Thank you Eric McGee for the excellent assistance in helping me find the perfect vehicle at Planet Honda! I went in feeling a little unsure on which way to go but Eric gave me all of the information that I needed to make the best decision for me. We will def be returning to purchase our daughters vehicle soon! Thanks again! Wendy L

I am writing this review from the parking lot of Planet Honda so you can understand my frustration of my experience. I have a 2011 Honda Accord coupe that takes a specialty tire. I caught a nail in my tire and it had to be replaced. Fine, $200 for a single new tire, however they don't stock this tire so it has to be ordered. Which means that I'm without my vehicle over the weekend until next week. I was told (and I'm sure they sell ALL potential customers) the fact that for any reason you are inconvenienced where they have to keep your vehicle, you would be offered a loaner car comparable to your purchase. Expecially when you buy the extra protections or such. Long story short that is NOT the case according to Steve in the service department. Yes I was given a "loaner" car that was a bottom basic car that has NO similarities to the vehicle that I am paying for! First of all, I'm not happy that I'm stuck with a vehicle is a complete and total downgrade, but to make things WORSE, they give me a vehicle that is FILTHY! There were candy and potato chip wrappers all over the car along with crumbs and other things I couldn't even identify. I have pictures. I'm inconvenienced in multiple ways due to the fact I don't live close to the dealer, plus the tank is almost empty. Way to treat a customer who has a choice to take my business elsewhere. In a nutshell, I was given a dirty car with no gas. I shouldn't have to drive all the way BACK TO THE DEALER which is so far away JUST to complain until they decide to clean the vehicle. That should be common customer courtesy!! So I learned a lot about my dealer today. Once you buy a car and drive off the lot, the "king customer" treatment is null and void once they get your money. Everything they sold you on as far as perks DO NOT EXIST. To quote Steve "we don't HAVE to do that". Fine. So I'm letting POTENTIAL customers know the TRUTH as it's been told to me so they are aware. BEFORE writing this review I gave planet Honda EVERY OPPORTUNITY to resolve this situation whereas I FIRST voiced my dissatisfaction to Steve. He told me to talk to a SALES manager, in which I talked to some guy named "MOÑEE" and some other lady. Though the both "seemed" concerned, they both eventually blew off the opportunity to address my concerns. The lady even went so far to insult my intelligence by "offering me restaurant coupons" for my inconvenience. Well she left and NEVER returned. Go figure... No one can say they were unaware of my dissatisfaction PRIOR to this review. I let them know that if I was to write a review on my experience, being honest about it would not be a positive one. However it is my HONEST experience and they dropped the ball. AS A CUSTOMER, I have a choice to take my business elsewhere and for now on I will do so based on this experience. I encourage others to do the same to save yourself from the frustration that I have to feel leaving this lot right now.

After several days with limited communication, we were told that diagnostic testing identified a coolant sensor issue as the cause. Based on that explanation, we approved the recommended repairs. On February 3, we were informed the vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. We paid $1,180.55 before receiving the keys. However, immediately upon starting the vehicle in the dealership lot, it continued shuddering and shut off. The tire warning light we were told had been repaired was still on. We had to leave the vehicle as it was inoperable. The following day, we were told by the service manager that a full inspection had not initially been completed. Shortly after, the diagnosis changed to a transmission issue with an $8,000 replacement quote. The invoice indicates that no post-repair road test was performed before the vehicle was released to us as "repaired." The original issue was not resolved, and the vehicle remains inoperable. We encourage others to ask detailed questions, request written confirmation of repairs performed, and confirm that a post-repair road test has been completed before paying and leaving the lot. We feel completely scammed by this dealership! Stay away.

Today, when I came in to use one of those oil changes, I was told there is no record of it in their system. To make matters worse, the sales associate who originally helped me is no longer with the company, and it feels like that's being used as an excuse to avoid honoring what was promised. This situation makes me feel completely misled and undervalued as a customer. Promises made during a sale should be documented and honored regardless of staffing changes. Very unprofessional experience, and I would strongly recommend future customers get everything in writing before finalizing any deal here. Better yet avoid this place at all cost. Go to McCarthy ford the do better business and even better ppl.

My complaint is the dealership tried to rob me of $500. When they finished they gave me a bill for $500. I asked the nice lady behind the counter whether this was covered under my warranty. I was told no. Then a gentleman named John, I think, took me in an office and told me the same thing. The warranty doesn't cover sensors, he told me. I was sent back to the counter to pay. The dealer that sold me the vehicle informed me I am covered with a 60,000 mile/5 year warranty. I was currently under 29000. While waiting I Googled it and yes I am covered. This finally convinced the counter lady to talk to someone in the back. She came back and let me know that yes, my warranty covers this work. That was taken care of, but my concern is the dealership was going to charge me $500 for work they know is covered. That's like stealing and not good business. How can I trust Hyundai now? I am on my fourth Hyundai vehicle and have always been happy with each vehicle and the service, until now. I was being taken as a fool, that's how you treat your customers? I will never go back to this dealership again. I might not want a Hyundai as my next vehicle either. If you go there, don't let your guard down.

I contacted a few dealerships and they were all booked for sometime to come. However, I called Hawkinson Nissan and told them of my dilemma and I asked for assistance ASAP, they told me what time to arrive, I did it, they fixed it... That very day. Jason, in the service department was exceptional! He was very professional, kind and very attentive. The issue was resolved and I was out the door in a good amount of time. So, I asked if I could bring my sisters car and Jason said if I brought it in early next morning, he'd have me in and out ASAP. Done deal! thanks Jason! Lastly, I also stopped by for the first time a few days earlier before the 1st service job to see if they could take a look at a key fob that wasn't working properly. Joel, (see pic) in the retail parts, simply changed the battery and 5 mins & $6 later, I was out the door. Thanks Hawkinson Nissan!

If you are thinking about buying or financing a Nissan from Gerald Nissan, please read this first…read more I am paying a significant amount to finance what was supposed to be a dependable, nearly new Nissan. Yet the transmission failed at approximately 1,300 miles. Yes -- around 1,300 miles. A transmission is one of the most major components of a vehicle. I never imagined I would be dealing with a transmission replacement this early in ownership. Before this, I had already dealt with the stress surrounding hail damage and frustrating communication about the vehicle, and now I am dealing with an even more serious mechanical failure. The electronics and radio could still turn on, but the vehicle itself became something I could no longer depend on. That is an awful feeling when you are still responsible for a substantial monthly finance payment. What has disappointed me just as much as the mechanical failure is the level of support afterward. When a customer experiences something this serious on an extremely low-mileage vehicle, I would expect the dealership and Nissan to immediately focus on transportation, communication, customer safety, and a meaningful resolution. Instead, I have felt like I have had to repeatedly call, explain the same situation, ask for assistance, and fight to be taken seriously. A transmission failing at roughly 1,300 miles should not become the customer's burden to chase everyone for answers. Gerald Nissan needs to seriously think about what customer loyalty means after the sale. Selling the vehicle should not be where customer service ends. I wish somebody had told me before purchasing: The real test of a dealership is not how nicely they treat you while selling you the car. It is how they treat you when that car develops a major problem. Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend Gerald Nissan. I will update this review if Gerald Nissan and Nissan ultimately step forward and provide a fair resolution. Until then, anyone considering spending their money here deserves to know what my experience has been.

They said yes it was there and I could see it the next day at an appointment I made. I get there and the sales person that I made an appointment with wasn't there nor was the vehicle. Wasted my time but not a deal breaker. I told them what I was looking for with a few choices of trim levels and colors. The new telluride was just rolling out so I was willing to be patient and come back when they arrived. I was contacted a few days later and they sent me a text with the exact model I wanted and promised it was there at the dealership. It had name on pre sales sheet so I went back to do the deal and my salesperson shows me two completely different vehicles, not the invoice they texted me. Another bait and switch. I settled for one that I didn't exactly want but had a nicer interior. I was good with it regardless of the bait and switch. The agreement was to throw in the floor mats and cross bars, and I'd pay sticker. I ended up paying for the all weather mats even after they said they'd include them because I was already on the invoice, instead of crediting me the couple hundred dollars. Then I had to go back over a month later for the cargo mats and the cross bars. I get there and there's no cargo mats, only the cross bars. Ugg. Later I went to install the crossbars myself and it didn't fit. They ordered the wrong one. So I had to go back and switch it for the right one, meanwhile they shipped me the cargo mats. It was like pulling teeth to get this simple task right. i honestly felt like i was on a prank YouTube video or something. There's a reason this dealership has bad reviews. It's best to just be honest with customers. And if a mistake is made that's okay but as an act of good faith offer something to make up for it, not double down and manipulate and gaslight the customer after going back on a deal.

When you're paying for a service, you expect resolution--not a new issue. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location.
