I went here today for lunch! I was in the mood for pizza I had when I was in high school! I ordered a large thin crust half pepperoni,sausage,mushroom,jalapeño pepper and half sausage, green olives and black olives. The wait time is 8 mins. Wow they are fast! I hope they have not changed the recipe for the pizza looks wonderful! I got it to go! It will take at least 21 mins to get home! The pizza traveled well to my home. It was still warm. The taste was awesome; not too salty! The place smelled good and not of burnt crust! There are some push coin machines in the lobby which may or may not work. They reminded me that I have not gambled in a while! There are still tables for dine in customers and this location is independently owned which I really like! The pizza cost was 16 dollars and 23 cents . I gave a 3 dollar tip and they were on time with the 8 minute wait! I would recommend this location. Love you day job people! So I only order pizza from Pizza Inn because the whole family likes it the best. With that said we only order a couple of times per month because it's not exactly great for our diet. I placed a delivery order like I always do and asked them to please do not forget the garlic butter and asked that my pizza be crispy They had forgotten to do this a couple of times previously. We get our order and no garlic butter again and no crispy pizza. I am beyond irritated at this point so I call and speak to the manager and I was not nice. I was so frustrated that I hung the phone up on him. I called right back and apologized because I should not have done that. The gentleman was extremely understanding and professional and had a driver deliver it with a note from him apologizing for what had happened and that was over and above if you ask me. Went here with my family a couple months ago and the food was good and the service was ... okay ish. Nothing to brag or really complain about. Fast forward to today, we call up there to check on the time they close and the guy who answered the phone was incredibly rude. He answered the phone very rude and fast. Basically but our head off for even calling. He answered the phone and said very rudely " we are closed!" We clarified and he said once again " ya we are closed" and that was that. We will be living in Midlothian 4 years in November and my husband grew up on Pizza Inn but always thought it was just a vacant building (may want to do a fresh paint job), but he finally stopped in and this is the only pizza that we are ordering going forward!! For starters, we love Pizza Inn. Finding a location that actually has a buffet in our area is rare. This was one of the worst dining experiences ever. We arrived and ordered buffets for our party of four. The restaurant seemed to have a lot of carry out business going on, but only about three other tables had patrons for the buffet. At 6:00pm, when we arrived, the buffet had barely any pizza on it. We made salads to tide us over until the pizzas came out, but only to find the ranch dressing tasted like straight mayonnaise. It took at least 30 minutes for any pizza to be put in the buffet. Two pizzas between roughly thirteen patrons is nothing. We did manage after nearly an hour to get enough to eat to leave full. I'm not sure what the problem was. When I went to pay there was at least five people "working" behind the counter. The restaurant is severely ran down on the inside. Rips and tears in the seats of all the booths and in serious need of a paint job. Bathrooms looked rough as well. The only reason I'm leaving two stars is because the pizza was good, once it finally was put out and one employee was hustling around trying to do everything while the rest hung out in the back, including the man in a polo who looked to be the franchise owner. My wife and I love the fresh salad bar and hot pizza buffet. Staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. Easy to access and we have never had to wait for a table. The building/decor is a bit dated but then Pizza Inn has been around a long time so it is kind of historic. Don't let the building dissuade you because it is well worth a visit. read more

I went to the buffet during pandemic and they were very through and have you a new clean pizza spatula for every time you go to get your slices m. They require you to wear a mask and they asked what pizza I liked and they whipped it up moments later! I love Pizza Inn. It's the pizza of my childhood, so it holds a special place in my heart! I love how the crust is nice and crisp. I also like how the sausage is in smaller pieces than some other pizza places. That's just my preference! Went there for the buffet during the pandemic while Texas is being hit the hardest. The mindset of place is the reason Texas is leading the nation in new cases. Not one employee is wearing a mask. I asked why and was told because Ellis County doesn't require it. Yet Little Ceasers and Pizza Hut do require them of their customers and their employees. When I called back, the employee who took the order said he would deliver the right pizza at no charge because it was his fault. I usually like to go here on Sunday's and for the price the buffet is fair. Usually, the wait staff is very nice and social. The managerial people can be a little standoffish and not social. But I really just want some pizza so not a big deal. Today there was a really nice guy who served me my soft drink and actually had me a pizza made. Brought it to my table and asked me how many slices I would like. The salad choices are good and mostly fresh. The big guy at the check out wasn't friendly and I almost forgot to tip because I asked him something and he was more concerned about me signing the ticket and yelling at the help. Pizza inns are few and far between so I have settled for mediocrity at the duncanville location but no more. We have always loved Pizza Inn but they are getting hard to find. We were in Midlothian and stopped for supper. Absolutely fantastic! They have the best thin crust ever. I worked at Pizza Inn for three months, and I've experienced it all. The pizza itself is okay, it really depends on who makes it. The salad is probably the best thing that they have. The people that I worked with didn't care about their job and tried to pawn their part off on others. There wasn't a lot of caring about the customers as there was about the tips they received from said customers. The inside of the restaurant can be updated, although they just put a fresh coat of paint throughout the inside, put new TVs in the dining rooms, but the pven has been there since my parents and their parents worked there. The people who take the phone orders have bad attitudes and they hang up abruptly. The orders take forever as the oven is ancient and the cooks are too busy playing around. Being new to Midlothian, we started trying the local fare. Never had Pizza Inn before so we didn't know what to expect. We first tried the buffet (kids eat free on Wednesday nights). All the pizza was fresh and the variety was OK. We first were greeted, seated, and went at it. We have been there many times since and the experience has been wonderful each time. Friendly and helpful staff tend to your needs. We also do carry out now and have the same experience. The customer service from this location is top notch. The only reason for a 4 star review (and not 5) is the size of the buffet. It isn't very big and they can only fit 4 or 5 large pies. Fix that for more variety and I'll up it to 5. A word on specialty...you can't go wrong with the Buffalo Chicken or the Fireside Hickory! read more

Never been to Pizza Inn before but they were conveniently located across the street from the Hotel and I love pizza. I sad-fully missed the buffet by an hour , so I can't rate that but I was able to enjoy the salad bar. Their salad bar was very clean and tidy and easily accessible for a tall guy. I was greeted by extremely nice and very helpful staff, who took my order and sat me right away. My pizza was hot and fresh and was at my table right about the time I finished my first salad, which was awesome! Other than not being able to speak of the pizza buffet, overall this place gets a 5. I was at the hotel right next to them and tried to order a pizza. I ordered a small pizza price was right no problem there. Came to $6.74plus $2.50 for delivery charge no problem there everyone charges for delivery now. Total came to $9.24. They told me they had a $10.00 minimum. Ok so I tried to order a soda with it. They only have two litters. I'm by myself don't need a 2 ltr. So for a difference of .74 cents he would not deliver it right next door. I understand rules but come on. Manager must be happy with sales to lose a customer. And yes I'm to lazy to walk right next door to pick it up. read more
