poor service. Wish my kids didn't love the pizza so much, otherwise I would not be going back

Terrible terrible terrible. I don't know if it's all Pizza Huts or just this one. First off, the kids who work here are all nice. But... Somehow when I order online and go for pick up, the pizza is warm and ready, but dry. I like pizza, but this is so disappointing. Nothing like the amazing crunchy deliciousness I remember. One time, they upgraded me by accident - there is some kind of seasoning on the crust that was oily and gross. It was like an imitation flavor of an imitation flavor. And it might just be me, but I don't want any sweetness in the crust or tomato sauce. No sugar. Just salty savory pizza flavors. The last pizza we got was so sweet, like it was trying too hard to convince me to like it. The pizza tasted like miserable desperation. It was bad. We have limited options out here in la vernia, but the food is gross enough that I'd rather go to the HEB and make a sandwich. read more

Once again I had to leave because I could not get service. This is he third time I've been here. The second time I've had to leave before being served. And the last. I have also ordered take out and had it take over 2 hours. This place is terrible. Today I was greeted with the hostess telling me ya have a seat but just so you know it's gonna take me a while to get to you. Like she was trying to deter us. This place is a joke and needs to be looked into. There were seven tables tonight and not even busy. Hope you read this before you order, I didn't and regretted it. Worst service you will find in our town....they have got my order wrong, charged me wrong and then took over 1.5 hours to get me a delivery order, these are 3 separate occasions. I won't make this mistake again. The worst part of all of this is that nobody there including management cares, I need to figure out who the owner is and complain there, it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't care either. read more

We've given this place 3 chances and every time we order, there is over a 2 hour wait and the pizza is always cold. I can never get a hold of the manager as well. The last time we ordered we called them every 10 minutes and we would always get transfered. They would promise us it would only take an hour each time. So finally after a 3 hour wait I see the pizza driver go around the cul de sac and didn't even ring our door bell and took off! Worst customer service ever!! I will never ever do business with pizza Hut again. On top of that they charged our card twice! This business should be shut down if they can not guarantee a time or hot meal. read more

Great pizza. This location is super busy though so even if you order carryout through the app it can take quite a while longer than it should. Have waited 45 minutes to an hour for pizza before. However it does come out great. Food is amazing from here. read more

The absolute best pizza gut ever! The staff is amazing and treat you like family. The pizza is outstanding and service us fast to get your fresh baked pizza or dish out to you. Decor is awesome with large screen tvs everywhere. The order out is always on time I wish all pizza guts treated there customers like this and line I said the food is amazing! read more

I normally love Pizza Hut but this location is HORRIBLE!!! Several months ago, our delivery order took over 2 hours to be delivered, which was an hour over the delivery time on the confirmation. When I called to talk to the manager, the manager acted like there was nothing that he could do to compensate me for the inconvenience except offer free breadsticks on my next order. I insisted that was not acceptable and demanded that my order be comped. When we received the order, everything was cold which tells you the order was ready long before it was delivered. Even after our last experience, I decided to give them another chance because everyone has a bad day. Tonight, I placed another delivery order and the confirmation told me the delivery time would be 1.5 hours. I tried calling to see if it would be faster for pickup and was transferred to the manager, which they never picked up the phone. I eventually went to the store and just cancelled my order and went next door to the Subway. The owner of this Pizza Hut needs to get their store in order or they are headed for failure due to poor customer service. read more

Ordered a personal pan pizza, small order of wings and two teas. Got our tea about 40 minutes later. Told them we needed to change our food to a to-go order as lunch was almost up. 15 minutes later it still was not ready so had to cancel the order. Paid for the tea and another employee came around the corner and asked what we were doing. Told her we had no more time and she gave an attitude about it. The place was not crowded, so no idea why it couldn't be ready in an hour. If you only have an hour lunch, it's probably not the place for you. read more

Absolute trash. They have awful management. People rarely get their food in a timely manner and it is usually messed up. The dining area was gross so who knows what else isn't cleaned. I do NOT recommend Pizza Hut in La Vernia! read more

Piss poor management and absolute horrible service! Walked in yesterday and placed an order. Asked the cashier If it was possible to get a personal pan pizza, thin crust and she said yes. I asked her again are you sure she said yes. I asked to please verify that was possible and she said she verified it so three different times I asked and she answered "yes" for me to get 2 personal pan with thin crust. When I received my order I open the box to check it and they were thick crust. I asked the cashier what had happened and she says I have placed him under thin on your order and don't know what to tell you. I asked her to send it back and please get my order correct as I had ordered it. The cashier says we can't do that and I said well if I have to take it this way not being what I ordered and you agreed to I should get a discount. Cashier says we can't do that I asked for management. Manager walked up and said that's the way they come. And I explain to her how the cashier had stated I could order it that way three different times and she could care less! At that time I asked to have a discount then due to their mistake and the asshole refused turn their back on me and walked away!!! Go somewhere else do not patronize this place for lack of customer service and the rudeness!!! read more

I'm not a huge pizza hut fan in general but after my last 2 experiences I will not be going back. Tonight I ordered their special of 1 large 3 topping pizza and a cookie for 15.99. I was told I had to have 3 toppings to qualify. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms on half and olives on the side. My total was nearly 23 dollars. I said I don't understand how my taxes are so much and was told I had 4 toppings. Cheese (how is this a topping?!), pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives. I removed my olive topping and it dropped to 20.55. Still high in my head but I'm not really good at math. When my pizza was ready I received half pepperoni half mushroom, not what I ordered. The manager corrected it and gave me a 10 dollar credit for a future order because they weren't busy to have made a mistake like that. He handed me my receipt and the credit. I look at my receipt and see they charged me 18.98 for my food instead of the 15.99 special. I asked for a refund for the difference. I was told I can't have one because they gave me a credit for the inconvenience and they would not refund the overcharge. I told them to just cancel my order and refund in full. I will go to Capparelli's, HEB, or drive to Floresville for pizza from now on. read more

2 hours for a pizza??? It's literally bread sauce and pepperoni. What you mean you only have 1 oven. Then call every customer back and let them know what the situation is. Don't let us wait at your counter for an extra 1 hour and you have the nerve to still charge full price. Too bad you are the ONLY chain pizza joint in the area. I read all the bad reviews and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and they ARE horrible!!! Don't waste your time go another business who appreciates their customers!! Came once, waited an extra hour for an online order once arrived. Gave them a SECOND chance, same bull!! My order was wrong when I arrived was told to wait to redo, 8 mins tops. Took longer, wasn't offered an apology or free drink nothing. Worst Pizza Hut I've ever been to in my life!!! Will never go back, next time I read so many bad reviews I'll take them into consideration. read more

Ordered here again for delivery. I know to call early so I wasn't surprised when the website stated that it would take 1 hour 45 minutes to be delivered. So, 1 hour 45 minutes comes and no delivery. I called the help number and let them know and they said the manger would call me back. I informed the lady on the phone that they tell me that every time and the manager has NEVER called me back. An hour after that I called the help number again because my food still isn't here. While on the line with her, the delivery guy shows up - this is 2 hours 45 minutes after I ordered. The guy tells me they ran out of both medium and large pizza boxes so our pizzas were thrown into Big Dinner Boxes. I say "thrown in" because there was so much space in those boxes that the pizzas were sliding around loose. One of the pizzas had a crust that was black. Another pizza was a thin crust instead of hand-tossed like I ordered. It's crust was like rubber - you could hardly chew it. Everything we ordered was room-temperature. It was bad. Do NOT order from here. The manager doesn't care about the orders and doesn't care about you. read more

We had to get our own menus after waiting for 10 minutes. Had to ask for our salad and plastic ware then had to get up and go get plastic ware. Asked for a to go box twice. Each time serve claim they were busy. I think we only about 3 tables totaling 15'customers. Pizza was good. read more

The pizza, chicken wings and salad were great. We only waited about 10 min for our order. The staff is very friendly. Restaurant is pleasant and clean. There's no salad bar but they do have pre-made salads that are a decent size (enough for two). We will be back! read more

Really Pizza Hut! This is my first restaurant review ever!!! I ordered from this location before and paid for extra sauces which I didn't get, but whatever, mistakes happen. I ordered a pizza and traditional breadsticks with marinara sauce tonight, the order was repeated back to me. Husband goes to pick it up and gets cinnamon breadsticks with ranch sauce, REALLY!!! I don't even know how you could possibly mess that up! And who eats ranch with cinnamon! Please, please, please train your staff on orders! WHEN YOU CALL, IT SAYS ALL CALLS ARE RECORED. If that is the case, when you have a customer come in and claim its the wrong order, instead of saying that's what you ordered, as a MANAGER, LISTEN to the call, care about your job, and retrain your staff!!!!! read more

I've been going here for 2 years. Last night changed that. I had a very busy evening and was rushing around everywhere. I decided to call in a pick-up order because I didn't have time to cook. I was given a pick up time of 6:35. I got there at 6:30 expecting to have to wait. I paid and waited. 10 minutes later the poor girl at the front told me that they had forgotten to put my pasta in the oven, so it would be 5 more minutes. 10 minutes later, she came to me to tell me that they were looking for my bread and that the manager would be out to talk to me in a minute. Couple minutes later, the manager came out and said he was sorry for the delay, but they couldn't find my bread. I told him that didn't sound good and I wasnt sure I wanted it if it had been lost. He explained that the frozen bread was was under something in the freezer and they couldn't find it. The bread should have gone in the oven when the pasta went in. Why was this not done earlier? That's all he had to say to me. No offer of any compensation to make it right. For someone that specialized in customer service, this is not acceptable. The young lady at the front was working her butt off and had already told me that they were looking for my bread. His responsibility as the manager was to see how extremely irritated I was, as everyone else did, and try to make it right. I finally got out of there 25 minutes after my pick-up time. To top it all off, it started pouring rain about 2 minutes before they gave me my order. I got soaked going to my car when I should have already been home before the rain started. And when I got home my pasta was barely warm and my toast wasn't toasted. It was bread warmed enough to melt butter to make it soggy. I had to put it in the toaster oven for a few minutes. My husbands chicken wings had gotten soggy from the sauce sitting for 45 minutes. My biggest complaint is that the manager was not a manager. He told me the same thing that he had already told the young lady to tell me. I heard two young ladies tell a couple other people "they forgot", referring to the kitchen and their orders. I have worked in customer service for 10 years. As a manager, this is not how you handle a situation. Everyone could tell that I was extremely irritated and my 8 year old was hungry and could have eaten his pizza that they had sitting in the warmer for 25 minutes while we waited. I have regularly visited this location for 2 years, but unless there are some improvements in the management, I will not be back. This screwed up my whole evening. I felt bad for the ladies working in the front having to deal with the disorganization of the kitchen and failures of the manager to run the facility efficiently. read more
