    I am writing this review from the parking lot of Planet Honda so you can understand my frustration of my experience. I have a 2011 Honda Accord coupe that takes a specialty tire. I caught a nail in my tire and it had to be replaced. Fine, $200 for a single new tire, however they don't stock this tire so it has to be ordered. Which means that I'm without my vehicle over the weekend until next week. I was told (and I'm sure they sell ALL potential customers) the fact that for any reason you are inconvenienced where they have to keep your vehicle, you would be offered a loaner car comparable to your purchase. Expecially when you buy the extra protections or such. Long story short that is NOT the case according to Steve in the service department. Yes I was given a "loaner" car that was a bottom basic car that has NO similarities to the vehicle that I am paying for! First of all, I'm not happy that I'm stuck with a vehicle is a complete and total downgrade, but to make things WORSE, they give me a vehicle that is FILTHY! There were candy and potato chip wrappers all over the car along with crumbs and other things I couldn't even identify. I have pictures. I'm inconvenienced in multiple ways due to the fact I don't live close to the dealer, plus the tank is almost empty. Way to treat a customer who has a choice to take my business elsewhere. In a nutshell, I was given a dirty car with no gas. I shouldn't have to drive all the way BACK TO THE DEALER which is so far away JUST to complain until they decide to clean the vehicle. That should be common customer courtesy!! So I learned a lot about my dealer today. Once you buy a car and drive off the lot, the "king customer" treatment is null and void once they get your money. Everything they sold you on as far as perks DO NOT EXIST. To quote Steve "we don't HAVE to do that". Fine. So I'm letting POTENTIAL customers know the TRUTH as it's been told to me so they are aware. BEFORE writing this review I gave planet Honda EVERY OPPORTUNITY to resolve this situation whereas I FIRST voiced my dissatisfaction to Steve. He told me to talk to a SALES manager, in which I talked to some guy named "MOÑEE" and some other lady. Though the both "seemed" concerned, they both eventually blew off the opportunity to address my concerns. The lady even went so far to insult my intelligence by "offering me restaurant coupons" for my inconvenience. Well she left and NEVER returned. Go figure... No one can say they were unaware of my dissatisfaction PRIOR to this review. I let them know that if I was to write a review on my experience, being honest about it would not be a positive one. However it is my HONEST experience and they dropped the ball. AS A CUSTOMER, I have a choice to take my business elsewhere and for now on I will do so based on this experience. I encourage others to do the same to save yourself from the frustration that I have to feel leaving this lot right now.

After several days with limited communication, we were told that diagnostic testing identified a coolant sensor issue as the cause. Based on that explanation, we approved the recommended repairs. On February 3, we were informed the vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. We paid $1,180.55 before receiving the keys. However, immediately upon starting the vehicle in the dealership lot, it continued shuddering and shut off. The tire warning light we were told had been repaired was still on. We had to leave the vehicle as it was inoperable. The following day, we were told by the service manager that a full inspection had not initially been completed. Shortly after, the diagnosis changed to a transmission issue with an $8,000 replacement quote. The invoice indicates that no post-repair road test was performed before the vehicle was released to us as "repaired." The original issue was not resolved, and the vehicle remains inoperable. We encourage others to ask detailed questions, request written confirmation of repairs performed, and confirm that a post-repair road test has been completed before paying and leaving the lot. We feel completely scammed by this dealership! Stay away.

I'd say that part of the service is top notch. For at least a year now, every time I schedule any particular maintenance, whether oil change. Tire rotation, etc, which I schedule 2-3 weeks in advance, I'm harassed by the salesman Erik Garcia, or the sales minions at that dealership, "that it's time to upgrade." I always explain to them, "I'm a happy customer" or "you sold me a great product." Which is very much true in regard to the actual vehicle. A little over a month ago, I scheduled a routine oil change. As expected, I was bombed with text messages or phone calls about upgrading my vehicle. Each time, I explained, not only do I live on a fixed income of disability, but I'm also in chapter 13 bankruptcy and cannot get new credit without permission from my trustee. I also explained that with two years left to pay on my vehicle, I'm very happy with it. But of course after persistence, I did consider upgrading, only after I reached out to my bankruptcy attorney for guidance. My lawyer did explain a deal could be made. I didn't reach out immediately after that to the dealership. But they did reach out eventually, as they were ultra persistent on trying to make a sale. Over the phone, I explained, what do you need from me? Because I do not want to go into the dealership to waste my time. That process is the worst, if you ever experienced that. Erik said "I have everything, we just need you to come in and pick a car." I wasn't convinced about all that, and so I told him, I'll email you anything you need, salary, bank statements, driver's license etc. He then says I'll text you my email after this phone call, send me pay stub. This was at 2pm or so, with the idea, I'd be in the dealership at 6pm. I went to the dealership, meet with Erik. I filled out references, gave him my license so he could make copies. Gave him information on how I earned a living and other pertinent information. Then, for the next 75 mins a waited at a cubicle, no updates, no responses, nothing. The one thing I never wanted and would not agree to, was to waste my time! And sure enough, it happened. I walked out unannounced and without incident. Never received a follow up from Erik or the dealership. I texted Erik, plus another phone number associated to the dealership "Alex", about what happened. Got a response a day later from "Alex", who I don't know, apologizing and that they would reach out with numbers for me to consider a deal. I've yet to have heard from any of them with numbers. Here is the text I had with them the evening I left. Not a great sales experience.

I contacted a few dealerships and they were all booked for sometime to come. However, I called Hawkinson Nissan and told them of my dilemma and I asked for assistance ASAP, they told me what time to arrive, I did it, they fixed it... That very day. Jason, in the service department was exceptional! He was very professional, kind and very attentive. The issue was resolved and I was out the door in a good amount of time. So, I asked if I could bring my sisters car and Jason said if I brought it in early next morning, he'd have me in and out ASAP. Done deal! thanks Jason! Lastly, I also stopped by for the first time a few days earlier before the 1st service job to see if they could take a look at a key fob that wasn't working properly. Joel, (see pic) in the retail parts, simply changed the battery and 5 mins & $6 later, I was out the door. Thanks Hawkinson Nissan!

    I took my 2017 Nissan Altima in for a tune-up. Came out with an air-bag light that would not go…read moreoff. A potential costly predicament that I found myself in. An aggressive staff (Jeremiah) that refused to clarify why he did not point out that the air-bag light was on when I first brought the car in (because it was not on) but like a faulty robot on the following day kept repeating that I should buy a new car. This surely revealed why my car has been tampered with. This out-dated tactic of messing up a car that starts out needing a tune-up and ending up with a massive repair bill after an intensional "throwing a wrench into the works" so as to sell Gerald Nissan's new cars will not work with me.

After multiple visits and ongoing back-and-forth, the issue was never properly resolved. When I finally got my vehicle back, the driver-side door was working--but now the passenger-side door, which had no prior issues, no longer opens. At that point, it doesn't feel like a repair--it feels like the problem was simply shifted. Equally concerning was the lack of accountability and urgency from the service team. When you're paying for a service, you expect resolution--not a new issue. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location. Fixing one problem by creating another is not service--it's negligence.
