I saw this place while visiting for Grandma's Marathon. I vaguely remember seeing recommendations for it on the race social page so figured I would give it a try for my carb loading :) Service: the city is busy on marathon weekend so I was pleasantly surprised that I was seated right away. It was in the mid afternoon so perhaps time was on my side. My server was very sweet and timely with refills etc. Ambiance: this is a good family place. Not fancy but good for a casual night out. There is a bar area separated by a door from the main restaurant. Food: the food was good. I had a pizza and my server recommended trying 2 different kinds (after some indecision on my part). I am super grateful that Pizza Lucé serves late night food! I was finishing up a job at a nearby hospital after hours and was dreading having to get McDonald's for dinner. The bar area is such a vibe! Red lighting fills the area, and it seems like there is a stage for shows when it gets busy. On Monday they have a deal on their taps, but their website is good at detailing what deals are happening in what days! Hugo (I think his name was Hugo) was attentive and great! My meatball parmigiana hoagie was pretty decent! I will say it was the end of the night so the bread was a little bit hard. But as I ate the sandwich, sauce soaked in the bread more which softened it up. The potato chips were good too. The meatballs themselves were really good. I also loved the amount of cheese on the sandwich! Their menu is soooo extensive though. I want to try so many things on here. My glass of Pinot Grigio was $12.50. I also Ordered a seltzer that was on draft that ended up being $5 because of their Monday deal. I would absolutely be a regular here if I lived in the area. read more

I came here during Grandmas marathon weekend. I wanted to sit at the bar but it was full. I opted to have dinner in the dining room. I ordered the wings and they were alright. My beer came out quickly and I was happy about that. The real let down was the carry out pizza. I specifically walked back late in the evening to get some and was disappointed with the cheese one. There wasn't any outstanding toppings on my pizza(even with the peperoni it seems). I couldn't finish it unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, this seems like a great location to hang out and eat regardless. Service was great, the waitresses checked on me often. Overall, could have been better. read more

Love to eat Eggs Benedict (4 different kinds!) with a Paloma, at the Bar. It's a completely different vibe than the restaurant. Valeria is entertaining and a fine mixologist. Great food, and nice conversation. I love the magnificent, huge, old neon sign over the bar. The food here, is always consistently excellent! Citrus for your beverage is fresh squeezed, right in front of you. Best Paloma in town! The Pizza is outstanding, too, but there is far more than Pizza here! read more

Every time I'm in Duluth, I go to this piece of spot. The pizza is wonderful patrons and the bartenders are cool as well and the drink prices are very reasonable. So if you're in Duluth area, and craving pizza, please visit, it's definitely one of my favorite pizza places. read more

My daughter and I drive up to Duluth for the holiday weekend and we were impressed! This wonderful establishment is on the corner. It gives the vibe of a family pizza joint with an attached bar for those that want to enjoy cocktails. We were seated right away. The staff was lovely, but it's Minnesota, so we expected it. I ordered a glass of their house Cabernet to start. The food was delicious! They have plenty of vegan options so I didn't have to create a meal from sides. We got the vegan cheese bread and vegan chicken pesto hoagie/sandwich. Our entire meal with tip was under $40 . Great pricing! Great service! Amazing pizza! Such variety, we ordered a baked potatoe pizza and it Rocked. We came to do grandmas marathon so we wanted to carb up. A friend got pasta and said it was great too. Unfortunately we had to stay away from alcohol before the race, but they had an amazing selection which made that even harder. But alas the marathon goals won out. We have been here for breakfast a few times and the food was always good. Bloody Mary bar is great! Service has been hit or miss with the last couple of times it seemed like we're forgotten about for periods of time with food timing and drink refills. I really can't write a normal review because I didn't buy a pizza. I wanted delivery and I had accumulated 3,000+ in rewards points. It turns out, you apparently can't use rewards points on a delivery order. This is a really bad policy and I decided to order from the cheap guys. The food options are quite large and have a big selection, they also have a lot of beer options here was well and it's in a neat spot downtown Duluth. The customer service was okay. The food was excellent!!! After driving all day and staying in a hotel the last thing we wanted was to go find dinner. The front desk at the hotel recommended this restaurant because they delivered and this was excellent. Fast and the drive was so nice. They called when they got here and we went down to get it. I was hankering for gluten-free pizza and this place came highly recommended. I was impressed at the number of g-free choices, and have many things to try in the future! Our server was happy to field questions and give us extra time to review the menu; it's hard to choose! We left Impressed with our selections and with LOTS of leftovers. The g-free items were pleasant surprises; evidently, a local bakery provides the crust and rolls. They were delicious and not anything like the frozen, crumbly junk that most other places serve. We stopped in because we read a lot of great reviews online and thought we would give it a try. First impression of the place was good it had a very laid back atmosphere. We were seated promptly and our drink order was taken. Our table ordered a pepperoni, the bear, cheese pizza and the baked potato pizza so we had a nice variety to try. The wait for the pizza was longer than one would expect given how busy they were. The pizza was mediocre at best and really a let down after reading the reviews. We came in thinking it would be really good pizza and honestly I've had better from dominos. The price and the quality of the pizza definitely do not match. read more

The food is good with a variety of options beyond pizza. Their hours are great-especially if you want to grab something after a show at the NorShor theatre or other nearby show. I have also regularly ordered lunch online, and it is ready to go when I get there. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that at least one of their social media posts was intended to convey a political statement but ended up being disrespectful to or alienating people with a different viewpoint. Came to Duluth to see my son who lives here. We ate at several places all weekend and food was good but service was nothing but secondhand at several locations. We came here and not only the food was great but the service was outstanding. My son's girlfriend (who grew up here) said this was the best service she had ever experienced in Duluth. Usually love Pizza Luce, but this time the pepperoni was burnt, the cheese was super dark. Ordered the Beyond Luce not thinking it was the beyond meat brand. Went to pizza Luce before Bentleyville and can honestly say I was surprised. I had few beers and my girlfriend had a "superb" glass of wine. I had an order of Buffalo wings that were sauced nicely. We ordered the biggest margarita pizza with chicken they had and it was a solid 8.6/10. In the pizza review world people know that that is a very high score. We had a lot of leftovers but the pizza tasted great the next day too. The biggest surprise however, was how delicious Pizza Lucé's blue cheese was !! Some of the best pizza I've had in a while. The bacon cheeseburger specialty pizza was AMAZING and something my husband is still talking about. The pickles and sauce on top really made the pizza. I especially appreciated the wide variety of toppings available for the build your own pizzas - I LOVE green olives on pizza but you can't find them everywhere!
