When we got there at 11:50am, there were 2 other groups waiting and all of us were seated right away at opening. Started with the Burrata caprese again which I loved. The Diavola pizza remains my fave and was the group favorite, although the Amore oi mari was also addicting and the special at the time (with red sauce, chevre, and arugula) was also delish. Everyone commented about how good the pizza crust was, which was soft and airy with a nice crunch. We ended with the gelato flight which included 4 flavors of our choice--the chocolate sea salt, coffee, olive oil, and seasonal peppermint chocolate. All great, especially the coffee flavor. 10/10 restaurant and would recommend to anyone visiting Flagstaff. read more

Tldr; hipster pizza place Food: The food was very burnt, tasted of charcoal, the tomato sauce was a little sour for my taste, garlic was too spicy and intense. Options were lackluster, basically they had only pork meats and their vegetables were some pieces of mushrooms and oregano. This review is strictly for the gelato. While the pizza looked excellent, I also don't really like pizza, so I'm not the target audience. The chocolate sea salt and olive oil gelati are both very good. I might even say this is the best ice cream available in Flagstaff. The chocolate is very smooth and the salt isn't overwhelming. The olive oil gelato is surprisingly refreshing for what the flavor is. My main complaint is probably that the flavors could have been more intense--both were milkier than I'd have liked, rather than being like biting into a dark chocolate bar or dipping bread into olive oil. read more

Found this gem while driving thru Flagstaff. The restaurant is small with limited seating but it's worth it for the pizza. We got two pizzas and a gelato flight. Each dish came out quickly, and you can see them making the pizza fresh in the kitchen, even mincing garlic for each individual pizza. 10/10 recommend. Cute spot near downtown Flagstaff serving up Neopolitan pizzas. Stopped by on a Thursday evening around 5pm and was met with no wait for indoor or outdoor seating. I started with the warm olives ($5.50), which were surprisingly fantastic. I'm not a huge olive fan, but it came highly recommended and nearly instantaneously once the waiter electronically put in the order. They come in a bit of garlicky olive oil and strands of lemon peel. I opted for the margherita pizza ($20.50) and added soppressata ($4). The basil was quite sparse and slightly burnt, but the rest of the pizza was very tasty. Crust had the perfect amount of chew, wasn't too charred, and the sauce/cheese ratio was good. They have red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, and chili oil upon request, but I ended up dipping the pizza crusts in the residual oil from the warm olives. Overall, friendly staff, and tasty pizza! The price is quite steep for the amount of food, especially as I polished a pizza and olives solo - totaled about $35 w tip. Paid parking next to the pizzeria, but free 2-hr parking along Cottage Ave and the streets further behind. Good place for a light meal with casual ambiance. read more

We had a terrible experience at Pizzicletta. The hostess told us we'd be seated in less than 30 minutes and would get a text if a table opened up sooner. We were waiting for the 4 seat outdoor table since we had a kids and a dog -- (there's only ONE four seats table) the group there had almost finished eating, so we waited nearby. Over 30 minutes passed with no update. When I checked back, that same table had just been given to someone else. No apology, no explanation -- just a dismissive "sorry" and a vague promise of another 15-minute wait. It was close to 8pm. We wasted nearly 40 minutes with kids and a dog for nothing. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful how they handle reservations and waitlists, especially for guests with specific needs. Never coming back. read more

Pizzicletta you finally gave me an impressive pizza in Flagstaff, AZ. I will be back for another Margherita add mushrooms soon (and maybe try some more of the menu)! We took our order to go, since we were in town a little too early in the evening to sit down to dinner, and it was still excellent heated up in our oven later that evening. The ingredients seemed great quality and the pizza making process well executed. I wish they had more salad options. We ordered the one on the menu and the greens were mostly good but there were some wilty ones. There was also a problem that the salad was a generous size but the amount of olive oil and vinegar given was pathetically stingy, so having gotten it to go we had to put a different dressing on it at home. We had also asked, albeit maybe a little late in the game, if they could put the salad's goat cheese on the side, and the takeout window staff gave some excuse as to why they couldn't but obviously just didn't really care to put the effort to check. So bottom line, I think if I do this as takeout again, salad will be made at home! read more

Post-COVID, they've reverted their seating arrangement back to a European style where you're sitting side by side and facing other parties. It's kind of cool and gives a unique vibe, though it can feel a bit awkward at times. Personally, I liked it! The pizzas here are simply amazing. This place was nestled in Flagstaff just a couple blocks from the Amtrak. The place is small, seating for the inside can fit I'd say 18-22 guest but they do have outside seating as well. The service was great, we created with smiles and given the special they had going and offered recommendations. As you're sitting there you can glance up and see your pizza being made and placed into their brick fired oven. Pretty neat I'd say. The pizza was very good, not too greasy, the flavors all worked well together and had a small bit of spice to it. We made sure and ate every bit of that pie. The dough was nice and had a bit of a chew to it and a light crunch. The rosemary focaccia was okay. I'd skip that and if you're hungry just get two pizzas, lol. They are about a medium sized pizza. One thing that you may or may not like is, there were a few flys in and around there and had to wave them away a few times but other than that the pizza was great. I took a weekend trip up to Flagstaff to play in the snow. Near the park I took my dog to, we stopped by this patio to recharge. I'd like to mention that not only was it dog friendly, it was also heated! We stopped by near the end of lunch and managed to snag the special as well as a couple beers and sweet cream gelato. The Pizza was neopalitana style, thin, crispy crust not overly topped and loved the mixture of ingredients which was satisfying yet light and fresh. The Pizza was from a lunch special for the day, it had arugula, onions, goat cheese, a squeeze of lime and topped with a soft boiled egg. I went against my lactose restrictions and had to get the sweet cream gelato, it was worth it. I plan to come back again as there was more on the menu I needed to explore. read more

Yes! Their pizzas are amazing. We got the daily special eggplant pizza, and a sausage white pizza with honey. I forgot the names of them. The taste was great, but I wish the crust was a bit crispier. We were seated at the long communal table, but it was weird because my fiancé and I were across the table from each other. The table is wider than normal tables, so it was hard to talk to each other without having to yell across the table. We finished with gelato: hazelnut and coffee. Two flavors in the cup. We worked with Miguel throughout the planning process and he was so incredibly responsive, helpful and patient with us. He was honest when he felt we were ordering too much food to ensure there was not significant waste. This is something that I truly appreciated. We chose to have several pizza options, salad and gelato. The pizza was hot, the ingredients were fresh, and our guests STILL talk about the food at our wedding- so much so that some of them stopped by pizzicletta for a second time before heading out of town. On the day of Miguel and his team were so efficient and kind. Our guests loved watching their outdoor set up with the pizza ovens, and it really added a unique touch to our wedding.
