't long until the Caesar salad came out, with huge croutons and a generous helping of dressing. It was excellent to the point my mom wished she had ordered it over her chicken tortilla soup, which she also enjoyed. If you ever order a meat entrée and they stick a steak knife in it, you're in for an ESPN Instant Classic. The pork chop was huge, topped with a house raspberry chipotle sauce. It was tender and cooked well. I'll admit, trying to find the bone versus the pork was a challenge, but I think that was a me issue. I would order it again. As for the sides, the bacon green beans were sneakily running for Sixth Man of the Year, and the herb rice paired with the pork chop quite well. I would go back. The meal was high quality and felt like a hidden gem even for longtime Castroville residents. What a treat. RIYL: Going to golf courses while being very bad at golf.

I was pleasantly surprised because in the pictures on Yelp I thought there were only picnic tables. But thats not the case, there are plenty of high top tables in there too. I didn't order anything from the kitchen but the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I will definitely be back, this place deserves some further investigation.

Soooooooo on the drive to Eagle Pass, on HWY 90, right past Castroville, there's LT Mesquite Brewhouse. Apparently it's been there dince 2018 and my stupid ass has seen lthe building but never noticed the business. Anywayssssz-uhhh. Its a microbrewery and kitchen and cranks out great beers, food and desserts. Had their football Sunday special: smoked buffalo wings. Gotta be honest, these wings are magnificent by themselves. Their hiuse made buffalo sauce elevates them but simply the smokeyness is outstanding. They're tender, juicy and smoky. All their beers are solid. Flights are a nice wsy to sample their beers. And honestly, the beerd they're crafting out here are better than some of the ones at larger craft beer places. We had the white chocolate cranberry cookie and it was phenomenal. We paired it with the dunkel and stout and Jesus F. Christ! Mind blowing. You should know that they use some of their beer grains in their cookies and this cookie was just delicate, sweet, crunchy but not too decadent. So yeah, I've been missing out these years, after traveling between SA and Eagle Pass. DON'T BE LIKE ME. Shout out to Sean, out server! Fantastic dude with great recommendations.

There was a sign to seat yourselves. OK. We sat down and the bartender brought us menus. Us and a group of three were the only customers. Brought us waters. While looking at the menu, a server comes over and asks if we wanted appetizers or go straight to order. Straight to order, please. The husband ordered the brisket pot roast. It came with asparagus and what he thinks was puréed squash. I had the pecan chicken. Panko breaded with pecans and a bourbon sauce. Maple and bourbon were the flavor elements. Came with baked Mac and cheese and sliced slightly charred carrots. This was really good, as was the husbands plate. Warm Sourdough bread and butter is served with the meal. We split a Caesar salad. The salad was OK, the dressing was a little tart and served on the side. I'm taking a slice of chocolate cake to go. As I peek into the bag, it is a generous slice with strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. Stay tuned. The restaurant is part of the Hillside Resort. Looks like a bunch of rooms. When we were about to leave a group of women came in and sat at the bar. I told the bartender we'd heard about them through Texas Eats. He said 'are they still showing that? That was about six chefs ago!' All righty then. I'd say it's worth a trip to try.

Ordered the Berry Patch cocktail- nice and refreshing with a splash of mint leaves. Menu wasn't overwhelming and had a nice assortment of dishes. Starters ordered - pork belly bites and fried Brussels sprouts. Both highly recommend! Dishes ordered- salmon, pork chop, pot roast, and steak. Pork chop and steak were not dry, but juicy with lots of flavor. I loved pot roast growing up , so I had to order it here. Although tasty, texture was a little chewy and tough. Also would have enjoyed a little more helping of vegetable/potato purée underneath the roast. The salmon dish looked fabulous, but was slightly salty. The sweet bun that accompanied each dish were delicious! Service was good. I'd come back to try the pork chop next time around.

The shop is made from an old gas station that was converted into a cafe. They serve pastries along with a wide range of coffee beverages. I always find myself drawn to their seasonal drinks, which are usually themed around something fun. This year's holiday menu was Ice Age themed, but I remember last year being Shrek themed, and I think there was even a Top Gun themed menu at some point over the summer. For the Ice Age menu, I got a Manny which was a Chocolate Orange Mocha drink. I got it hot and it was great! The space inside is quiet, nice, and well lit. It's a great place to get work done. In the past, I've noticed the wifi could be tragically slow, which made some tasks difficult. During my most recent visit, though, I don't recall the wifi being slow at all, so it seems like that issue has been fixed. There is also plenty of outdoor seating if you get lucky with one of the three nice weather days in San Antonio. I really like the coffee here. For such a small shop, they do a great job, and it has become an essential stop for me every time I am in Castroville. RIYL: Coffee shops that are old gas stations but do not have a functional gas pumps anymore, so you don't accidentally get gasoline instead of a latte. I hate when that happens!!
