Ordered takeout for this place. I haven't been here in many years and was in the area. Ordered the Special Salad Bowl with Italian chopped salad, giardinera, pepperoni, mozzarella chunks, tomatoes and had lot of onions. Was a nice full portion but they didn't provide the dressing so had a very dry salad. Ordered also the Windy City Works pizza with onions, peppers, mushrooms, bacon, burger meat, pepperoni, sausage, 3 cheese - mozzarella, cheddar, pecorino. The pizza was a salt bomb and almost inedible. This place has a lot of nostalgic memories for me and honestly, it should've remained a memory. I wanted to like this place as much as I did years ago but there are much better places for pizza nowadays.

Personal-size of The Original Chicago Deep-Dish Pizza at Pizzeria Due! Served "Uno per Due" (if you like my play on words...)
    Rich S.

Pizzeria Due is "The" original Chicago Deep Dish pizza! Ok, well, they opened first in 1943 down the block at Pizzeria Uno :-) They expanded with Due in 1955. Same difference. We stopped into this old Victorian for a weekend lunch (May 2026), and had our pizza in the style of an old Italian meal, the same dish prepared for the two of us: Uno per Due! Deep, buttery crust, luscious chunky sauce with savory lightly-spiced sausage ... with the cheese in between the crust and the sauce! Back in the day, it was my first deep-dish pizza, and it's still the one I judge them by. Uno's does ok in their franchises, but the original restaurants are the best. Nevermind exactly whoever among the original Uno"s staff actually invented this not-south Italy not-thin-NY-pizza. There's some controversy (and marketing) there. But it was the first, and the founders of both Gino's East and Lou Malnati's (supposedly) worked at Uno's before starting their own! This is Great pizza in a City of Great pizza. Get your tasty original historic deep-dish pizza here!

They're slam packed, but still smiled and greeted and seated me. I got an adult drink. (Not the heaviest pour, but that's okay) My pizza is delicious... it's the perfect thin crust, not burnt (I hate burnt crust). You can faintly taste the fresh tomatoes they used in the sauce, the individual cheeses, separate , and then together... and then the sausage kicks in. I'm not a huge fan of the sausage... I should've got just cheese I'd be back. The service was great

I used to work at one of UNO's locations and I was fully expecting DUE to be right on par. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to that level. Started with the Chicago Mule and Blueberry Mule. Both were very nice and well-balanced. For dinner, we got the Numero Uno and The Chicagoan. My guy has never had deep dish pizza before and he really enjoyed both pizzas, but preferred numero uno. The Chicagoan was my favorite of the two. I loved a good giardiniera! I was disappointed with how flakey the crust was. The pizza would just fall apart with every bite making it really hard to eat. Just overall average in terms of flavor. Service was great, though, so they're winning on that front. Someone was taking photos so we got ours taken. They used the worst one as the complimentary photo, but we liked the animated one they made of us. $20 was a bit much for it tho.

Another great meal. We were in town visiting family for Thanksgiving. Had to some downtown to get our fix on the best deep dish. We always park at the garage by Unos. But we did come on Black Friday and UNOs was packed. So we went to Dues and there was no wait. We got the medium for 4 adults. We got pepperoni with sausage and half mushrooms. Such a classic! Always a good time at UNOs or Dues. This was my husband's first time at Dues. We had a great time and the servers are amazing as always. Just know the bathrooms are tight for ladies in the stalls. My dad and I had Cruz Blanca Mexican lager so yummy! And we had to do another! Prefect starting spot to do some Black Friday shopping

This was my first attempt at Chicago Deep Dish and what better place to try it at than the creator's restaurant! The pizza was perfectly cooked and served at the optimal temperature. The atmosphere was very inviting and our server was extremely attentive. I would recommend many times over! Now this isn't your typical fast food pizza so it will take time for your food to be cooked but IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

This review is for a corporate event. We did a pizza making class, which was pretty affordable - $55 PP for a personal pie, one beer/wine, soda, and salad. The pizza making was rather simple - all you do is stretch the dough out to cover a pan then fill it with topping. So the interactive part is probably like ... 5 minutes TBH. I wish it was a bit more interactive - maybe show how to make the dough? The pizza turned out like a solid chicago pizza. Service was friendly.

Super delicious pizza! The service was good. It took a while for the pizza to come but we were told ahead of time how long it would take. It's like a small mom & pop vibe. I would recommend for a more chill atmosphere.

Pizzeria Uno and Due are sister restaurants 1 block apart, supposedly the home of Chicago original deep dish pizza back in 1943. Great local classic ambiance and it's hard to beat the literal original pizza recipe. Even Lou Malnati himself used to work at Uno! Due is the less crowded sister location serving the same food as Uno so great place to avoid crowds.

Came by at 11am for a slice. Was met by friendly staff. Was pretty empty since it was the start of the day. There's plenty of seating options. Some outside. Some on top and some they call down stairs but really it's all on the same plane. Food came out quick. It was a cheese deep dish and it's always encouraged to call ahead. The cheese on it was delicious. It was the right texture and consistency. Gooey but not overpowering. I can only imagine what the supreme deep dish or others would taste like! I asked the staff the story behind the place and they also gave me a quick lesson. Happy I came!

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. On top of that, my order arrived quite late. I wouldn't recommend this place based on my experience.

What can I say great pizza and I went out on a limb this day for something different near the office. So I wondered how's the beef at Due. So happy I did, among walking in to pick up my order the server knew who I was by name and took care of me. The beef: OMG SOOOOO MUCH flavor with the sweet peppers and yes I always have cheese at pizza places cause they use the best and place in pizza oven! Hot peppers and au jus on side...DELICIOUS!! Comes with a side salad! Try it!

I was excited to try deep dish in Chicago and it was... incredibly mediocre. The sauce was mediocre, the toppings didn't feel balanced, and the crust was too fatty without being flavourful. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I was disappointed for a meal I was excited for on my visit. The service was very friendly though, and the restaurant felt lively.

We had visited Florence last year, and one of the numerous wonderful moments of our trip to Italy was seeing "Il Porcellino" - the lucky bronze boar fountain that draws tourists from around the world. A copy of the boar stands proudly near the entrance of the restaurant, and though it is not as old as the original 1634 sculpture, it was a charming reminder of our amazing Italian holiday. Did I mention that the weekday Happy Hour (4-6PM) specials are quite good? The specials are served only at the bar area, so you might have to wait a few minutes for available seating. We started with some drinks, including two kinds of Negroni. The wild mushroom arancini (5 little balls for $6) were the smallest I've tried, but they were creamy and melt-in-your mouth delicious. The whipped ricotta and jam beautifully served on a strip of toasty focaccia was a unique taste sensation. Prime beef meatballs and short rib sliders on toasted ciabatta bread also hit the spot. Even though we were merely dining at the bar, we enjoyed the overall vibe of the restaurant. There are lots of photos on the walls, interesting lighting from the ceiling, nice serving dishes, and servers who seem to know who their regular diners are. It's one of those places that you find yourself talking about long after the meal is over. The garlic bread alone is worth the visit. They pour what feels like a gallon of garlic butter over it, and somehow it's still never enough. It's rich, indulgent, and absolutely delicious. We order it every single time and would probably be disappointed if we didn't. The real star of the show, though, is the lasagna. Between the two of us, we've had lasagna at countless restaurants, and nothing has come close to this one. It's hands down the best lasagna we've ever had. Perfect layers, incredible flavor, and the kind of comfort food that makes you want to savor every bite. Their Grey Goose espresso martini is also unmatched. We've tried espresso martinis all over Chicago, and this one is still our favorite. It's smooth, perfectly balanced, and the ideal way to start or end the meal. The atmosphere is another reason we love coming here. The restaurant is gorgeous inside, with a dark, moody vibe that makes it feel special without being stuffy.
