YUCK!!! Who puts Swiss cheese and salami on a pizza? If that's not what's on the "combo" then it's anybody's guess - maybe they should have called it "opossum surprise"!!! Our son could have taken a swan dive into the grease that was left behind on the plate after he ate his slice of pepperoni pizza. To add injury to insult the staff insisted on charging 50 cents for a cup of water after we'd spent over $25 on our "meal". Where can you go when you want just one slice of pizza and not the whole pie? Oh and not to mention when visiting outside of lunch hour. I went to a place in Cloverdale that advertised by the slice until 2, but when we got there around 1:45 they were out of slices. Not a good way to do business! Of course that restaurant was empty. This place was empty as well but it was the size of a shoebox with only like three or four tables. However there were customers going in as I left with my slices. That's always a good sign to see other people picking the same place you did, when you've never been to a restaurant before. I like supporting local businesses and in small towns it's easier to find these little hole in the walls. It's also nice to find parking out front. When you walk in you see a huge pizza oven behind the counter. If I could smell I bet it smelled nice in there. I ordered 4 slices to go to munch on in the car with the kids as we were headed home from the coast. I don't recommend eating this pizza in your car unless you want a greasy mess. We saved it for when we got home. (Had to taste test though). Upon opening the box I found four slices stacked upon each other separated by wax paper. The size of the slices made the kids gasp. Ok I gasped as well as I stared at huge slices of thin crust pepperoni pizza with grease oozing from the top. Ya gotta have grease on your pizza though, right? I mean that's why napkins were invented. On to the taste test! My oldest daughter thought the pizza was much better than the Cloverdale. In fact she said it was her favorite from any by the slice places we visited (for lunch of course) in the past. I thought the pizza tasted ok, I enjoyed the thin chewy crust and the amount of toppings on each slice was more than efficent. My second oldest daughter thought the pizza was yummy. The husband after his initial shock of the amount of grease thought it was an ok slice of pizza. Overall it was a better than expected experience in a small town. Don't expect anything fancy, though there were great topping choices on the menu. The service was also friendly and I should have listened when they suggested I grab more napkins. They brought the same level of effort to the product promised in that name, and it did little to alter my core impression of Willits as a town: greasy food, bead shops, teens wandering aimlessly into to traffic. Another reviewer here, Whitney E., shared my experience that the pizza was greasy and needed to be blotted with a paper towel. How then, Whitney, is this worthy of the five-star rating you give it? I mean what is happening to our standards as a nation of pizza lovers? On my reheated slice to go neither the crust nor cheese was fresh, and as I mentioned there was grease pooling on top of the cheese, to an extent that you rarely see on restaurant pizza. When I'm consuming this much fat I like to think that it's at least an integral part of the food I'm eating, and not something purged from my actual meal and left to puddle gratuitously, and nauseatingly on top. Anyway, what can I say? I muscled 'er down, and I didn't get sick. Hence the TWO stars. I can see that my rating is an outlier here, and the other, largely positive reviews are enough that I will give it another try if I happen to be both passing through and hungry. I called and order food. They told us 1 hour and half for delivery. The lady in the background was rude on the phone. So we went and picked it up. We got sandwhich. My sandwhich didn't have the mushrooms like it calls for on the menu. My boyfriend asked for mushroom on his sandwhich. Neither of them got the mushrooms. My boyfriend had two bite of his sandwhich. It taste gross and smell kind of bad. We got wings and garlic bread also. Those are fine. But when we called and complained all they said was sorry and said there was nothing wrong with there food. They are not what they used to be. And today I was terribly disappointed. Their food and service sucked today. She gave me my money back and told me not to return, I assured her I had no interest in that, and that the owner would hear about it. Don't EVER order from these guys. At someone else's suggestions I called and ordered delivery from these guys. I was staying at the Super 8 Motel. First, the guy on the phone had no idea how to take an order, he tried to hang up without taking my CC info or name and he DID hang up before he got my hotel name and room number! The pizza is subpar if you've actually had real NY style pizza, tastes like greasy cardboard, but this review is about the service. The service has never been great but this time was over the top. I come in with two kids and order a slice to go. They give me uncovered, greasy pizza in a paper plate and was denied a box, because I didn't purchase two slices. They offer a piece of foil that doesn't cover the pizza and when I ask for another one, they rip the first piece putting it on. I point it out and am told 2 pieces of foil per customer, I can pay 50 cents for a box, or as the employee throws a plate on the counter, I can eat there. If they hadn't charged my card already I'd have left. Such snark and rudeness. I was appalled at how they talk to and treat customers.The irony of a place called PIZZA TO GO that sells greasy slices that hang over the edge of their plates and are bigger than their precut foil pieces, nickle and dining customers for TO GO BOX... I now have grease stain on my car carpet because the oil penetrates through their one paper plate per customer allotment. In a town that's 3 miles long I'll go to Mission Pizza where the employees know what customer service is, and they provides boxes, extra sauce... without having to charge. read more

I have been eating here periodically since I was a kid. I do not know if they changed ownership of what, but their pizza is not the same. Their crust is much thicker than it has ever been, their sauce tastes different and they do not use the same meat products as the pepperoni is different. This business is very unprofessional. My husband went in for a couple of meatball subs (which IS on their menu) and was scoffed at. The employees literally rolled their eyes at him and treated him as though they were putting him out for that order. About a week or two later I called just before 7:30pm to order a pizza to go. First of all, they answered the phone, "Hello." I can't stand it when businesses don't answer their phone by stating the business name. When I told the woman I'd like to place an order, she informed me they were closing down for the night. I asked if they typically closed at 7:30, to which she replied that they did not, but it had been a little slow that night. I told the girl it was bad business practice to not adhere to the business you set online, on your door, on your menu, etc., and she became very disgruntled and rude with me. There's also been two friends of mine that have called and paid for food. Was charged on their cards, but by the time they went there to pick up he food, they were closed. They went back the next day to try and rectify the situation, to which the owner herself denied such an order. One friend even showed the charges that were taken out of her account via her phone, and the owner's response was basically, "Sorry. There's nothing I can do about it now." Today I went into Pizza To Go in Willits. I am a regular there. I asked for an extra piece of tin foil to cover the whole plate of pizza, so as not to get it on my friend's interior of his car. The woman behind the counter got upset with me for asking, and angrily said,"If one piece of tin foil is not going to make you happy, five won't make you happy. So I'll put it in a bag!"
