I've been here twice. The pizza is unlike any other I've had. It's simple. Great crust covered with great cheese. There is no discernable sauce. If you get a pizza with ingredients, they're sparce. This was a nice pizza joint. I got the lunch special which included a personal pizza and salad for only 11 bucks. I got the margarita pizza with a side of sauce for crust dipping. They didn't charge me for the sauce which was nice. The servers were all high school girls and they covered for each other which meant speedy service. Pizza was good and salad was acceptable. Why have I not come here for pizza! This place is doing it right. You can watch them making the pizzas and using the pizza peel to put them in the oven. I'm not sure what kind of oven it is but there's wood burning in there. The crust is perfection, with some dark spots and bubbles. The main part of the pizza is thin has a good bite to it. We picked the Sausage and Mushroom Pizza with basil. It was on the money. The flavors were amazing and the fresh mozzarella was perfectly cooked. We also ordered a caprese appetizer. It was so fresh from the tomatoes and twig of basil sitting atop. We came lunch in a weekday and maybe had to wait 5 min for a table but that was only because I can't sit on bar stools. As the appetizer hit the table, we then ordered a Mista and Pancetta (no pancetta for my vegetarian friend), a pizza and a Formaggi rosette. There was no time for pictures :) The board hit the table with a side of rosemary dusted foccaccia bread. The meats and cheeses were perfect - and I wish all charcuterie boards had such depth of flavor. My hubby chose a nice chianti to finish out the meal. The salads hit the table quickly. The Mista was good but the Pancetta salad was my favorite. Then, the pizza and rosettes were dropped off. I adore the little bites of cheesy goodness for sure and will try another next time. I was in Frisco for workshop on Monday (12/4) and the workshop leader, Nicole, planned for us to go to Pizzeria Testa for lunch. To my delight, it exceeded all expectations! The restaurant was brilliantly placed in the middle of a populated area. The design and layout was simple, yet stylish. Our server, Abby or Abi or Abbie, was very nice and took care of us well. This turned out to be a fantastic place to visit after watching movies in Frisco Square. It's walking distance from just about everything in the area. The restaurant is very lively and you can see all the pizza being made in their huge custom-made brick ovens. It's a sight to see. The service is exceptional. We were here for a birthday dinner and it absolutely did not disappoint! This is the best Neopolitan style pizza I have had in DFW from a genuine brick oven. We were seated promptly at the kitchen bar (it was packed, but we didn't mind a free show) and were served just as quickly. With the turnout, we didn't expect to get our food so fast either! From top to bottom, both pizzas were stunning, especially the Tricolore. The respective flavors worked like clockwork though one of our pizzas could have used a second or two more in the oven. The basil-infused olive oil was excellent, but the added moisture combined with slight underbaked crust made it soggy. And yet, if I received the same pizza next time, I still wouldn't complain. I really liked the layout of the restaurant and the lighting! The lighting was bright but still gave a warm, relaxed vibe. The service sitting at the bar was quick. I tried the Calabrese pizza and a glass of a cab that was on the menu. Both were really good. I loved the dough they used for the pizza. It wasn't too thick. If you have a bigger group, they have a meter long pizza option. That's different! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was the price. It was over $30 for one pizza and a glass of wine. A bit of a kick in the meat, which I love. The restaurant has a nice ambiance somewhere between cute lunch and casual date night vibes. The servers have been wonderful and they have fun little touches like actual grated parmesan cheese vs the grated powder. In Evansville, Indiana there is a restaurant called Pangea. The pizza there is amazing. We have never found a restaurant that could match Pangea until now. The pizza at Pizzeria Testa is so good and full of favor. Everything tastes fresh. Our server was so welcoming and friendly. She gave us suggestions and really knew the menu. The owner/manager came out and ask us if everything was good and cleared our appetizers plates. We got three pizzas. All were excellent. You must save room for the tiramisu. The best I ever had. I loved this pizza! It's was absolutely delicious. They even made my son his personal pizza. My almost 2 year loved it. The salads were refreshing as well. The sangria was just perfect as well. In town from Florida to see family. Shout-out to the helpful local that overheard us discussing where to eat in the Frisco Square area. We mentioned Testa's and he said, "Testa's is great. You wont regret it." Or something to that effect. Italian Old Fashioned - very nice and warm in the belly. We may both get this next time. Bellini - good, kinda sweet, not frozen like some I've had. Our helpful waiter said the sangria was also kinda sweet, just FYI. Quattro Formaggi pizza - Exquisite. Star of the the show. All the superlatives! Excellent crust, easy to chew/fold and flavorful. And the assortment of cheeses was just right. Don't remember ever liking such a "simple" pizza this well. We added some roasted veggies to half but next time we'll just ask for eggplant, zucchini or artichoke so we can avoid the red/yellow peppers. The tiramisu was probably meant for 4. Our experience started off rocky with the hostess. She was very unwelcoming when we walked in. She didn't say hello just stared at us and waited for us to tell her how many people. As soon as she sat us she just walked away without saying anything about our server. We waited for about 5 minutes before our server greeted us and got our drink orders. Food was actually very good and filling, but the service was lacking. Our server wasn't very present. Don't get me wrong, I'm a server myself so I understand if you're busy or just having a bad day.
