As a mother of two kids, it isn't always easy to find a place to eat which will be accommodating and won't judge the occasional spill or messy floor. From the very first time my husband, kids, and I came here we've been big fans. We were on vacation in misquamicut and needed a place where we could "veg" after a day at the beach. Our food came out quickly, was very good, and our kids happily scarfed down their kids meals. Overall our experience was very positive. We've been back a few times since then, and I'm really happy to have found a place which solves the "so where should we take the fam for dinner tonight?" dilemma. My favorite local pizza place is Pizza Place! the gorgonzola pizza is to die for, and the shrimp scampi pie is another personal favorite. Be sure to try the gorgonzola salad -- delicious! As one would expect, this is casual dining. There is plenty of seating available, but if you have to wait for your table you can hang out and watch the guys make the pies. read more

Simple perfection. Pizzas and salads are addicting. We tried the grilled veggie wheat pizza last time and we loved it. The cheese pizza is excellent. We recommend the sausage pizza too; sausage is made at local butcher shop: Bruno's. No matter what pizza we order we always get a "Sheila's favorite" and chopped pasta salad-the balsamic dressing is really delicious. read more

I haven't been here in years. It's very close to my home but I never remember it exists. Today the boy I babysit suggested we get salads from here instead of our usual pick pockets. I have to say, it's not bad but it really isn't great. We got a decent amount of salad for the money but my chicken Caesar salad is entirely ice burg lettuce. I opened it up to a basically yellow salad with some chicken on top. I also didn't specify I wanted grilled chicken so the norm is more like a chicken cutlet I guess. So that's what I'm having. Jake has a chopped pasta salad which has lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms (I think), Gorgonzola cheese, pasta, bacon and chicken with a Balsamic Vinaigrette. He seems pretty satisfied. Only commented on the chunks of cheese being too large for his liking. Definitely worth the try. Downtown westerly as a whole is fun to explore. I'll have to try their pizza next time. read more

This place is so good, that we drive down from Narragansett in the summer just to have the pizza! Yes, it's that good that it is worth driving to! Their salads are also phenomenal--I forget what it is called on the menu, but the one with the gorgonzola cheese in it is to die for! Good service too, nice atmosphere. read more

We love to come here for the chopped pasta salad and gourmet pizza. The service is usually friendly and the food comes quickly. Tonight was an exception. We waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged and instead of being greeted kindly, the waitress (woman with a long brown ponytail) took out her notepad and said only ,"All set?" I would have loved to have heard her apologize for the wait or ask us if we'd like to start with drinks. Maybe even just hello. After each menu item we ordered, she would say,"Got it." We both deviated from our norm and ordered the chicken parmigiano dinners. They came with a dinner salad. My husband asked for feta to be added to his. What we received, instead of two dinner salads, was 1 gorgonzola salad. No feta. We would have told the waitress had she stopped back at the table. The chicken was dry, the sauce was watery and the pasta was undercooked. The waitress asked if I'd like another glass of wine as she breezed by, and I said yes. It never came. We were made to feel as if the waitress was doing us a favor by taking our order. It was a disappointment and put a damper on our evening. I understand that it was a busy night, but whatever her problem was, it was her job to put a smile on and make us feel welcome. A brief apology for the slow service would have gone miles as well as a quick check in to see if we needed anything. I think I will wait awhile before coming back. read more

This pizza is some of the best I've had in the area. I will be returning. I'm a big fan of pizza places in New Haven (Pepe's, Modern) and while this pizza is a different type of thin crust, its just as good. The service is great and the outdoor seating is relaxing. After visiting here the previous posts that this place was pricey was mind boggling. One pizza will feed 2 people, we ordered 2 and took home a whole pie after splitting a salad. A specialty medium size pizza from $10-13 is very reasonable considering toppings like shrimp and scallops. I feel bad for the dates of previous posters stating its expensive. I was very impressed by this place. After a long day at the beach, we were looking for somewhere to eat and came across Pizza Place. The staff was so friendly. The hostess chatted us up while we were waiting for a table, and our waitress was very sweet and accommodating as well! That was enough to make the difference between a good experience and a great experience. Pizzas looked delish, but none of us actually ordered one! Chopped pasta salad had been talked up on Yelp, so I decided on that. And I agree with everyone else! Great balance of flavors and textures. The small salad is actually HUGE, I could barely finish it. We also got a few pasta dishes with meat sauce and meatballs, which were tasty as well. Laid back atmosphere and very clean. I go to school in Boston, but whenever I'm home I make sure to order the BBQ chicken pizza and chopped pasta salad for takeout. Everything is really crisp and delicious, and all at reasonable prices. It gets busy on weekend nights, but the wait is never too long or unbearable. read more

So tasty, my favorite place in town. The best way to go is with either the garlic bread (which is pretty much a cheap, crispy pizza) and another pizza. Out of all the pizzas I've tried, the only one I wasn't crazy about was the potato pizza, but it might not have been my type. We usually get the Rosie's (tomato and bacon) or the BBQ chicken. The only issue might be that the pizza is not as big as some places, and therefore, not as filling, but I actually like that, since I've never had it grossly greasy. Never had a problem so far with either take out or in, so if you're in the area, I'd say get some. read more

EPIC FAIL! When this place was PETES Famous Pizza, I recommended this place to everyone I talked to. Under the new ownership, however, this place is horrible. The pizza was luke-warm at best and the crust tasted like it was a frozen product that wasn't even cooked correctly. My roommate ordered a steak bomb calzone but received a cheese steak sandwich that was also luke-warm. He, at least, said it was decent. I live 10 minutes away and the total delivery time was 45 minutes. I've seriously eaten better pizza from the frozen freezer case at the store. read more

Went there last night after looking at many pizza posts online. I thought the pizza was subpar with poor ingredients.we had a sausage and mushroom pizza. The sausage and the mozzarella were of poor quality.we also had a Caesar salad which was okay. The staff was young and friendly.The place was also clean. Ordered the Thai Chicken pizza, didn't have the flavor I expected, was very dry. Asked for additional sauce, which the server informed us they were out of. She offered to make us a different pizza. The Buffalo Chicken pizza came out perfect, with lots of flavor. read more
