Been patronizing Pizza Pedalr in Winter Park CO for years. Prior to last year, this was the BEST pizza-by-the-slice to be had anywhere. Totally deserved the "best pizza in Colorado" year-over-year rating. Orders cooked/baked to order, came out piping hot and fresh. Oof. So good. And then, last year, they changed. Now pizzas are pre-cooked and sitting whole under a heat lamp at the counter. If you want a slice with extra ingredients (say, jalapenos added to a pepperoni slice), they'll add them to an existing cooked pizza , and "reheat" the slice. Unfortunately, the "slice" is already cooked, and the toppings - in this case pepperoni - are already toasted, if not, burned. Just an awful result. Such an effing same to see this change. There are so many other pizza options in the town of WP. I would (and will) skip visiting Pizza Pedal'r from here on out. read more

Like another reviewer, this used to be our favorite place to eat in Winter Park. This was our first trip here this season. The crust used to be a 5 out of 5. Now I would struggle to give it a 1. We ordered the yardbird and the burrata bianca. The yardbird had 10x the amount of sauce it should have. It was basically inedible. If I wanted to drink BBQ sauce, I would have gone to the store and bought a bottle. Barely any chicken and bacon. As for the burrata bianca, the flavor was OK, but again very little Brussels sprouts and bacon. Literally struggled to find any. Bottom line is new management has cut costs by using inferior ingredients and poorly trained staff and at the same time increased prices. They know they will continue to do a great deal of business purely on the location. Response to owner's comment: It's not about my preferred "flavor". I went to the #1 culinary school in the United States, the CIA in New York. I have extensive knowledge in Italian cuisine, especially authentic pizza. Also, flavor has nothing to do with an over-sauced sloppy pie with barely any other toppings. read more

After a great day on the mountain pizza sounded perfect...we popped in and had a great pie!!!! We also picked the perfect time at about 3 o'clock... Because it wasn't terribly busy so we got our pizza pretty quick... Service was incredible. The place smells awesome and it was overall a fantastic day. This time they had a special that you get a giant slice of any pizza with a Montucky can of beer for $12. That slice was so big, I had to take half of it home. New York pizza with a winter coat! I was blown away finding this gem on top of a mountain in Colorado. Large full-sized slices you can fold like a newspaper, real tomato sauce (fresh?), decent cheese, a new crust(!), and most of all amazing seasonings. Pizza Pedalr has been around for a while but this is my first year trying it. Swapping out the typical NY pizza crust for sourdough is the best move they could have made. The one thing from NY I've never seen reproduced well is the crust. They didn't try and instead gave this amazing fluffy and chewy experience in its place, and I love it. Not only finished the crust but wished I had more. If they made just the crusts like breadsticks with the tomato sauce inside I'd be down. Plenty of NY-style pizza out there, but this is next level. I have not been actually excited about food in I don't know how long. This is the most unexpected of surprises to find this winter! Overall, the place is really welcoming, and the decor is nice enough for looking at while waiting for your pizza. And you might wait a bit... but this is worth it. I also feel like I just had a meal instead of a snack after one slice which does make me feel better about the price, which is kinda high, but it's a resort village so it's going to be. If you're coming up to WPR or anywhere else around here this is first thing on the way into town. It's worth the experience! read more

This pizza place is very cool and the pizza is good. The workers are very nice and friendly. The only problem was that I ordered a sandwich and it took and it took longer than expected. This was only because the sandwich was recently re-added to the menu so they hadn't made it in a while. This has been our go to food place for years at WP. Yesterday was our first trip in this season - even told some out of town folks on the lift on our way that they had the best pizza in Colorado- but when we walked in it was clear everything had changed. All the cool decor was gone and a kiosk has replaced the local kids serving pizza. Slices are $9 now!!! And sitting in a hot box instead of cooked up fresh. So we ordered a full pizza and were told it would be 20 minutes. There was only one other table in the place and they were already eating?? Ok whatever but then it came out and it was greasy greasy w burnt pepperoni. And so clearly not the delicious pizza we love :( Quick internet search shows new management from Florida. Booo! I would give negative stars if I could. We held a moment of silence for the death of our fav place when we got home. Looks like we are now Pepperoni's customers at MJ base. So sad to see an institution like the Pedal'r get ruined! Bring back the delicious CO pizza we love! read more

Stopped in for pizza and beer on a Friday afternoon, and it was hopping! We were staying in the area for Nordic skiing at the YMCA of the Rockies, and we used Yelp to suggest a pizza place. We didn't realize it was inside of the Winter Park Village, but the gate attendant said free 1 hour parking is allowed on the top deck of the garage. We wandered down into the village to find this cool spot tucked in among the shops. There is not a lot of room to sit inside, but we snagged a few seats at the end of one of the long tables. We ordered a large pepperoni, Epic Barrel Rolls, and the $2 beers. Despite being very busy, the food came out fresh and fairly fast. The employees seem to really enjoy the job, and they treat every single person with kindness. The art work on the walls was a nice touch, and the background music was fun. We found out that the music was from a band called the Kitchen Dwellers, and I downloaded their most recent album right away. Great pizza; great employees; incredible atmosphere. Our next visit will be to stay in Winter Park, and we will definitely be returning. read more

This place is great. Small and very chill. My husband and I crushed a whole pizza and a couple beers after snowboarding. It was perfect! This pizza is amazing. Crust is perfect, plenty of sauce, good amount of toppings, and it keeps you wanting more. This location is in the village of Winter Park. It is a popular hangout of hungry skiers and snowboarders. They have more than pizza on that menu, but I only tried the pizza. Inside, go to the counter, order what you'd like and find a seat. If the weather is nice enough for you, there is outside seating. They also have a good selection and beer - I had a local stout. The inside is quaint and fun. This used to be my fave place, the food was great and they made everything to order, even the slices (which I really appreciated). Unfortunately, it came under new management and it went down hill. The pizza isn't as good, the slices are premade in a warming case so you can only get what's available (last time they only veggie available...), the ordering is at a tablet now which is totally impersonal and doesn't seem to improve efficiency, service is bad, they don't acknowledge you, it's just not the same. Been here a handful of times during both the winter & summer months. The place is small but, still fits a good amount of people. You place your order at the counter and they give you a number and delivery your food. The pizza is fresh with a fluffy braided crust and has a good amount of toppings. Amazing pizza in a small space, but totally worth an hour wait on a busy Winter Park night. The crust was crunchy chewy and yummy. My family was able to wait at a table and watch crusts flying in the air and the chefs preparing our pies. Can't imagine how this small crew could make so many pizza's! Busy, but worth the wait. We stayed at Zephyr lodge and could have taken it to our condo, but enjoyed the atmosphere and some of the best pizza ever. We asked for honey packets to eat on our crust and it was like dessert. I go here every time I go skiing and it is amazing food. Best pizza in all of Colorado! It is not only in a super convenient spot but the pizza also tastes amazing and the service is quick.
