On a road trip with some friends from NY and hopped off the exit after finding this pizza buffet through a quick google search. We were greeted by a man named Scott who was super upbeat which set the tone for a great lunch. My friend and I showed up at 7:00pm. On a Thursday night paid for the buffet then proceeded to eat dinner. When we started there were about 4 pizzas on the buffet that were cold and looked like they had been out for a long time. Finally they put out 2 fresh pizzas and no dessert pizza. I asked one of the employees if they possibly had a blueberry pizza in the back. I was informed that they were not making anymore pizzas for the night they chose at 8. It was 7:30 so I guess I missed out even after paying over 25 dollars for 2 buffets. I forgot that they have the request a pizza and they will make it thing but know one told us they were closing soon so we might want to take advantage of this. Let me just start out by saying if I could give this place 1 million stars I would!!!! This is by far a premier buffet style restaurant in the south west United States. If you are any where near Colorado you better get in your car and drive to Pueblo to get ur hands on some of this pizza ranch. You walk in, pay 13$ so you can prepare yourself for an evening full of fun. Biggest piece of advice I can give, don't rush it. Grab yourself a nice nutritious salad so you can balance out the absurd amounts of bread and cheese that you are about to consume!! You don't like pizza? No worries, there is plenty of mashed potatoes gravy and fried chicken that you can drown your sorrows in. Feel free to go ahead and check out the restroom facilities. For the high volume bowel movements this place must generate. I saw no signs of fecal matter within the toilet bowl. I have eaten here about six times now and every time the food is really good! The pizza isn't exactly memorable but it is very tasty. If a person's favorite pizza isn't up on the buffet, a fresh pizza will be made and is usually ready is just about 20 minutes. The salad bar is good but could certainly use some more variety. The hot food really varies: sometimes the mashed potatoes are dried out, and sometimes they are moist, etc. The fried chicken is always delicious! The dessert pizzas are truly a delight, especially the cherry type. The place is usually very clean and cheerful and the servers are for the most part great. I've never had a bad meal here. Was extremely happy dining here! Staff was extremely happy and very helpful!! Kept hearing clapping from the kitchen... When I asked about it they said they have random clapping for staff to encourage staff. Happy staff will mean happy customers! Food was good... Lots of different kinds in the buffet. We try to get a meal from a restaurant we love occasionally to help during all the Covid stuff. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the quality and portion size of our chicken dinners. While the chicken was very good, we had never seen such small pieces! The mashed potatoes and gravy were WORSE than KFC's, and it had powder mix gravy on potatoes that also tasted like they were made with potato flakes. We were shocked that they did not use the same quality we had ate in their restaurant! The coleslaw was a joke -- about a two teaspoon serving, and it didn't taste anything like the coleslaw they had served before. And the biscuits had a easily seen burnt bottom -- why would they even give them to a customer! While we want to support the businesses we like during Covid, we will not be ordering anymore take out from here! Sad, really, because now we are wondering if we ever want to go back, period. You would think they would want to put out the same quality of food now, more than any other time! read more

I wish I could give more stars!!! The staff is amazingly friendly and goes out of there way to make your visit great! We drive over an hour for This Pizza Ranch because they do everything right. The quality of the food is perfect, I love their chicken, pizza and deserts. We have been here several times, but our most recent visit was during the COVID restrictions and they handled everything with care and made the whole process very smooth. Second time here and the first review still stands, but also be aware of their policy in regards to asking for the TV to be turned on. I don't have an issue with their faith base, but when they tell you only certain shows and or movies can be on and they try to push it onto you, some people might get offended. read more

On my way to Dallas, TX, I took a short brake in Pueblo, CO. The big sign outside is what brought me to Pizza Ranch. Huge space with lots of American Western decor. My husband and I went there for lunch about 11:40 A. M. Very disappointed there was hardly any pizza on the buffet. We both got 1 slice each. I thought I'd get some chicken to hold me over until they got more pizza on the buffet. There were 3 pieces of chicken & they were way over cooked. So I got a little bit of salad. After 30 minuets they finally put more over cooked chicken out. A little later husband finally got another slice of pizza and they had put a few more on the buffet. This is my daughters favorite place to eat....we can't even drive by without my two year old begging to eat there! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! I have met one of the owners....it's a Mom and her Son who opened up the place and she is super nice as is all of the staff! We eat here every pay period and sometimes twice! Recently they had a college basketball team come through and the food was flying off of the warmer and they remained calm and made sure to reassure everyone that more food was coming. The staff handled it so well that no one was annoyed or upset. I just can't say enough nice things about this place! read more

I like the variety of novelty pizzas (taco pizza is my favorite) and LOVE the fried chicken! To top it off, if they don't have the pizza you want on the buffet, just ask- they will make it for you and bring it to your table. Although the price is a little more, it comes with everything, so you can even finish with a root beer float. read more

The staff could not have been friendlier. The floor under the tables near us had not been cleaned - I saw beets and other items that had not been addressed. The fried chicken was EXCELLENT, but the pizza was barely warm and not very impressive. A couple of bites of 2 different pizzas was the end of our pizza experience. The mashed potatoes seemed packaged, and the gravy definitely seemed packaged as well. We hoped for better, since it is the PIZZA RANCH, but the chicken made up for the pizza disappointment. We would likely return, but certainly not for the pizza. UPDATE - Following our review and survey, their corporate office sent a coupon for a free pizza IF WE PURCHASE ONE. Since it was the pizza that disappointed us, I replied that this was an odd thing to do. While I do not complete surveys in an attempt to get something for free, I found this off-putting. When local ownership defended the offer from corporate as being in hopes that we would give their pizza another try, I informed them that I would have preferred an expression of concern and nothing further - rather than their offer to get me to spend more money on a product that was already disappointing. We do not intend to return to Pizza Ranch - we most certainly are not going to spend over $20 just for their chicken. With the name being PIZZA RANCH, we would expect much better. Some reviews over recent months are positive, but I have not found one single person with whom I have spoken directly who had a positive experience with the pizza at this location. Not the best place we have ever eaten but not the worst either. The salad bar was OK not much to choose from, and only two dressing choices. My husband did tell me they had more in another area, all packaged. He said the chicken was pretty good, nice and moist. The pizza isn't anything to write home about.
