Pizzas were hot and service was quick. I usually order a pizza from their display and they heat it up and bring it to the table. I've also tried the dine in option and it was just as good! It is a casual environment with plenty of seating. No parking lot but plenty of street parking along the road.

Pizzeria Bacio is a family run Italian restaurant located right across the street from the lovely Vassar college campus. Bacio's has a large menu with pizzas, pastas, meats, salads, sandwiches, and much more. I have been here quite a number of times as this is one of my parents' favorite restaurants and they go here on basically a weekly basis. The food here is really solid, although I don't have pics of everything, I've tried probably over 15 items on their menu and they have all been really good. I particularly love their pizza, garlic knots, and chicken francese. I've never had a bad item here at all. The waiters are all great and very friendly and food comes out pretty quickly. We have never had a problem with anyone who works there and my parents have probably gone close to 100 times so I feel very safe in making that declaration. The vibes are definitely more family style pizzeria, but on the nicer side of that genre as they have a very nice outdoor patio. I do really enjoy this restaurant and never mind at all when my parents make me go basically every day when I visit. Definitely recommend people check this place out when come to Poughkeepsie, great for takeout as well.

Oh my, there's just something about Bacio I like, and it's the pizza, which is tasty and yummy. We have done takeout many times and dinned in the past and the date I posted this review, we've returned. It's an easy procedure, calling in and they ask for your name and give an order number. Very friendly service from start to finish. It all goes from there picking it up. Don't forget to try their saltine salad (which doesn't include and come with dressing while doing takeout) - let me say, very very good. There many thing dishes they offer besides pizza, which will be on my list to try for another time.

I've only ever taken out from Pizzeria Bacio so I cannot speak to the dine-in experience. I cannot eat dairy so I was thrilled to find out that they serve vegan cheese. The pizza is cooked wonderfully so even though the cheese isn't really "cheese" it's still melty, gooey, and delicious! My only criticism may be that you do need to order an entire personal pizza if you are ordering the vegan cheese. You can't just get a slice which makes it a little more pricey. Still it tastes so good, so I wouldn't dock them any stars for that.

There's something to be said about perfect pizza. My mom is incredibly picky about it. This pizza brought us back about 45 years or so to where I grew up in NJ. Thin crust with an ever so slight crunch to it. Tasty sauce that's not overwhelmed by oregano. Great cheese. Not burnt. Just a perfectly pleasant slice. You can't find that in many places these days. The slices were each bigger than my mom's head and she crushed it. I had a nice bowl of pasta fagioli with a warm, delicious dinner roll. Service was fine. Decor was fun. Comfy. Oh yeah, I'll be back for sure. Oh, one more thing..... 15 BUCKS! HOLY HELL! That's a steal!

Great food at a reasonable price! Salads are particularly delicious, and you can't lose with the pizza. Also great for events!

The restaurant is a small establishment with street parking only, but we were able to find a spot without too much trouble. Walking in, the atmosphere was pretty simple and straightforward. There wasn't anything particularly memorable about the décor, and it reminded me of a neighborhood bar from the 1980s. That said, it was clean, comfortable, and felt like a casual local spot. The service was one of the highlights of our visit. Everyone was friendly, our order was taken quickly, and the staff was attentive throughout our meal. We both ordered build-your-own pizzas, and while they were good, the crust wasn't quite what we expected. The sourdough crust was actually the thinnest pizza crust I've ever had and didn't have the fermented sourdough flavor or texture I've experienced elsewhere. I was also a little disappointed that there wasn't a vegan cheese option, especially considering the extensive menu and variety of toppings available. That said, the pizzas were enjoyable, but both of us tend to prefer a slightly thicker crust. If you're a fan of ultra-thin crust pizza, Dutch Crown will likely be right up your alley. While it wasn't exactly what we were expecting based on the sourdough description, the friendly service and quality ingredients still made for a pleasant dining experience.

The venue itself is art deco style, kept immaculately clean (including the restrooms). I had the Grilled Chicken sandwich with avocado and aioli sauce, with Tuscan fries (house cut I'm told) both of which were very good. The wife had the Honey Chicken Ginger Salad and we both agreed that it was excellent. Our server, Jenny, deftly handled the full bar, the bar dining area, and the drink orders for the entire restaurant. There was a dessert special of Italian Lemon Cake offerred, but unfortunately, I couldn't convince my wife to split it. The prices were very reasonable, and the food was very good. We'll definitely come back.

It slightly pains me to write this review, as my first experience at Cosimo's was soooooo good…read more Let's get on with it tho. We visited on the Friday before V-day, the house was packed around 18:30. The wait was 45 mins which wasn't too bad for a Friday night. We decided to wait in the lobby after trying to find a cozy waiting spot near the bar and missing. My wife attempted to order me a mocktail, but of course the bar was crazy busy. When the bartender finally acknowledged her, the mocktail requests obviously threw the bartender for a loop because I ended up with watered down ginger beer and a sprig of mint. My advice for anyone looking for a virgin drink at this bar would be to order a club soda with lime and call it a night. We were seated at the 45 min mark, and were escorted to the packed bar, where they have some exterior tables for diners. My seat was in the middle of the couch split, which I found mighty uncomfortable so we opted to request a seat in the main dining room, which the staff happily obliged. With dinner we ordered hot tea and were given lukewarm water and a choice of Stash teas. Our beverage experience here was very disappointing. The calamari arrived and may have been the only highlight, although we didn't find it to have that fresh calamari texture. My wife ordered a ravioli with mushroom, and felt the pasta and veggies were just swimming in butter. I ordered my steak medium and it was okay, but the juices from the greens made the croquettes soggy, and unenjoyable. The server did his best, and all the staff here are so kind. Coulda been an off night but I doubt we'll be back anytime soon. The Mocktail Madam.
