OVERPRICED and UNDERWHELMING. My husband and I got into Montauk around 9pm after an 8-hr drive. This spot was the only thing open and with decent enough reviews we decided why not. I paid $80 for 1 L pizza and a caesar salad, AFTER checking the website's menu and prices and calling in my pick-up order. Insane. I requested bacon instead of ham chunks on a hawaiian pizza and the phone rep (likely the owner I saw in person who told me "well I'm not sure who you spoke with but they should've told you") decided he'd customize a pizza and add each topping individually, $23 for a cheese pie, $3 for bacon, $3 for pineapple, $8 for mozzarella, and some amount for pizza sauce. Like, WHAT?! My husband paid and when I saw the bill I walked right back to ask WTF?! The guy explained "oh those prices online are wrong, we've been trying to have that menu taken down" to which I say "how would your customer know that?!" And each of his responses was more nonsensical than the last- "well how would we sustain this place with those outdated prices" (being $29 for a L hawaiian). Mind you, those prices are THEIR menu from THEIR website. The WORST customer service, and for that alone I wouldn't give em another dime. I'd say the pizza was aight, but after paying THAT and having experiencing gooodt pizza place to place, no way it could live up to $50/pie. I won't even get started on the caesar with the dry chicken breast and a pinch of parmesan. They made writing this shitty review so easy for me it's unbelievable. read more

We tried it for take-out on a rainy, chilly August night. We had eggplant parm with spaghetti, small salad, ziti primavera with sausage, and a cannoli. Boring bread came with the dinner but there were small packages of what appeared to be fresh ground parm. Overall, like food I might make on a lazy night when I didn't want to cook. My partner enjoyed the ingredient-rich eggplant; not the best, but good. Thought the sauce could have used a touch of sugar as it was acidic. There was enough for the next day. I had the sausage & veggie ziti. A huge portion with enough sausage to make 3 night's dinners. There was some broccoli, peppers, onions and 1 olive slice. Primavara should had big chunks of some of the wonderful seasonal veggies. But the sausage was not cooked properly. It should have been fried/grilled/baked. There was no crusty bite to it. The cannoli was ok. Shell was dense and the filling too smooth and sweet. But it was freshly filled when we ordered so the shell wasn't soggy. The person taking the order was a new employee and had to ask the others for the answers to my questions. And for some reason, I was a pain asking a lot about preparation. But the business shouldn't have someone who knows nothing about the food to answer the take-out line. The prices were very reasonable. Looked like it would be unpleasant to eat in. read more

The staff is really friendly. Pizza was made in a fairly reasonable time. Also to note they only accept cash. Each pie is was $23ish way too expensive for what it was. The Hawaiian was definitely a big disappointment. It was too wet and on top of that everything slid off when you tried to pull a slice off. They could do a better job cutting it but definitely wouldnt help much because it's still wet at the end of the day. However the chicken parmesan was the highlight, super delicious but it too was slightly wet. I think I would go back again next time to split the chicken parmesan and maybe try something else. My parents came with me to this pizzeria and the food was amazing I personally got the chicken parmigiana and had some of the cedar salad with grilled chicken, the chicken parm was given in a huge serving of chicken so much it dwarfed the amount of spaghetti. I ended up finishing my parmigiana swiftly and moved onto the Caesar salad, it was good but the chicken felt a little dry. Besides the huge serving of chicken dwarfing the spaghetti and the chicken on the salad being a little dry it was an amazing experience and left me needing to write a review of this place. Go to IGA and get a can of Chef Boyardee for a tenth of the price, and I promise you, you will be much more satisfied. Their food is consistently terrible. Came here after a few beers at Montauk Brewing as we knew some pizza would hit the spot. There is another pizza place that's actually closer to the brewery but it has no seating, Pizza Village has a lot of tables and chairs which is what we were looking for. All the table service here accompanies a waitress which was really nice, we started off with jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks. Both were good and came out unbelievably fast. Next we ordered a bunch of slices, which also came out very quickly. I had the chicken bacon ranch and the grandma, The chicken bacon ranch was heavy but filling. The grandmas style was a little different then what I was looking for but was still very good. They have a much larger dinner menu, and I would be interested to see what a meal from here is like. Above average pizza with a wide variety of topping options including Hawaiian. Depending on your topping selection the pizza bottom can be a bit soggy so for a relatively thin crust this can be somewhat annoying. Yes, it is expensive but it is Montauk and I heard a story about PREVIOUS owners that gouged people in the area with $80 pies during the great blackout of 2003 since they were literally the only place open. So, assuming that lore is even true at least things are not that bad! As others have mentioned it is cash only. There is an Avoiding Tax Machine (ATM) in the place so at least purchases are still possible. For this trip it was a large take out run and they got everything correct, added on what we needed at the moment, but still had to ask for the basics of some red pepper and cheese for optional personalization. For the expense and the fact that this largely a tourist town you would think they would be more proactive with that. read more
