Great little coffee shop on the waters edge and very cute. We stopped by after a long day walking around Nola. We stopped in. What a friendly staff and cute shop with seating while you enjoy a hot coffee or a strawberry lemonade which is what I had. The prices are fair and my lemonade was cold and delicious. The baked goods looked amazing but we were not hungry just thirsty. My partner had a hot cappuccino and really enjoyed it. Seating was comfy and just what the doctored ordered after 5 miles trekking thru Nola. We will stop here again tomorrow!! read more

I always come to coffee shop when I come here for work. I hate coffee but I had to work a red eye once and tried the frozen caramel granita before (before they got the Red Bulls) and loved it. It was actually pretty good for someone who doesn't like coffee. I came in a week ago and tried the Red Bull coconut blast. This was a nice delicious refreshing drink with the Red Bull. The 2 young ladies were so SO amazing! Very sweet and helped me with my choices. I wish I had PJs where I'm from but until then I will continue to come here for work! Coffee drinkers people seem to love the coffee and if you don't like coffee like me there are other drinks. Make this a MUST stop! There is a a reason why they are amazing! read more

This PJ's Coffee is situated at the corner of Decatur and St. Louis in the French Quarter and was my first introduction to the brand and began my subsequent obsession! When you walk in to the location, you are greeted by a small dining area along with the counter where all the goods are held. The pastry case holds cookies, pastries, bagels, king cakes and a few more specialty baked goods. Their menu and main focus is coffee and coffee-based drinks, but if you are after "no joe" or even an energy based drink, PJ's has you covered. I love me a good Iced Coffee, especially of the Mocha variety. And PJ's comes in clutch with their Iced Mocha and Iced White Mocha! Service was super friendly and helpful. The Barista's were helpful when I shared I was new to the brand and they recommended just the right stuff. The store was well kept and clean. Overall, I was in NOLA for 3 days, and two of those mornings were spent at this PJ's and since, I have found and visited other locations outside of New Orleans - I love me some PJ's! read more

I visited PJ's Coffee on Decatur Street in the French Quarter on 06/18/2026 around 1:11pm. I had been walking in the sun and was overheating and as a diabetic, I needed something for my blood sugar but also had to sit down right away to help stabilize my blood sugar while I waited for the long line (with only one barista working) to shorten. I pulled out my laptop and was replying to a text, fully intending to order once the line died down. An employee (who turned out to be the manager, Roy) walked up and rudely told me, "You can't sit here if you don't purchase anything." I politely explained that I was about to order and was just waiting for the line. He responded in a confrontational tone. When the line shortened, I approached the counter and calmly told him his approach was rude. He immediately replied, "Well you don't have to sit here and you can leave then." I asked for his name so I could leave a review. He refused multiple times, saying "My name doesn't matter" and "You should write a review" dismissively. Only after I asked to speak to a manager did he identify himself as Roy and tell me to leave. I have video footage of the entire exchange. This level of hostility from the manager, toward a local customer who was dealing with a medical need and planning to purchase, is unacceptable. I left feeling unwelcome, disrespected, and stressed in what should be a casual coffee shop. I will not be returning to this location and cannot recommend it. Poor customer service like this can be especially harmful for customers with health considerations, especially in a busy tourist area like the French Market. read more

Stopped in PJ's for a quick breakfast before my flight out of New Orleans. They were the only place open at 7 a.m., so I was limited. However, finding out they were only a few doors down from the hotel, I would've ditched the complimentary "coffee bar" and gone there every morning! I grabbed a large coffee and a ham & cheese croissant and sat at one of the few tables available. PJ's has several "house" coffees available and the one I tried (can't remember the name) was great. The croissant was warm, flaky and tasty with a nice slice of ham and gooey cheddar inside. Not a bad grab-and-go breakfast, for sure. read more

When I walked in was greeted by the owner PJ. He offered me an opportunity to smell his beans... coffee beans. The beans were fragrant and bright. His Dream Team Order/Baristas were friendly. Date of visit: December 22, 2024 I was waiting for a friend that was in the area taking a perfume making class and wanted a place to catch up on a little work during our time visiting New Orleans and this little shop was just a few blocks away, though I probably should have kept looking and tried somewhere else. My coffee--a White Chocolate Latte--wasn't very good and also wasn't very cheap, a small, coming in over $7 after tax and tip. Staff were just okay, the WiFi is restricted (I'm sure that's necessary in such a touristy locale) but the password that staff gave me didn't seem to work and they blurted it out so fast that maybe I missed it. They clearly didn't want to be bothered so I ended up using the H&M WiFi from across the street, which wasn't ideal as it went out every 20 minutes or so. The place itself had also seen better days, with mismatched tables and chairs and tables that were not level. But it wasn't all bad as I was able to enjoy their 90s R&B playlist while I got a tiny bit of work done with the borrowed WiFi from another store. read more

I'll start by saying the coffee was great! Fast service and correct orders on a Monday morning. The owner was there and making drinks which is always good thing to see as a customer! The main cashier working at the bar was great. She was super nice and helpful. There was one downside, and a pretty disheartening one at that. A cashier/barista came out from the hallway where the bathroom was located complaining about a customer who was rushing her while she was in the bathroom (I assume it is a one stall bathroom and thus a line was forming). What she didn't know is that the customer who was "rushing her" was my mom. I won't go further into what she said, because it's not important. I understand completely complaining about bad experiences at work. I've worked in the service industry and it can be demoralizing. I would just warn your employees not to talk about customers while at the front of the store. Even if it wasn't about my mom, it still was hard to listen to. read more

Paying my visit to PJ's in Nola, where it all started! This cafe was located on the ground floor of a hotel. They don't serve beignets, but they do have other dessert options to choose from like chocolate croissants and pound cakes. Their coffees and lattes are SOO good with their flavored syrups. I got the French vanilla latte and coffee, both of which were divine! Just a heads up, it can be pretty sweet. We tried their peach Palmer as well which was extremely refreshing. Great fruity drink. Went here for a morning coffee down the street and let me tell you the place was cute and convenient. Everything was there with croissants, muffins, sliced cake, made to order breakfast sandwiches. Right on Decatur street at the corner and you definitely can't miss with that fresh coffee brew every morning. Inside as you walk in the coffee counter and pastry counter is right at the front. And cafe is not so spacious but you can definitely feel the pride of New Orleans with paintings and drawings on the wall. I got the almond croissant and it was delish, also the poppyseed muffin was scrumptious. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because they could've swept and cleaned the tables a bit more.
