I have being hearing from locals about this place and their salad bar. When you go in you can go directly to the salad bar line. Very clean! You have two kinds of greens, three proteins, and lots of toppings to choose from. When you go to pay you weigh it. It is very reasonable priced. While tasty, a 4 1/2 inch hoagie for $8 and change is hardly a value meal. Pleasant staff and a large menu, so one might find better deals.

Stopped by for lunch for the salad bar. We also ordered cheese bread. While the salad bar was sufficient their dressing choices are not. The bottles are not labeled and when we ask the staff what they were they were not pleasant with their response. The cheese bread came out and was not appealing by sight and the taste was sweet not cheesy. The marinara sauce tasted like ketchup and was not warm. I've ordered the bread before and it was nothing like this and was hot and tasty so I'll chalk it up to an off day for the cook. Salad bar is the only one in town and grateful to have it. I wish they would add more items and salads like tuna, potato and pasta to the bar. read more

I've eaten at this Pasquale's quite a few times but this was my first visit under the current new ownership. There used to be a lot more Pasquale's around but this is one of the few left that I know about. They used to have a great pasta and pizza buffet here but they have decided to end the buffet forever. The pizza is still good here while I was a bit disappointed in my stromboli as I liked the version with red sauce and cheese but they only offered the version with gravy. Their spaghetti and meatballs is still really good and I would say the pasta or pizza are probably the best things being served these days. Overall this place hasn't changed much at all other than not having video games inside anymore so there is a lot of nostalgia in here and it is an enjoyable spot for pizza or pasta. Tried it again... this time I requested extra pepperoni and advised the young boy taking my order that I was happy to pay for it regardless of the cost! When the pie arrived I asked him to confirm that this pizza had extra pepperoni and he assured me that it did! Skimpy portions... pass on this place! read more

Typically I would give them 4-5 starts, but not after my most recent visit. Ordered a medium pepperoni pizza with green pepper, salad bar, two drinks. Salad bar freshness and variety gets 5 stars! Nice job on the salad bar. The pizza, however, totally sucked that evening. Each slice literally had one full pepperoni and one half slice of pepperoni. Pizza Hut, Papa Doughs and even Little C's offers a lot more pepperoni on their pizzas! The green peppers were diced so incredibly small and the amount sprinkled on top was irrelevant as you could not taste or detect any green pepper flavor. They piled way way too much cheese on our pizza so it did not cook and the dough/crust was raw, unbaked, not pleasant. The cheese was so thick that it had not even cooked all the way either, only slight browning of the cheese. We visit this restaurant 1-2x per month, but given the skimpy portion of pepperoni and green pepper, only going to give it one more try and if the portions are still the same then we will have to take out business to another restaurant. Message to the managers or owners of this restaurant: Visit Papa Dough's and order a pepperoni pizza. It will come covered in pepperoni edge to edge for similar price and size. How is it they can afford to load your pizza up, as a pepperoni should be covered in pepperoni but your pizza place can only afford one tiny piece plus one half of one piece per slice? 12 pepperonis on a pepperoni pizza? Seriously? Go out to your competition and order their pepperoni pizzas and compare to your skimpy topped version and you will understand this complaint. Because the pizza only had a total of 12 slices of pepperoni on the entire pizza, one could barely even taste the pepperoni. Weigh your cheese portions!!!!!! A medium should be topped with X amount of oz, and a large with Y amount... portion control. Sorry folks.... topping portions make this a no go value option, you would be more satisfied at Pizza Hut if you care about tasting your pizza. You get one more chance.... please increase the amount of toppings.... please portion out your cheese as not to result in a raw undercooked pizza, and switch out your teeny tiny green pepper bits for slices of green pepper.... read more

Pasquale's has been here forever. I though the restaurant went back to the 1960's but an elderly lady that I know said she believes it was there back in the early 1940's when she first attended. Without a doubt, it has to be Laurel's oldest indoor sit down restaurant. I ate there for lunch last week. I probably average eating here once every 10 years however I don't live in Laurel anymore. The interior hasn't changed since when I was a kid. It's dark inside and the wrought iron furniture has probably been there since day one. This Italian restaurant offers a menu of pasta, hot sandwiches, pizza, etc. it also has a buffet lunch available on the weekdays. On my most recent visit I ordered a hot sandwich called a Stromboli. It consists of hamburger patties with onions on a buttered bun. I have had it before and remember liking it. I got the 12" size as they also offer a 7". The sandwich came out in less than 10 minutes. It was decent as I remembered. I believe that this restaurant deserves a 3 rating but it is a-ok. Nothing very good here but everything is acceptable. It has to be at least that good since it's been around for so long. I think next time, I will try a pizza and it should be less than 10 years from now! Counter service only. read more

Have only eaten here once. The quality of the food is really just "so so". It can get busy. Prices are about normal. I would recommend the place as the place seems clean and the staff are ok. The management does need to limit the use of cellular devices by the staff so the staff can help the customers more. read more

I was told, when charged almost twice for my pizza as posted on the website, that the business changed owners and they didn't have access to the website to update it. Visited recently out of nostalgia, I used to come here when I was in college. Many years ago and things have really changed. First. I was charged 75 cents for plain ol' tap water (the cost was not mentioned and it was not tasty ) and 35 cents for not paying w/cash, Ordered a 6 inch pizza for $8. Ingredients were piled on top so they all fell off when I picked it up and the ham on top was crispy and burned around the edges. We ate here today. While the food was good, the service and atmosphere left a great deal to be desired. There were 3 women at the front who took our order. Their reception was lackluster, dismissive, obligatory at best, and resulted in us feeling unwelcome. They were on their phones or more interested in each other than the small amount of customers who were there today. Courtesy and a smile go a long way. Apparently, several people enjoy Pasquale's, so I'm sure this won't be received well. But know this; customers prefer to be treated in a manner that makes them feel glad they are there. Walmart sells better tasting frozen meals. For the price I expect good food this wasn't it! My calzone was tasteless because it was all bread and then they charged me for ranch dressing to help swallow this food. The pasta was bad tasting, dry, and looked like a frozen meal from the 70's. I was beginning to think the only decent pizza to be found in Laurel would be in the freezer case at the grocery store. Red Baron is a lot better than the chain crap around here with the possible exception of Little Caesar's. We decided to give Pasquales a chance after reading some good reviews. I called an order in for pickup and was pleasantly surprised to hear the total for two large pizzas (One a supreme) was only $35. The gentleman taking my order was really nice and helpful and not rushed or impatient. I started doubting my decision as that's almost half the price I'm used to paying. I can only say that once we got home I couldn't believe the size. And they were great. The sauce is fantastic and they put just the right amount of toppings on it. The crust is on the thin side but that's how we like it. I'm very satisfied and won't waste my money anywhere else in this town. read more

My wife and went last night at supper hour, 2 costumers were at the other table easting salad. We ordered a 3, topping pizza and 1, lasagna and each a small salad and 2, soadas. $53.00... we had not eaten there since 2007 just befor my aunt died. We did not like it then. 16, years later and we try it, wondering how it was. The Pizza was crap, the lasagna wasn't real and missing ingredients. The salad was ok from the sald bar but, they weighed and doubled weighed with the salad dressing. One would think the salad dressing was on the house. I asked the cashier was she going to charge me for the straws in our drinks. She seemed to be offended and we were at that time saying we will never eat here again... The owner is a really nice man! He had us all join in a birthday song for a loyal customer! She was celebrating her 98th year. Wow! What a place! We ordered pizza ,with extra ingredients. There is also a salad bar with fresh veggies. All the ingredients are fresh hand cut and not frozen in a bag. The sauce is also freshly made. What a difference compare to the big franchises. Been eating here since the 1970's.. had a 10 inch thin crust Supreme pizza that was delicious.. plenty of fresh toppings to make it supremely good!! Great service and atmosphere! Ordered a calzone and got a glorified hot pocket. No ricotta cheese and there was a watery sauce inside. Crust was not soft and flaky... More like hard and tough. Very little pepperoni, way too many onions. Worst calzone I've ever had. Dessert was just ok. Choose somewhere else to go eat. read more

I remember Pasquale's from when I was a kid. This place is amazing!!! Service is out of this world! The hot roast beef with gravy and coleslaw is my favorite!! They were out of coleslaw so the lady sent someone out to pick some up and they made me their coleslaw for my sandwich!!!! That's customer service and going above and beyond!!!!! This was not the food I remembered eating just a few years ago. The atmosphere was heavy with what I can only call despair, and the air conditioning didn't seem to be working at all. I was excited to come here again because I loved the calzones. My pizza was on what seemed like a piece of pita bread. It was soft and did not taste like pizza. More or less a gyro with pizza fixings on top. The cheese was good. My mom ordered rigatoni and it was actually penne pasta with what seemed like pre-fab canned meat sauce on it. Very much like chef boyardee.... food cost must be terrible if they are not using fresh ingredients. I was disappointed. Clearly the lacking food quality doesn't deter customers though. read more

Order anything from the menu at this long time Laurel restaurant and you will not be disappointed. The garlic bread loaf is amazing. The ham Calzone is also very good with the ranch dressing in it. The pizzas are really good with a thinner crust that is unique to Pasquales. Try the ham with ranch sauce pizza. It is amazing. There are many sandwiches on the menu. The open faced roast beef is amazing. Get plenty of napkins. The buffet can be a bit underwhelming at times, but the salad bar is really good. The buffet is normally lacking in pizza. Great place to eat. It's been around for as long as I can remember! Even my parents use to go out on dates there! The prices are very cheap. Locally-owned and operated, it is a Laurel hallmark. Skip the buffet and order a made-to-order calzone that's bursting inside with warm pepperoni or other ingredients you choose. Brushed with garlic butter, my husband and kids won't order anything else. Their pizza crust is my personal favorite: salty, almost like French sour dough--the perfect balance of thin to thick--and not commercial. The booths will take you back to a time when eating at your local pizza parlor was a family's night on the town. Our kids love that they can drink all they want from the self-serve soda machine. I hadn't been here in years till me and my friend decided to go there for lunch one day. I was so excited because I use to love to go here and eat the buffet. Well, the buffet was ok but not as good as I remembered...but I did find a couple of things that I liked and thought were seasoned very well. My biggest complaint is the pizza. I LOVE their pizza but it was 12 o'clock lunch rush and they were putting out one pizza at a time...and the pizzas just looked really small to me. By the time 2 ppl went up the bar, the pizza was gone! I only get an hour for lunch so I was not able to get any more pizza other than the 1 piece I got when I first fixed my plate. I was so disappointed. They need to have AT LEAST 2 pizzas (or more) on the bar...not just one....especially when it's the noon rush. I may go back but not any time soon. read more
