I used to work at Pizza Hut long ago back in the '90s. Back in those days we had to hand make all the dough for the thin crust pizzas and we tossed the dough in the air the old fashioned way. Unfortunately I have discovered that now all the pizza get shipped in a pre-made form for the crust and everything is pretty well just plug and play. So the toppings just get dumped on top of a pre-made crust once it is unwrapped from the plastic and then they just throw it in the oven. I just don't find this process to yield the same quality of the crust as it was back in the old days when we did all those old school traditional touches. I was excited to see the tavern pizza which Pizza Hut has been advertising that they were advertising and Indecoded to order one. After I sampled the pizza it had a little bit of a ring of the old school Pizza Hut but that crust just really filled to deliver and lacked a lot of that crispy crunchy goodness that we used to be able to produce with that old hand toss method. So I guess if you're in a spot without many other options and you really need some pizza it's okay but there's just so many better pizza places in most spots around the country these days. After my taste test and discovery of the pre-made crust I'm not going to have Pizza Hut at the top of my list anymore as I can jist go to a grocery store and get a frozen crust pizza. One area that many people are happy about is some Pizza Hut locations like this one still have their lunch buffets which I didn't know they had brought that back so that's also a nice option if you're really hungry and just want more to eat overall. I'm sad to see yet another restaurant lose sight of quality over making everything faster and more convenient just for whatever reasons they think they need for the bottom line. Ultimately I think quality shoukd win out every time over whatever this fast and furious profit motive is they've got with remaking things like they do now which don't live up to their past quality. The choice of lowering quality for short term profits has really hurt and destroyed many other brands that used to be notable. read more

Don't bother with this place. I paid for extra sauce and cheese, neither of which I received. I ordered a super supreme and got very few ingredients on it. Called the store, had to wait 16+ minutes, only for the manager to throw her "new employee" under the bus and say it was not the fault of the establishment. There was only one person in the store at the time of pick up and when I said they had plenty of time to oversee what this new employee was doing, the manager was suddenly rude and indignant. read more

Pizza Hut is literally ALWAYS my favorite pizza and even when they get it wrong, the NORMALLY make it right, but not today... So I ordered their deep dish Chicago style pizza. The description said "Layers of your favorite toppings. Sauce on top" Let me tell you, NO LAYERS. Just meat around the edges and a whole bunch of sauce. Then I called and the manager,Jerome, didn't even have the decency to speak to me on the phone. He just said "that's the way it comes" Mind you, this pizza didn't even come with the bacon that was ordered. I am sorely disappointed in not just my food, but the overall lack of customer service. Friday order by phone, pick up time set for 6:15 for two large, 3 topping pizza's. They just do not take elementary steps to keep their car line moving. Example, car up in front of us was allowed to sit at the window for over 15 minutes. If their order isn't ready, simply ask them to move, and that you will bring their food to them. Don't allow them sit while everyone who has their food sitting and ready for immediate pick up not be allowed to reach the pick up window. And I though Chuck E Cheese had disgusting pizza! For one, I ordered a thin crust bacon and pineapple pizza. Seen no bacon, and had so little of pineapple that all I tasted was the sauce. Sitting in the dining room (in very poor repair), being very displeased with the cashier and greeter (or lack thereof) waiting on my food. I'm wondering what I did to piss this girl off. Attitude from the word go! She messed up my order because she didn't listen to me. When she repeated it, I told her that's not what I ordered and she got an attitude again. Called the manager over to void it and start over, (manager was nice enough but didn't really even acknowledge my presence). Cashier(no name tag) gave me my change without saying anything at all. I've always loved Pizza Hut . & the employees are usually all very friendly and helpful . But today I called in to order just ONE personal pan pizza (the smallest pizza) with a chicken Alfredo and the dude (didn't get his name) told me it was gonna be a 2 hour wait . The Owner of this establishment needs to do a few things: remodel this outdated building, hire more people, make available a self serve drink station so the staff isn't wasting their valuable time running drinks to tables, And the phone constantly rings loudly without anyone picking it up. This Pizza Hut is nothing to write home about, but the food is good. I've eaten here once in the evening and once during lunchtime. I was impressed by the way they kept the pizza coming during lunch. Called in an order to Pizza Hut ordering two medium meat lovers pizzas and a large cheese only pizza with sauce on the side instead of on the pizza. The lady who took my said it would be 30 tom 40 minutes. No problem. My wife then told me they had been charging extra for pizza (marinara) sauce on the side so I went to pick up my pizzas early so i could take this up with the manager because every Pizza Hut I have visited the sauce was not extra when the pizza was without sauce. I spoke to the manager and ask why they charged for pizza (marinara) sauce that was not put on the pizza and also charged extra for it on the side. He informed me that was they only way they could put it into the computer. I said why not just enter in the cheese pizza and just give me the sauce in a cup on the side. No, no that could not be done. It could not be entered that way. So in the end they charged me $.60 for the sauce. I still do not understand his reasoning but I paid for the sauce along with the pizzas. I guess I waited another 40 - 45 minutes before my order was done. Did I ruffle feathers and they took longer just to show me? Finally my pizzas were ready and I took them and was prepared to leave when the managed said to me he was sorry but that was the only way it could be done. I then informed the manager that while I was standing there I witnessed employees giving one cup of marinara sauce to one person and two cups to sauce to another. He then changed and told me that if I would call a number I could receive $5.00 off my next order. I declined and informed him he had lost a customer. First of all, I was starving when David and I went in here last Thursday on our way down to Bay St. Louis. And, when I am starving, I am EASY to please. I'll eat just about anything and be satisfied... ramen noodles for crying out loud. David was ordering the pizza his way and breadsticks his way so I got the salad bar as a meal planning on getting some of his pizza and breadsticks. Um, the salad bar was sad. Here are your options: Mixed lettuces with carrots and purple cabbage mixed in, green olives, cheese, purple onions, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, bacon bits, mushrooms and vinegar.... No eggs, no diced ham. Yes, to the previous review on the phone ringing constantly and the workers were so busy they weren't answering. David and I ate inside, but the drive thru was constant (this was 7:00 in the evening). I do say this is why I give this place a 2 instead of a 1 is because the employees ARE constantly busy doing something and working as a team back there... I watched. There are no workers doing the lean and look here. My hats off to people who do this kind of work, I have been there when I worked at Morrison's Cafeteria in Gadsden, McDonald's in Jacksonville, Subway in Greensboro and these people EARN their money. The pizza crust (we got the deep dish pan) was a little burnt on the top and not quite done on the bottom, maybe something wrong with what rack they put the pizza on???
