Tomato gluten free and dairy free
Yvette 'Divie' E.

I'm always on the hunt for delicious pizza, and my time in Venice was no exception. The challenge is finding both regular and gluten free and dairy free pizza that tastes good. We found it here! Food/drinks: I couldn't believe the pizza was gluten free! It reminded me so much of the real thing that I actually had to confirm. I ate tomato, olive oil, and garlic only; toppings were anticlimactic (read: tomato sauce only) but that crust was everything! Heard the regular pizza was good too. Ordered an aperol spritz and after dinner grappa; the latter of which was totally unnecessary, as they neglected to tell us we'd receive complimentary limoncello. It was a boozy early dinner! Ambiance: We ate a late lunch/early dinner so easily snagged outdoor seating. Fun watching people walk by! Service: Friendly and didn't rush us. Did have to flag him down a couple of times. I would easily go back for more pizza! They also had a €20 2-course meal and plenty of gluten free options that I'd be willing to try again. One of the better experiences we had in Venice.

Ristorante Dolfin had a great spinachi side dish but the pasta dishes were not good. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant. The pasta and sauce doesn't not come across homemade. The space is nice overall and staff were friendly but the food is what really counts.

Gnocchi Quattro Formaggio

We had a wonderful time here, Roma was our server he was so kind and took great care of us. This was our last night in Venice and found this place after our gondola ride. This is not in the main area, we started with clams in a white wine and garlic. I had gnocchi it was soooo good with rich creamy cheese sauce. My husband got the spicy arrabbiata and a side of grilled vegetables. The place was nice and we had a lovely bottle of red wine.

Excellent service and amazing food. We decided to have a pizza each which were to die for. Very reasonably priced. Will be eating here again... Came here to eat again today. This time we decided to have pasta, which was a great decision. It was remarkable. The taste, the presentation and smell of it was incredible. Desert was just as good. I went with a creme caramel whilst my partner went for the chocolate cake. Both were wonders to the taste buds which genuinely made you feel happier whilst eating. The service as above was excellent. The staff remembered us and made us feel more welcome than the night before which I thought was brilliant. Could this be the best restaurant in Venice?? In my opinion most definitely. Honestly recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling here!!!

Amazeballz! Apparently these sausages are made with wine. One of the best pie's I've had in Italy, hands down!

We found this place via Google maps and it had crazy awesome reviews on TripAdvisor. When you first arrive, the place does not look like anything fancy and if you did not know it, you would normally walk right past it. Exceptional value for the price you will pay. I feel like the food was underpriced, and so was the w We stopped in and had the best ravioli with gorgonzola cheese with walnut cream sauce on it and a lasagna that was absolutely to die for! They also stocked one of our favorite wines from Italy, a Chianti Classico riserva. The service was great, we had a waiter named Roma who was very friendly and spoke excellent English. For dessert we had the coconut ice cream and mascarpone which were both exquisite. The flavors on the food were so powerful. We have nothing bad to say about the experience we had here. Highly highly highly recommended! We will most likely come back tomorrow.

Spaghetti Alla amatricana and pizza with eggplant and prosciutto

Very good food! Bruschetta was amazing. We had spaghetti all amatricana and a pizza with eggplant and prosciutto. They both were very good. Good service.

Grilled sea bream. Perfectly cooked! Delicious.

This review is based on daily 3-course menu and a la carte choices. (We didn't try their pizza). We stopped by in late afternoon (almost 3pm) for lunch. We could get seated immediately. Service was ok, and the food was good (some were great, some were just ok.) 3-course menu: They had meat and seafood options, so I picked seafood with gnocchi with salmon as appetizer, grilled sea bream for main, and mixed salad as side dish. Although gnocchi and salad were average, the fish was the star! It was cooked perfectly. Cooked through inside yet moist and soft. Seasoned simply, not overdone, so squeeze of lemon was perfect accompaniment. 3-course menu (seafood) costed 17 euro, so it was a great deal. A la carte: My partner chose bean soup and liver sautee w/ polenta. The both were hearty and delicious. (Although I'm not usually a fan of liver, I found their liver dish tasty.) All in all, we were happy we tried this place. If you are around the area, I recommend stopping by.

We had the most delicious meal at Dolfin. Our waiter Ramon was kind, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. It was the perfect first night in Venice. The gluten free selections were excellent, and truly gluten free. Thank you!

Grilled steak

We stopped in here based on a Trip advisor decal on the window. The service was great, but unfortunately, the food was just ok. Nothing really stood out. We ordered the Insalata caprese--tasty, the mozzarella definitely had flavor and it was served not with basil but arugula. The Risotto scampi e rucola for two was nice but something we can definitely get at home. The Grilled beefsteak, however, was like leather. Terrible. We left 3/4 of it. The Gnocchi four cheese was good. And the Liver and onions and polenta was not bad either. Overall, fine but nothing to write home about.

What better way to spend it than wandering around Venice and enjoying dinner at Rossopomodoro? They're still in the "Italy training program" and these menus tend to confuse them, so after three weeks here I felt obligated to guide them toward the promised land. After much studying, debating, and staring at menus, it was finally time to order. I went with the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, and the wife and I shared a salad. When that salad hit the table, it nearly stole the entire show. We drizzled on a little balsamic vinaigrette, added a shake of salt and pepper, and suddenly we were ready to dance right there in the alley. Fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, crisp greens--every ingredient tasted like it had been picked that morning. It was outstanding. The pasta was very good, but today the salad was the undisputed champion of the meal. Of course, dining outside along Venice's busy walkways only adds to the experience. Watching people pass by while enjoying great food is one of those simple pleasures that makes Venice such a special place. Rossopomodoro delivered a fantastic meal and a great evening. The newcomers survived their first full day in Italy, and I'd say they're off to a pretty good start.
