We were walking around on the last morning. We had just finished breakfast, and as good as that was, their coffee wasn't. As we left the square, I saw PJ's. We went in and ordered...large drinks. And they are LARGE! LOL! My iced latte was delicious! Wherever they get their coffee from, it's really good! Nice space too! There's some seats near the counter and a large dining room. Thank you PJ for waking us up!

This coffee place is a lot better than yesterday. First of all, you will be greeted by jolly friendly staff. 2nd, the coffee is better than yesterday. I like quality bitter coffee not a burnt coffee beans bitter. I ordered cappuccino with a shot of lavender, it came out perfect.

This PJ's Coffee is situated at the corner of Decatur and St. Louis in the French Quarter and was my first introduction to the brand and began my subsequent obsession! When you walk in to the location, you are greeted by a small dining area along with the counter where all the goods are held. The pastry case holds cookies, pastries, bagels, king cakes and a few more specialty baked goods. Their menu and main focus is coffee and coffee-based drinks, but if you are after "no joe" or even an energy based drink, PJ's has you covered. I love me a good Iced Coffee, especially of the Mocha variety. And PJ's comes in clutch with their Iced Mocha and Iced White Mocha! Service was super friendly and helpful. The Barista's were helpful when I shared I was new to the brand and they recommended just the right stuff. The store was well kept and clean. Overall, I was in NOLA for 3 days, and two of those mornings were spent at this PJ's and since, I have found and visited other locations outside of New Orleans - I love me some PJ's!

Coffee was so good!!! I had the blended mocha with soy milk. Also ordered a mocha with regular milk. They were blended perfectly. Such a nice barista and very helpful. Would go back if in the area.

Cool little coffee shop. Very limited seating inside. The coffee order was quick and tasted just as good as you want it to be. The staff was super nice

We are staying at the hotel where PJ's is also a part of. This was very convenient because we needed something quick and simple. Staff: friendly and patient. Owner: was friendly and was helping around which was nice to see Location: located at the French quarter, it's very convenient. Parking: street or parking garage across PJ's Coffee. Coffee and pastry: their coffee was delicious. I had the regular macchiato, my sis has the skinny vanilla and cold brew shaken espresso w 3 pumps of white chocolate and almond milk. We had spinach/feta and jam egg and cheese. It definitely did the trick to tie us over until lunch time. I definitely recommend PJ's Coffee. When visiting, pls read their story and how they started their franchise. Enjoy!

PJ is really nice... he let me smell his beans

When I walked in was greeted by the owner PJ. He offered me an opportunity to smell his beans... coffee beans. The beans were fragrant and bright. His Dream Team Order/Baristas were friendly. I ordered the Butter Rum Latte with an extra shot. My drink was caffeinated perfection well balanced. I will definitely try to come back for a second visit before I leave NO. Thanks again, JP for a fun experience

This is definitely the only one cold brew that tasted rich in flavor in my recent three years. I was surprised at the first dip cuz it tasted even like they used chocolate syrup! Fast service and nice staff. The location is great, just at the French Quarter, so people can easily come here to grab a coffee during visit.

    Ham and cheese croissant.

First time to a PJ's in NOL. Staff was confused and had trouble taking orders on a busy morning. Ham and cheese croissant was rock hard and cold on the inside. Appreciate they had 32oz black unsweetened ice tea.

Longer: So I was a little hesitant to go to CDM, because it's such the tourist stop and the first joint anyone mentions when they say "beignet". But this was our first stop, morning of first day. The beignets are piled in sugar, they are warm, crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft, warm and delicate inside. I gotta tell you, the texture is just a little different than Cafe Beignet, the Four Seasons, and even the other CDM in the park we tried a few days later. To me, this is the best one. Now, as a coffee person, their black coffee is strong, rich, and a good compliment to the real show - the beignets. But I did not pick up on nearly as much chicory in their chicory coffee as, say, Cafe Beignet's version. Also, I have to let you know the other location in the big park serves a non-chicory version (in addition to NOLA chicory) that is head and shoulders the best coffee we had in New Orleans. But this is the joint. As a bonus, it's colorful, has consistently great street musicians, and has lots of walkable sites as you struggle to waddle around after too many beignets. Gotta go!

The best coffee I found was at Empanola. Do not waste your time or money.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
