The crust is extremely bready, not crispy on the bottom and fluffy and elastic in the middle, like it's supposed to be. The sauce is practically dried out. Service was decent and they have a variety of options, including whole wheat crust, so one extra star for that. They'll survive on the tourists coming on and off the beach. Sorry, Pizza Rustica. There were so many options that it took a while for me to make a decision! I ended up with chicken, onions, tomatoes and spinach with a red sauce. They offered a Florentine with Alfredo sauce but he made it for me the way I wanted. As long as they have the ingredients, they'll make you whatever you want. The service was fast and prompt. This is a pizza joint. I love the atmosphere. There are only about 6 tables, each sitting 4 and a small booth where you can watch them make the pizza with 4 stools and then there are tables outside on the sidewalk. Now, about the good stuff: my husbands review was:tasty. I'm a little more descriptive! The dough was very crispy on the bottom, not thin and crispy. There was depth to it, it was just prepared perfectly The sauce is really light as well so you're able to really taste your toppings. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. It's not like any pizza I've ever tasted. I usually feel heavy after eating pizza and I didn't. Now it could have been my selection, but it's still a good thing. First and foremost, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is quite rad. But the pizza isn't good, I read the reviews saying it's thin crust - and good, but it's not. The crust is really bread-like and greasy and once again the pizza IS NOT GOOD. They do offer what looks like a great variety, but it's deceiving. I asked the girl what she'd recommend and she said the chicken parm pizza - of course I will try a recommendation from a seemingly popular place. It wasn't good. The pizza had barely any sauce, the chicken was hard and the crust was so overwhelming. Bf got the Hawaiian and the ham is so big that it takes away the flavor. I'm from the north where good pizza is common, and after reading all the reviews talking the place up I expected good pizza. It just wasn't good, we wound up throwing a majority of it away. Simply the best pizza in the United States hands down! I travel often on business and came across Pizza Rustica about 10 years ago and fell in love. There are many choices for all tastes from complete veggie pizza to specialty cheeses, meat, combination, margarita and some of the normal types of pizza. The ingredients are fresh, the pizza crust is thick with a unique flavor and they are open LATE for the Boca Raton/Delray Beach area. The slices are HUGE, prepared and displayed until you select one then they are instantly baked in the large ovens so it's hot, fresh and delicious. There are a few small tables inside and a few tables outside without much room so I usually take pizza to-go. The decorations are not upscale but the pizza is amazing so get past the basic look of the location and try all the variations of pizza they offer! read more

It's flaccid, underwhelming, and just like Columbus, you can expect the accuracy of the order to be as close to a blind paraplegic midget swinging on a piñata. 12am, options limited, and items on menus available options are limited. We placed an order for 2 pizzas. About an hour later.... one pizza arrives. We call up, and the responsibility is passed off to uber. Seriously? I'd expect this response from Eat24, because that service is more fickle than an Alzheimer's patient at a carnival. But seriously, we ordered.... a written down and confirmed order..... and it came incomplete. Oh... and the one pizza that did arrive, it's chilling in the oven while we warm it up. The pizza got here ice cold. Not just cold, but the kind of cold where the cheese has already reset, contracted, and sweat out the oil. It's cold and stale like pizza should be.... if this was sophomore year in college..... and I found this pizza.... in my couch. The same couch we took out of storage a year ago. Not sure what they are trying to do here, but it's definitely not even close to NY style. Some who has never been to NY or who doesn't eat pizza regularly might disagree. They have all kinds of square, not Sicilian, pies with random toppings. And in the window they had plan cheese slices. The first slice was way to hot & the cheese was over cooked. The second slice was burned. So I ask the lady for another slice. She argued with me saying it wasn't burnt. I pointed out the char & burnt edges...the young immature girl gets verbally aggressive & tells me that's how she knows when to pull the slice out. So I asked her to take a look at the undercarriage or bottom bc it was burnt to a gross crisp, She had no idea what she was talking about & she kept it in way to long. The pizza was terrible! Fancier pizzas seem to be tastier and outstanding. The classic cheese slice and pepperoni slice however, are bland, nothing to write home about. The window does say 'Roman Style' but there is nothing 'Roman' about this type of pizza. Still it is a good spot after a day at the beach. read more

Just walked into pizza Rustica to grab my pizza to go and customer walked in and was so insanely nasty to the poor staff. Saying she wouldn't even take the pizza box since the girl was trying to hand it to her and had touched it without gloves. They have hand sanitizer right next to where you pick up the pizza. Emily the girl trying to help check out and hand the lady the pizza was so nice and kind even though the lady was treating her like she was trash! I 100% recommended this place. My BF and I were vacationing in Delray and Pizza Rustica was close to our hotel so we decided to give them a try for a late night snack. They have a very large selection of pizzas and the employees were super friendly; but, the pizza was just average. I liked my margherita pizza, the slices are large and the sauce was good, but my BF really disliked the one he ordered. He actually ended up eating some of mine instead. He said mine was better but just okay in his opinion. I'd go back and give them another try since they have so many other options and are open late. Pizza Rustica is the go to place when you have a hankering for late night pizza. They have an incredible variety of pies. My favorite is the Pizza Margherita. The slices are around $5 each but they are huge and will fill you up. Most importantly the pizza is delicious. This is the perfect late night comfort food. I will definitely be back. read more

Being from Delray I frequent downtown Atlantic ave on a pretty regular basis. Whether it's a beach day or a night out drinking this spot is a staple for anyone in the area. They specialize in Sicilian pizza slices cut in 1/4. Pretty large slice so for 6 bucks you could potentially be full and you can't really beat that lol. Service is pretty quick with the line forming up front at the counter to the door. Seating is fairly limited with a couple tables inside and outside. They have a huge selection of different pizzas with combinations of different meats, cheeses and veggie options. From what I've heard the s'mores pizza is awesome too although the meatball pizza had me too stuffed to try haha. read more

This Pizza Rustica is very close to the beach on the main street through Delray Beach. It's a great place to stop in and grab a slice of good pizza - then go back to the beach. What I like about it is that you can buy a HUGE slice - you don't have to buy the entire pie; the price is very reasonable. There is indoor and outdoor seating. This pizza is delicious especially on a sunny day when you feel like relaxing and stuffing your face. Came here with my fiancé per his recommendation (I actually had no choice) and I'm so glad I listened to him because I've never had pizza so good on this side of the Florida coast. I definitely intend to try every pizza they have because everything looked so good. It all looked super fresh and the lady at the counter was super helpful with picking. They also have a really big selection of sodas which surprised me. More than what most restaurants have. I definitely would recommend this place to everyone I know. Came here because it was one of the only places open after Hurricane Irma, and VERY glad we did. Excellent pizza, particularly the tomato pie. Was like being back on a Jersey boardwalk!
