Haven't been to a Pizza Ranch in years and was so excited to see one open just a tad bit closer to home. We stopped by for a late lunch on a Sunday. It was busy but not super busy, staff kept the pizzas flowing/rotating, and frequently came around to pick up our plates. The food was decent, everything was hot. They had different kinds of pizza including thin, regular, and stuffed crust. They also had chips, pasta with marinara which they eventually swapped out for potato wedges, stuffing, mashed potatoes, fried chicken and a decent salad bar. They have coffee and drinks as well as dessert pizzas, cookies, and soft serve. They have an arcade for the kids, we didn't go in but it seemed a decent size, and they have video in the dining area of the arcade area I'm assuming so parents can keep an eye on the kids. Plenty of parking, I noticed signs for deals (Sunday nights) and they were also having a special customer appreciation dinner that Monday. Overall a good experience here, I am not sure about the 1 star reviews we had no issues whatsoever. read more

This was the soft opening for this new Pizza Ranch location. I've been looking forward to it for a while, I followed the news about its construction and waited patiently as the opening date got delayed a few times. They invited some local businesses to share free buffet coupons with their workers, and I was lucky enough to receive one! Have to say, I'm excited for this new local addition. The buffet is small but they have fun with options, turning out different pizza styles and toppings seemingly randomly. Each time I approached the buffet there was a new option, despite being just a handful of pizzas. The chicken, bacon, and ranch pizza with a stuffed crust was a favorite, and the pepperoni cups on another pizza were cooked crispy just like I like it. Fried chicken was actually really solid, you could come just for that and not be disappointed. I tried all the dessert pizzas and they were excellent as well. They will make a pizza of your choice and add it to the buffet! If you don't see something you like they have a station and they will make you one on the spot with the toppings you wanted, pretty cool concept. The staff is mostly kids, it was nice to see them doing their best and learning as they go. Well done all around, maybe a bit too helpful as they offered to take my plate as I was still eating more than once. They are eager and clearly focused on customer service. No harm No foul. They have arcade options and to my surprise it's bigger than you'd think. There's only a few "play for fun" games, mostly your goal is to win prizes directly or win tickets to trade for prizes, but it's pretty cool and has some options for adults and kids. Clean, fresh, good tasting items and friendly service. For being a place that just opened doing really good at the mentioned items I just listed. Will be back. Carly, Lizabeth and Leland all did an amazing job in their roles today as part of the front of house staff. Even employees who were o. their lunch break still helped knowing they had limited time on break. Management team was around and about, which is all expected during opening weeks of the business. My only suggestion to the place is maybe more descriptive signs on items, but again I would ask and staff assisted to tell me the items. I didn't like having a full hard boiled egg and maybe would suggest them being sliced, but I was able to cut them. I didn't try the Funzone, but if you have kids it looks like alot of fun. Maybe next time. My favorite item was the sausage garlic bread and using the marinara for pasta "the boom", so delicious! I also didn't try any desserts but they did have a good selection. To start - Way better than Cici's. Random Saturday afternoon at 1130am with two boys 9,11. For buffet pizza it is good. Fried chicken was also good, a little salty once in a while but still good. The biscuits, gravy, salad bar, and mashed potatoes were all good. The desert pizzas were AWESOME! There was a cookie pizza, strudel with icing, apple strudel with icing, and soft serve was great. Buffet prices comes with drinks. Some lady made herself a root beat float. The arcade was great too! Pricing for the games way less than the Entertainum at Schaumburg and had variety. They had low stock on food, the breadsticks tasted like the boss used them to clean the toilets, the only decent part was the soda machine but that's something ALL fastfood and buffets have. the only nice thing i have to say is that the employee's were nice, i really hope they get a raise for working in that shithole. You want a better meal for 18 dollars? The dairy queen down the street sells better food. Just don't go, ok? your money's better spent. read more

This is my first yelp review ever. I go to yelp all the time but I've never actually made a review. I work for Stonebridge in Gurnee. We are home to 120 residents from the ages of 22-64 whom have a mental or physical disability. We showed up for lunch today. The kindness and compassion was unmatched. EVERYONE was absolutely incredible in helping with personal pizza orders and holding doors for our friends in wheelchairs. They gave us a private room that wasn't requested, we all felt like rockstars.... How awesome was that! But here's the best part. We had a guy named Les, he was an angel. Literally an angel sent from God. He overheard requests asked of me and just did it. Brought refills on drinks. Ice cream that was requested. Literally no one asked him, they asked me as the activity director. What a sweet soul. We will absolutely be back because of Les. Thank you for your kindness sweet Les, I'll never forget it. read more
