Pizza SAMs has a typical pizza shop atmosphere. I've tried their salad, calzones, pizza, and bread sticks. The only thing I would recommend is their pizza. Everything else was blah tasting. I have not tried the ice cream but it looks pretty decent. Also, they use disposable cutlery and plates. Super bad for the environment and not fun to use to cut pizza. It's always pretty clean. Service is usually pretty good too. I would recommend the pizza to anyone, and rate it 8/10, but I wouldn't recommend anything else. read more

The barbecue chicken pizza is delicious! Very friendly server. The subs were a little bland tasting but didn't taste bad. Just couldn't used more flavor. The BBQ chicken pizza tho was delicious! Best one I've had so far and it's my favorite type of pizza! read more

This is a great place to go and eat dinner. There are TV all around, a place where little kids can watch the chefs make pizza, and they have great pizza. The Meat Lovers is great, and so are their salads. read more

The pizza was decent. The cheese bread sticks were good but, regardless of how the food was I can't get past the fact that they use styrofoam cups and plates and plastic silverware. So much unnecessary waste and it just feels cheap. Probably won't be back. read more

Really good pizza and their new restaurant looks great! My kids love the "make your own pizza" where they get to put on the sauce, cheese and toppings themselves! Not bad pizza. We got the breadsticks and Greek salad for apps. The breadsticks were definitely just okay- I'd skip them unless you are really hungry and need more carbs. The salad was good. Fairly standard - can't complain. The pizzas were definitely good. We got a make your own veggie and it came out fantastic- literally right out of the oven since they had gotten the first order wrong and we unfortunately had to send it back. The cheese was very gooey and the flavor was overall great. Good crust as well. The other was a cheese and it was good- seemed to have different cheese on it than mozzarella- I'd get it again. I always order from the online delivery site. I love the fact that it arrives fresh, hot and amble toppings! And the site had its flaws, like it didn't take my card one night. Pizza Sam's is a Midland institution. Their pizzas are hand tossed (you can see them behind the glass, and they will playfully interact with any kids who are watching). Prices are a bit higher than the major chains, and they don't easily fit into the category of New York thin crust or Chicago deep dish. But you'll probably be quite pleased with their rendition. Since they moved into their large dining room location on Main Street they serve beer and wine. In addition to Pizza, there are also a variety of other options, but come for the pizza. read more

Last night, 6/25/19 I placed online order at 5:47pm. Reply email stated would be ready for pickup at 6:07pm. I was at the location at 6:05pm and the guy at the register pulled up my info in the system and said it was still being made. So I waited. Well at 6:30pm I asked again for my order, he said that it was already picked up. Well we found it may have been given to the guy that walked in off the street with no verification. So I asked to speak to manager since we were now at 1hour since I placed order. Manager would not speak with me but did offered a refund. So when the guy at register started taking my info on a napkin and placing in his pocket, I asked when my refund would be placed back to me. He said 5 business days. I said """" NO I had waited an hour for an order that was already paid for. Get my order going now and I would wait yet again. So 45 more minutes I finally got my order. I get that they were busy. That is no excuse for poor service or that the manager would not come out and talk to me in person. Also no offer for anything for my inconvenience. I have been going there since I was very young and it was out on M-20. It is mostly ran by teenagers now and it is showing... I will not be going back. This is the best non-chain pizza place in Midland. More for the atmosphere than the pizza, but the pizza is solid. Recently took my two year old daughter there and she loved it. They have hand dipped ice cream that kept her busy unitl dinner showed up, yes dessert first. It is fun for the kids to watch the pizzas being made. Downtown Midland is nice and well kept. Take a walk to the tridge after dinner. Also good place for parties. They do charge a fee, but nice sized room for the kids. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would, but Yelp wants me to overestimate the food and, more importantly, the service at Pizza Sams. After arriving home from a week out of town and nothing in the kitchen, we decided to give them another shot at delivery. We were told it would be delivered in 45 minutes to an hour. So we waited and waited ... and waited. We called when it was an hour and twenty minutes only to be told by person one that it was delivered. We assured them it was not. Person two said it was not listed as delivery, it was in store waiting to be picked up. They did not believe that we placed an order as delivery. Finally, they agreed to get us our food, which THEY MADE US PAY FULL PRICE AFTER ALL THEIR POOR SERVICE, and "graciously" offered $15 off a future order that won't happen. Gosh thanks. Save yourself some money, grief, and grease bloat by avoiding Pizza Sam's altogether. And some advice to Pizza Sams, if you mess up an order, you fix that order not a future order, don't make customers angry and write you a review where I am forced to give you a star you don't deserve. Addendum: They told us we'd get $15 off, but only gave us $10. Take my suggestion, Domino's has better service and better food. read more

I have never been treated so rude by a company in my ENTIRE LIFE. We have ordered pizza here before and while it was good, we will NEVER come back. We just ordered a pizza today and after an hour and a half I finally called and was told that 45 minutes ago the delivery guy was banging on my door and calling my phone. I explained that my phone has been with me all morning and my boyfriend and have all the doors and windows open today seeing as its so nice and we're doing work around the place (townhouse). I NEVER received any phone call nor did we hear knocking. I was told the driver would not lie and that it was not their fault. ROBERT, was incredibly rude and short with me and told me that it was not his problem. We would have to wait another hour if we wanted our pizza made. This was my second and last trip. I went there a year ago and this place was very good so I was excited last night when I convinced my son to go there. We live 30 minutes away. The place was a mess. The floors were disgusting and very messy. We sat there and I figured we needed to go to the counter and order because they sure weren't acting like they were in any hurry to come to our table so I thought maybe that was what I was supposed to do. We ordered and the mozzarella breadsticks were very good. I got a small pizza and it was not very good. My son got a calzone and it was decent but he went through 3 plastic forks while eating it and only ate about 1/4 of it. They really should invest in some silverware and some plates. It would make a huge difference in an opinion. The waitress took our order, brought our food and I eventually had to go back to the counter and ask for a box and our check. She never attended to us at all in between. The kitchen helper(s) had a whole lot of facial hair which grossed me out! The manager was not doing anything but standing at the register, which seemed to be the hangout for all the workers, where he could have been helping out or at least cleaning the floor. There were like 5 waitresses and the place wasn't what I would consider busy. It was about maybe half full and we still got horrible service. I have never hated doling out $30 so much in my whole life! Definitely didn't get our monies worth! UGH! read more
