LOVE PIZZA WEST! We've been there multiple times and we'll keep coming back. The food and service are fantastic and the prices are just right! You get a good amount of food for your money and the lunch time salad bar is really good too. Their food has lots of flavor and is better than a lot of homemade. We haven't found a restaurant anywhere that is more acommadating than at Pizza West. If you don't see what you want on the menu, they'll make it if possible. Their sandwhiches and pizza are in our best catagory. It's a very family friendly place with very friendly and fast servers. Our family has been eating here since the fall. We originally tried this on a "Groupon or Morgans Deals" offer. We have been back at least twice a month since. We always have the buffet. With 3 kids (10, 7, and a 16 month old) it is ideal. The pizza is superb! The wonderful thing about the buffet is that they will take requests. You tell them what kind of pizza that you want and they will make it for the buffet. The pizza is very high quality and they do NOT skimp on the toppings. They offer a type of pizza for everyone. Kids love the Mac n' Cheese pizza. I'm a big fan of the taco pizza. This establishment has become a family favorite. We drive from near 75th and I-35 to western Shawnee to dine. Ever since moving to shawnee this is our go to, especially during buffet hours. Best pizza ever. The dessert pizza is out of this world. The employees are amazing, most have been there for years, however, I am starting to see a lot of new faces and some of the old ones leaving. Every buffet they will ask what pizzas we would like out there and within 15 minutes our requests are on the buffet line. This place is literally a gem from the owners to the employees to the decor I really don't think they could do anything more to improve this place. It is near perfection. read more

We recently moved to Shawnee and as I have a 12 year old son.....We eat pizza! There are a lot of pizza joints in western Shawnee but this one is the best. I love the thin crust pizza's best and they don't overload it with to much sauce. read more

Oh.my.goodness. We actually ended up at Pizza West because the original place we were going to go was closed. What a lucky day for us! We went on a Monday night. As they were seating us, they walked us by the buffet. I HATE buffets (rule of thumb). But dang it looked delicious. We didn't even crack open the menu. Our server was delightful. I should have caught his name. He was blond with thick black-rimmed glasses I believe. He was super helpful. The pizza was amazing. My 13-year-old always used to get macaroni and cheese pizza at a restaurant in Lincoln, NE that was amazing. Pizza West's was better. I loved the barbecue chicken pizza. My husband enjoyed the St. Louis style meat lovers. It was just terrific all around. The salad bar was delicious. The dessert pizza? Ah-mazing. I'm just sad they won't have the buffet on my birthday next week. So great! And the price was awesome! We were used to a lackluster huge pizza salad bar situation up in Nebraska that charged $13/person before a drink. This was I think $8.95. We more than got our money's worth. read more

I have to say, my family and I *love* Pizza West. It is one of our "must haves". These are owners who care that use fresh, natural ingredients to make very high quality food at a very fair price. They make most of their dressings from scratch and their Ceasar dressing is to die for. Their pasta sauces are also amazing - all from scratch. The adobe sauce is definitely a unique sauce that I overdosed on! That they serve alcohol is a definite bonus. I like that they have a separate kids/party type room, because I'm more interested in an adult type dinner. I wish their were more local restaurants like this - a real nice change of pace and worlds above the chain pizza places. read more

Tried Pizza West for the first time today, and I was so pleased that I did. The decor is cute and funky, in a good way, very comfortable. The servers and management are so nice, that it feels like you're with family when you are there. The salad bar is very clean and fresh, with lots of dressings to choose from. Had the tomato basil soup, if was really flavorful and fresh, everything is house-made. We tried both the tin crust and the rolled crust, and I can't decide which is my favorite, the are both tasty, I think the rolled crust had a bit more flavor. The pizzas are very good and taste like they are made with wholesome fresh ingredients, a world away from franchise pizza. Give Pizza West a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

The Mac n cheese, clear creek carnivore and margarita pizzas are our favorite, but there are several others that are equally as good. My wife and I agree that we would recommend this place. The reason we went there is we love to play pinball and they probably had 6-7 pinball games. We were both surprised at how good their pizza was and I would rate it at about an A-. They will make anything you want and is worth the effort.
