I got to say I loved this gym for what it was but in January 2025 I had hurt myself and became disabled. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In February 2025 I had called the club to ask to cancel my account. Letting her know I couldn't even walk to come in and cancel. She explained they would handle everything and if I would like to come back I would be allowed to re-instate without having to re-sign up and pay another fee. I even thought I would forgo asking for compensation or a refund. I joined at another location but my co-worker suggested we go to this location because it's less crowded and clean. She was right! [[HIGHLIGHT]]And (mostly) friendly staff. Ladies seem too[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] distracted by their own issues and distract the male staff with their issues, too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No one should watch the staff so involved in their conversations instead of noticing someone at the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Changes: My only wish is for it to be cooler (more airflow) and had at least 2 of each machine. I love this place, it's always clean and repairs are made quickly. I was frustrated when they reduced their hours, but they've returned to 24-hour Monday-Thursday. I am a member here for almost three years. I liked the new equipment and friendly staff. But for the last month cleanliness suffers a lot. There are many teens who workout here for free, and 80% of them never wipe down equipment after use. Seems they think that they don't sweat. Also many treadmills as well as hip abduction stations stay in out of order for weeks. I would like the management to remind all the members here to wipe down and clean the equipment after use, and do the maintenance of the equipment so it will be in working state. Shower walls are not cleaned. Same loogie and other brown marks (afraid to know what those are) still there after 12 days! Right at face level. The music they play is way too loud. My phone and ear buds are turned up all the way and I can still hear the horrible music they insist on playing even though 90% of members use ear buds. Young teens just hanging out in the locker room taking pics of each other. There when I got there and still there 60 minutes after my workout. Pay a little more at a classy gym. read more

I like this location. But unfortunately I won't go there at night time. My car was broken Into twice. There is no cameras that point out to the parking lot. The parking lot is dark so you can't see your car yet from the parking lot the windows are like a fish tank. The criminals can clear as day watch you go in, see you on the machines and hit your car while you are working out. Since I go after 5pm to the gym I need to go to any other local planet fittness besides this one. Cameras would help or teaming up with other businesses in the parking lot to have security patrol the lot. If you come to this location after dark treat parking your car there the dane way you would in San Fran. Take valuables with you and basically leave the window rolled down so they don't break your windows to investigate read more

We scheduled a session with a trainer so my wife could get a workout regimen set up - adjusted our gym schedule to accommodate trainers schedule - a week in advance. Arrived 30 min prior...only to be greeted by the trainer who has to cancel due to an in-house promotion...asst general manager. Therefore he was unable to fulfill his role as trainer...at a pre-scheduled time!! No phone call - a bit unprofessional... I love this gym! I've tried other planet fitness locations but this one is always my favorite! Recently moved to Rancho area but still may make the commute. I had some problems with my account and the GM Phillip went above and beyond to really help me out so I can get to things squared away and back in the gym. I really appreciate stuff like that because a lot of places won't help you out and go the extra mile for you but he really did so I had to come and write a review! I came here for a one day free trial that I signed up for online. I was surprised I wasn't offered a tour especially since the website said it was mandatory. I wasn't even pointed in the direction of the locker rooms or told any of the gym rules which I thought was odd. But I was amazed at how clean this gym was. Machines were spotless, no dust built up, no dried sweat, no equipment thrown about. There are stairs, treadmills, ellipticals, tons of cardio options. Dumbbells, fixed weight barbells, 3 smith machines, cable machine with tons of handle attachments, a few kettlebells, tons of different weight machines too. They even have an area for a 30 minute circuit workout too. The locker rooms are beautiful and spotless. The changing rooms and showers are awesome too. The most privacy I've seen at a gym locker room. Tons of cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer throughout the gym. I saw multiple employees cleaning as well. They play music but it's not obnoxiously loud. And there's many TV's but they're all set to a specific channel that you can't change. For me, I wanted certain equipment, like a barbell, and heavier weights than what they offered. But overall it's a really great gym for a great price. read more

Even though I've been paying dues for about four years (I started on the Sunrise CH location before San Juan opened closer to home). That said, it's only been the last month or so that I've been really going daily or at least every other day. Even with signs about mask requirements, whenever I'm there at least half the people look like they don't even own one. I don't blame them for not wanting to confront anyone, but it kinda sucks that it's so relaxed. Up until a week or so ago, all the machines faced the same direction, meaning that you could actually watch the TVs and see the info screen with time, etc on it. They switched it up, and I was told this was done by a higher up regional person, so that the machine weights were all parallel. So now not only are machine closer together than they were before, but some of them gave each other and many don't even face the TVs anymore. Nothing like doing a row machine while staring another person in the face while they do leg curls. I guess I get why they did it, but my workouts are far less enjoyable, and I've noticed I'm going every other day instead of almost every 24 hours. No one gave a crap what side the weights were on and they removed a walking path from the entry/locker side down the middle of the room but pushing machines together. I'll probably still go, but these little things add up. read more

I am a fan of affordable health clubs. I am a black card holder and I love all the perks that come with the BC. The staff are very helpful and friendly and very accommodating. I prefer to go in the later evening so there is far less people. Nice, small gym everything is clean and new. Staff very friendly. Lately more people at the gym are there not to exercise, but to sit on an exercise machine and text/read their f**kin iPhone and of course tying the machine up for those of us that are there to actually workout. I'm not sure what Planet Fitness can do about this....maybe walk around the gym reminding members what they joined a gym for in the first place. Hey management, you have signs "no judgement zone" how about a "no text/read cell phone zone" while working out? Frustrating....if this gets worse I'll start looking for another gym that encourages its members to exercise instead of texting. read more

I live closer to Citrus Heights but honestly I will drive a bit further for this gym.. I know it's NEW but staff is amazing , friendly, the equipment is new (obvi) and it smells like a brand new home .. I love love love how bright it is here, I also am obsessed over the size of the bathrooms , you could have a dance party if need be.. I also like how they have separated the 30 min and the stretching and added the equipment unit inside there as well.. There's about 50 treadmills The black card guests have this separate room you walk through these big glass double doors and it really makes you feel special at least the $22.06 sort of special.. Planet Fitness is GREEDY! All I wanted was my refund of $15 from the Month of March due to the Covid situation. I talked with the manager of the location I was working out at - Club #09979, to see if I could just get my refund instead of the free month from June 17th to July 17th because due to their new hours (6am-9pm , Mon-Fri) I wouldn't be able to make it up there, due to MY Schedule. I would usually go around 11pm or Midnight OR the WEEKEND. Which is why I (& I'm sure most of you) enjoyed the 24 hrs. The manager & employee I spoke with said they do not give out refunds but to talk to corporate to see if they could help but, OF COURSE, they don't give a sh*t & are just as greedy & unhelpful. I understand it's ONLY $15 but that's MY $15 from MY bank account! I will never go back to Planet Fitness again & I wouldn't recommend to ANYONE! read more

I went in before my renewal to cancel my membership. I asked specifically if I would be charged another month since I cancelled before my bill was due. I was told as long as I cancelled it before the monthly charge was due I would not.Fast forward a week and I see that the monthly charges were taken out of my account.I called up the Planet Fitness and the guy starts talking in circles telling me a completely opposite story of what his coworkers stated the week before. instead of reversing the bogus charge, he just continued talking in circles, basically saying too bad. I don't care if it's only $21 a month.Its the principle of the matter.Clearly this Planet Fitness has no integrity in doing what is right. The gym is what it is when you put in that work persay. Witnessed 2 female gym employees drive past my house with a kid that's been starting unnecessary drama stemming from April 2023 of this year because I interrupted the kid talking with a stellar gym employee named Tim. To be stalked outside of the gym has left a bad taste in my mouth as the kid points me out to staff members as well as those who use the gym. If the kid wants a real problem. It's not hard to protect yourself in this society. To keep pointing me out to others makes me feel as the kid wants to keep that drama going because he doesn't know what can happen. To the 2 female gym employees to be stealing personal information for personal gain is how companys get sued. Glad to know who's who. Besides those two incidents the gym is pretty clean and the majority of the rest of staff are nice individuals. Its not hard to do it. read more

Here is why I am giving four stars: -location to my house (right across the street). -this parking lot has very little traffic, great parking always available. -the gym is never super busy, there are always plenty of machines available. -clean! Hope it stays that way. -price of membership is great, nothing around here beats the price. -value of the facility- you get a lot for your money. -wide variety of cardio and strength machines available. Free weights as well. -the hydro massage and body enhancement machines are awesome! -welcoming colors and signage in the gym. -large, accommodating locker room. Here is why I withdraw the 5th star: -front desk staff inconsistent. Some are friendly, some aren't. -staff stands around the desk talking some of the time. I absolutely cannot stand that. It feels really awkward to walk to to the desk and have 4-5 employees stare at you. Would rather see the staff actively working around the gym -would be nice if paying more for the black card membership included more, such as a spa or sauna in the black member rooms. -not very many drinks or food available for purchase. Just the basics. -also, I find it strange that you provide free pizza once a month. I love pizza as much as the next person but I am trying to become more healthy. Most people coming here are trying to lose weight or live a healthy lifestyle. You also have candy at the desk. That can be a trigger for some people too. Why not consider choosing healthier options for your customers? Overall it's a good experience and I do enjoy coming to the gym here. I am very excited this location opened up. read more

My wife and I go to this gym all the time. Customer service is great here and it is always clean. It's especially a lot cleaner than other gyms I have been to. We really like this location, as it is well lit inside even at 1 am which is my husband and usually work out do to our schedules, they have some equipment that the other locations don't have, the layout is way better at this location, especially the massage chairs and beds. I'm a black card holder and I really like this gym. The staff are always helpful and nice. The equipment is clean and I rarely see machines out of service, unlike other gyms. I like that gym is not crowded and the restrooms are clean. Although if I had to nitpick, one of their TVs keeps flashing black every few seconds and it makes it really hard to enjoy the programs. This has been an issue for a few months and the TV still hasnt been fixed. read more
