    Pineapple curry with tofu
    Laura M.

I've been coming here for years and they are probably my favorite Thai spot in town. The pineapple curry (medium spice) is to die for. I always get it with shrimp or tofu. The sticky mango rice is incredible as well. Great service, nice ambience, delicious food.

I've ordered from Pla Too Thai a few times because I really enjoy their mango sticky rice. This was my first time dining in and the ambiance is so cute and peaceful and the staff is so sweet. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai at a spice level of 3 and it was just perfect. Not only was the food aesthetically pleasing it tasted just as gooooood. And you know I couldn't leave without ordering the mango sticky rice which was a 10/10 like always. I will definitely be coming back.

    Summer Rolls & Golden Flowers

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town and the best Thai food in Omaha! The people who run this place are so kind. They are truly deserving of your business. We always receive wonderful service every time we visit. They go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your meal. The food is prepared and presented so well. Most of their dishes can be made gluten free. I LOVE the summer rolls. If you like authentic Thai cuisine or if you've never had it before, this place is a must try!

Minced Chicken Salad - not spicy and bland

Well just had Pla Too Thai for the first time. Wish I would have went there instead but I feel the food would have basically been the same. I ordered Chicken Larb. Which they call minced chicken. Now I asked for it very spicy. It was not spicy at all. I've been eating Thai food since I was 9 years old. Usually Larb is eaten with cabbage leaves and or lettuce leaves. There was none in mine. It usually has toasted rice powder in it and didn't get even a hint of it in the flavor. I had to add my own fish sauce and crushed Thai chilies. The Tom yum soup was pretty bland. Usually way more fragrant with lemongrass and galangal. Weirdly cucumbers in it. Strange.

Tried this place for the first time tonight. The owner of the restaurant was super sweet and attentive. Always making sure we were satisfied with the service and food. Maybe 2nd time eating Thai ever. So I'm not an expert on authentic Thai food. But it was delish! Ordered the mussel and shrimp curry with a low spice level. Super flavorful and good amount of seafood in it. I asked if I could get just mussels next time and she said yes. I also think I can handle more heat. Excited to try again. My friend ordered stir fry. She said it was good. We got the mango crab rangoon for an appetizer and the restaurant is not stingy with the filling in them. And the mango sauce ties well with it. Interior was nice and kept clean. Bathrooms were small but clean as well. They weren't busy. Which is a shame. Hope this review and other reviews give this local place more business. Would hate for them not to get the support.

    Golden Flowers!

We got the Golden flowers - So cute and yummy! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and welcoming vibe. The Tom Kah soup is amazing and just what you need on a cozy winter night. Husband got yellow curry and it was tasty. We will be back for sure!

Good food, friendly service. We ate mid afternoon on a Sunday while visiting Omaha for the first time. My wife and I both enjoyed the food.

When I eat here it feels like my soul leaves my body and starts ascending, that is how good it is. Service Um, ed, and Maggie are genuinely some of my favorite servers in the whole world; sometimes when I go here I'm looking forward to seeing them as much as I am the food. While sometimes it can be a bit slow, that is because the kitchen is taking their time for you, no shortcuts. Food Every time I eat here I think, "it can possibly get better than last time," but guess what, it does. Every thing I have gotten here has been AMAZING, for example the drunken noodles and the pad Thai, and don't get me started on the pho, absolutely heavenly. Ambience Khao Niao has some of the best ambience. Every time you eat here you can look around and find something new. They focus on a wood interior with beautifully crafted tables and archways. Along with some little fountains 10/10 ambiance Overall Khao niao is as good as it gets, by far my favorite restaurant!

Also can be nosy so not ideal if your looking for intimate vibes. It was also so busy with takeout orders as well - which I cant blame anyone for! The food tops it all! This is hands down the best thai in omaha. I have a friend that has tried many thai places here and recommended this place to me. We always go with the pad thai but definitely want to branch out next time we go. It is a little on the pricier side but thats what you get for high quality food. You also get to choose your spice level. We will continue to come back!!

Stopped by Mercy Thai Restaurant and had a really solid meal…read more Started with the fresh spring rolls -- super crisp veggies, fresh herbs, and perfectly cooked shrimp. The dipping sauce had a nice sweet and tangy balance that tied it all together. You can tell everything was made fresh. The soup was just what I wanted too. Light but really flavorful broth, plenty of herbs and green onions, and comforting without feeling heavy. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the overall vibe was relaxed and easy. Great local spot when you're in the mood for fresh, flavorful Thai food. Would definitely come back.

Honestly I was really disappointed with Mercy Thai…read more The chicken wings were completely flavorless. They literally just seemed battered in panko and fried with no seasoning at all. 0/10. The crab rangoons sounded good from the description -- cream cheese, crab pieces, onion, and carrots -- but they were WAY too sweet for my taste. Not to mention there were none of the ingredients described inside?! Seems like it was only cream cheese and sugar. Then the sweet chili sauce that came with them was super watery and just made it worse. 2/10 overall. I also tried my boyfriend's drunken noodles and... mid at best Definitely not something I'd come back for. Maybe other menu items are better, but based on what I tried, I personally wouldn't recommend it.

I do love pad thai itself, but I unfortunately did NOT love "I Love Pad Thai" the restaurant…read more We ordered it for delivery when we were working one day and couldn't make it out for lunch/didn't have time to make lunch ourselves. I know everywhere is better if you eat it inside, but if they offer delivery, I think that it should be about on par with what you get in the restaurant (because they certainly charge the same or more than dining in). This either was just not great from the get go, or it lost a LOT of quality in the delivery time. I don't think that's the case, because a delivery time doesn't make most of the food almost FLAVORLESS. Cold, maybe - but flavor doesn't vanish from it being delivered? So if you couldn't tell, we were not fans of almost anything we received. My Pad See Yew was literally flavorless. It tasted like WATER was used for the "sauce" on it. The chicken in it was also very stringy and dry. My husband got the Pad Thai, which did have a little bit more flavor, with the peanut sauce, but not a whole lot more. The only saving grace was the fried dumpling appetizer we ordered. Those were tasty and the dipping sauce they came with was good (it said it was just soy sauce but it wasn't super salty like soy sauce, more sweet). At almost $50 for two entrees that were basically untouched because they were so dry and flavorless, I would say order elsewhere or dine inside so you can gauge what you are getting in person.

For the price, my portion was small and the chicken had a rubbery flavor. And it was very greasy!…read moreToo bad it's in a great location.
