Loved this place. We're staying in the hotel right next door so it was super convenient. The pizzas were amazing. I had the Greek one with a cauliflower crust / so good! We ordered Pizzas for our family 11 of us, we got 3 12" pizzas for $48.00, we had to call another delivery place to feed the family. Beware of these guys if you order large pizzas you get personal size, they don't tell you size on the website menu. read more

My wife and I have eaten at more restaurants than I can even start to remember. All over the South and east coast. Hands down the BEST wings either of us have ever eaten. I dont work at the Hyena, nor am I related to or know anyone that works there, in case any of you readers think we are plants. Words can not describe how good their food is. read more

Best wings and pizza ever. I have celiac and wanted to try the wings and Gluten Free Pizza and they were the best. We had a group of 10 and they all felt the same. We even ordered additional food to take home. I would highly recommend and we will be coming back soon. read more

My husband, mom, and I ate there tonight and it was absolutely fabulous! We started with the cheese garlic bread which is crusty and delicious, and unlike most garlic bread - the cheese is actually stuffed inside the bread, which was a wonderful surprise. We then ordered 3 pizzas for our table: Old MacDonald, Belly Laugh, and Margherita. All three were amazing. The crust is perfectly cooked, the sauce and cheese is a great ratio. The cherry tomatoes on the Margherita were so fresh they popped in your mouth with tomato goodness. The pork belly on the Belly Laugh was rendered to near perfection. Delicious personal pizza made in 10 mins right by the beach so we grabbed them on our way. The gouda and can't decide we're loaded with meats and flavor. There a bar that has an outdoor area that's dog friendly. read more

Terrible service and workers were racist. We waited for over an hour just to walk out. Our party was the first one in the restaurant and families that got there 30 minutes after us were getting their food and leaving before us. I went to this location almost a year ago, and I'm still thinking about my meals. My s/o and I stayed on Surfside Beach for 6 days, and we ate at Pizza Hyena at least 4 of those days. The meatballs, incredible. Pizza??? Are you kidding? Fantastic. Drinks were delicious, the staff was so great. I would plan another trip to SC just to get more food from this delicious place. Hanging with the family half mile away. Decided to try 4 pizzas between 5 of us, and share. We ordered the sour puss pizza ( omg it was my favorite), a real Brie slapper(most of the others favorite) Margherita hyena (always a favorite and an in case we didn't like the others), and the ricotta be kidding me pizza (we all determined it was strange, not sure what the portobellos are marinated in) It was great wood fired pizza, had just arrived in myrtle beach and it was a perfect dinner. Very grateful that you are open in winter and during covid. They do deliver but it was just a short walk for pick up. Would definitely order again. read more

Avoid this place ! We stayed at the hotel next door and decided to have some dinner our first night in town. The place had mostly empty tables throughout the entire restaurant so we were surprised the host told us there was a 45 minute wait. We put our name on the list and hoped for the best. An hour later we get a table inside and noticed the few people seated around us were waiting for food. After giving our server the food order and waiting another 30 minutes we asked them politely what the issue was. She pointed to a stack of about 30 pizza boxes and paper bags and said that they were backed up with to-go orders . After another 20 minutes went by we finally got our food. We did not realize we were eating at an overpriced dominoes take out that puts customers on a wait while continuing to let online orders be placed . After being restaurant owners ourselves for over 20 years , reading previous reviews stating the same experience and the responses by user "Paige" we realized this is how this restaurant operates. We will not be back !!! read more

Hyena pizza crust made with Italian flour, semolina, agave nectar, pink Himalayan sea salt and avocado oil and topped with the finest, quality ingredients. Over 20 variations of specialty pies that pizza lovers can pick from and enjoy. One also has appetizers, salads, Sammies and on site bar to meet all your libation pleasures. Our Garlic Cheese Bread was a herbed and garlic cheese bread sticks backed with a crusty outside and chewy on the inside. Rustic red sauce came on the side. Our pie was the UR Bacon my Balls with crispy applewood smoked bacon, their own Hyena Balls (kobe beef, lamb, veal), wild mushrooms and fresh mozzarella cheese. The thin crust was baked to perfection, slightly blackened on the edges, and topped with a good amount of quality meats and fresh ingredients. Sarah was commendable with her friendly service and brought our drinks and food promptly. Outdoor seating and an indoor/outdoor bar are available, along with tables and chairs inside. Immediate parking is nearly nonexistent, as the surrounding parking lot is clearly marked for the adjacent motel and their guests. Highly recommend for great service and great food. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We chose to sit at the bar, we had drinks within 2 minutes of sitting. We asked for menu recommendations and Wendy was honest with us about our starter. Our bruschetta came out fast and was delicious. When we were just about finished with the appetizer our pizza was delivered. We went with the "hot chick" and so happy we did! Wendy was personable and checked on us all night.
