The salad was nice with many fresh toppings to add to the crispy romaine. For my $15, I had 3 slices of pizza from a medium pizza and a nice salad with a drink. That's probably about average for lunch these days. If I knew this was to be the case, I would have paid for a regular pepperoni pizza than would have cost me less than paying for a build my own asking for a few extra toppings. I had maybe 10 pieces of chicken on my entire pizza. The cauliflower crust was honestly not as good as Pieology, it was dry as a cracker.

Family owned, the owners are very kind and welcoming. I seek out locally owned restaurants whenever I can and try to pay cash when I can to help offset their growing expenses. They offer a very nice salad bar that includes lots of crisp Lettuces and other vegetables, beans, cheese, nuts, and dressings. I really enjoy their individual pizza with a variety of toppings. The crispy bottom of the pizza crust is my favorite and unique among other pizzas in the area. They also offer wings and sandwiches. The restaurant is clean though the furnishings could use a bit of updating/brightening. That is not the first reason I go to a restaurant. I am interested in the quality of the food and cost of the meal. I am willing to overlook tape on chair cushions, etc. If you've not given Straw Hat Pizza a try, I strongly suggest that you do so.
