We have been back here three times in 10 days at the suggestion of our waitress, Katie! Not a single time had disappointed! We returned for the rib special, and now the lasagna. The service, food quality, portions, and prices cannot be beat! It is definitely one of our new "go to" destinations.

Absolutely excellent pizza in a hidden hole in the wall spot! The grandmas pie and their margherita pizzas were outstanding. Truly a gem and they really know what they're doing. The pizza is ny style with a solid crisp plus softness to the crust. Their ribs are great too, but weekends only.

Now known as pizza shack slice house. Walk in plenty of area to sit and dine in or take out. I'm not sure if they do delivery. They have fountain drinks available to offer, bathrooms available and clean. Very Friendly staff helpful and easy to order. We ordered 6 large pizzas few different and some garlic knots. Pizza was really good nice big slices garlic knots also great came served w marinara sauce.

The time we had here wasn't too conventional towards a customer service. Jimmy apparently one of the owners was rude and seemed irritated to our arrival we came an hour before close I see the potential issue but none the less , we sit and order to be greeted with dirty plates , happily to give me new ones we decided to stay and eat , we had fries, onion rings, fried bread , and 2 pizzas ( pepperoni and chicken jalepenio . The pizza crust and bread was superb by far my favorite part of our experience the sauce was lacking to my opinion needed a little more the cheese melted to perfection . The pizza itself delighted the experience . The finger foods were minimally cooked which once again I should have had them crispier. Overall I'd go back they seeem to have a lot of deals and fair pricing don't be scared to step in here . But check your plates that's

Wonderful pizza! This is the second time we have ordered takeout and delivery, and everything was great. The salad too, no iceberg here, nice fresh Romaine lettuce black olives and cheese. (We asked for no tomates). Great selection of toppings and the prices are fair. YUM!!

I've been hearing about Pizza Roma Italian Cafe for ages and finally decided to drop in for a visit. What a cool little out of the way place! When we got there, there wasn't anyone else around. As the evening went on, it slowly filled up and by the time we left, it was crowded! I love it when these local shops get great business. Since it was my first time here, I decided to go with the appetizer sampler with wings (HOT), mozza sticks and zucchini sticks with sides of ranch and marinara. Everything hit the spot especially chasing it down with a cold one! Soon I had my pies on order. A 14" meat lovers and a 14' Hawaiian. After a short wait, our food was brought to the table. Okay, these pies were GREAT! Golden brown crust, crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Just the way I love it. Toppings were cooked through and cheese to toppings ratio was on point. Perfect cheese pulls! These were well made pizzas! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service was GREAT! Our server kept our glasses full and kept checking on us. He later mentioned that he was working by himself that evening. I have say, you wouldn't know it! He had the front of the house moving! Excellent job! My family will definitely be returning to Pizza Roma Italian Cafe! Another East Mesa GEM!

Personal pan, pizza, margarita style with pepperoni

Ahhh - my lunch special was a 10" personal pizza and salad with a drink. Any toppings!!! I chose a margarita pizza with some pepperoni. Perfection. Thin crust was amazing, little crispy with that nice mouth texture, not too doughy, not too much. Didn't hide BUT made the light & delicate tomato sauce really SHINE. Tomato is the key word - as in homemade tomato sauce that began in your own garden, enriched soil and some sunshine flavor. The mozzarella was really fresh. Basil added heaven to it. Little tiny sweet tomatoes halved, just almost exploded from the warm oven...but not quite. Think FRESH on a homemade crust. I also ordered the lasagna pizza for my husband, and I took a big bite of it and it was lovely, I hope he enjoys it tonight. A decent amount of garlic and a richer sauce surrounding that meatball n sausage should make him smile. Just don't be swayed by the bigger restaurant on the north side of Main with a similar name on a big sign - this little cafe is in the Southside of Main in the strip mall.

And then imagine finding out that said location is INSIDE an incredible brewery. Baby... when I tell you I almost ascended. Hello? Excuse me? Did the pizza and beer gods personally hear my dramatic little prayers? Did they not only bless us with this heavenly combo, but ALSO decide to rotate different pizza specials every single week just to keep me emotionally unstable? Because THEY. DID. I genuinely cannot stop talking about this place. At this point my friends are one more pizza rant away from blocking my number, but I refuse to apologize. Every single time I go, I convince myself this is my favorite pizza... and then next week they drop another masterpiece and suddenly I'm questioning everything I thought I knew about myself. What makes this place so ridiculously good is that they are fearless. They're out here using sauces as bases that other pizza places would clutch their pearls over. Ingredients that sound chaotic on paper somehow turn into the most beautiful, life-altering bite you've ever had. It's giving culinary drag performance. Bold. Unexpected. A little dramatic. Perfect execution. And the brewery vibe? Elite. The energy is fun, relaxed, a little loud in the best way, and honestly the perfect setting to destroy an entire pizza while pretending you'll "just have one slice." Lies. All lies. The beer pairings somehow make every flavor pop even more, which feels scientifically unfair. Also can we normalize restaurants understanding that pizza should be FUN? Because this place gets it. They're creative without being pretentious, experimental without losing quality, and somehow every pie still feels comforting and familiar while also making you gasp like you just heard fresh gossip. At this point I don't even ask what the special is anymore. I just trust them blindly like a toxic relationship, except this one actually delivers happiness. 10/10. Life-changing. Emotionally supportive pizza.

Located on the main drag of downtown Mesa you can eat inside or on the patio. There aren't servers, instead, you order at the front desk. The menu has a variety of options, mostly pizza (both classics and signature pies). There is also a bar area where you can grab a pint or two of local brews The interior was electric with people enjoying pizza, locations, watching the Olympics, and just unwinding for the day. We ordered a salad and a couple of pizzas. The salad came out first, and the pizzas weren't far behind Being a self-proclaimed pizza snob, the pizza was fine. It wasn't overly flavorful, and it didn't blow me away, but it also didn't disappoint. The salad was LOADED with toppings, and I was somewhat impressed there. Unfortunately, polling the group, the beer was slightly lackluster. But again, this spot is a fun vibe and is great if you want to hang out for a bit and enjoy a brewery/pizza parlor type atmosphere Some tips: When you're done with your drinks and meal consider walking down the Main Street and stopping by one of their many bars, museums, and other eateries There isn't a lot of parking off the main drag, but we were fortunate enough to find parking on a few different occasions Cheers!

We made reservations at Pizzicata in anticipation of both Valentine's Day and the need to re-carb after the event. We arrived at the host stand a few minutes before our reservation, but were told that there were no indoor tables available. If we wanted to be seated immediately, we'd have to accept an outdoor table, even though we had a reservation for indoor seating. We opted to wait because the weather was chilly by Arizona standards, and we were still recovering from the race. A couple of minutes later, another hostess approached us and asked whether we had reservations and were waiting. When we confirmed, she immediately left to find us a table, and we were seated very shortly afterwards. I thought very little of this until the owner came to our table and apologized for the issue. He was kind and sincere in his regret for the situation and was excited to tell us about the staff and the food. We were wildly appreciative of this attention to detail and service! We shared the potato croquettes, and they were everything I was hoping they'd be and more. (Light lore: I chose Pizzicata because I saw a picture of these croquettes on their online menu.) For dinner, my husband had the Travolta pizza, and I had the gnocchi gorgonzola. We both did that thing where we sat back in our chairs, breathed deeply, and declared, "oh dang, that's goooood." We were both so happy with our choices - I can't speak to the pizza, but that was some of the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft in this perfectly nutty, cheesy, creamy sauce. *chef's kiss* For dessert, we shared the tiramisu, which was perfect in every way. If we weren't already walking funny because of the race, we'd have still waddled out of Pizzicata from happy fullness. The service, the food, the vibe - we're here for it and we'll be back the next time we're in Mesa.

She immediately told us the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes (we arrived at 7:19 and they close at 8), which already made the experience feel a bit rushed. We ordered a deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza, a Caesar salad, fries, and water. The salad and fries came out quickly and were good, but we waited until 7:52 for the pizza. During that time, several staff members including what seemed to be a manager, were loudly yelling back and forth across the restaurant about staffing and schedules. With no music or TV volume, it was impossible not to hear, and it felt very unprofessional. Meanwhile, our water glasses sat empty. I had to ask three separate times for refills, and the third time I actually had to get up and find our server at the bar, where she was sitting, still discussing the schedule. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. Overall, the food was good, but the customer service and atmosphere really took away from what should have been a nice birthday dinner for my daughter. Very disappointing experience.
