I'm addicted to this place! I always buy something when I stop by. They have really good stuff in great condition, also I've sold to them quite often and they offer a fair Price for the clothing. I don't see much negatives of this place, only for people who want more money for what they wanna sell. if you think you're in a get lots of money for clothes that were high AND used and probably older let's be real, you get half or quarter of the pricing they buy from, let's be real here. Worst customer service! When I tried to sell to this store the employee was horribly rude. They bought a few items and gave me a fair price which was probably one of the few right things they've done. Their employees really need to be taught service standards. They never greet you when you walk in, they can barely break up their personal conversations. Today when I came in I found the floor a mess with stained and worn items on the racks and a bunch of merch on the ground. Did any employee actively try to clean? No three of them were off gossiping in a corner. Plus there are signs about shoplifters everywhere which is fine but they have super unprofessional sayings on them which makes me think this store must be run by a 16 year old. Go to the corona location much cleaner space and a friendlier more professional staff. Hope that this store improves. read more

I have taken my clothes here multiple times to exchange them for cash. Sometimes I get good money back for my items while other times it seems a little unfair. None the less I tell all my friends to go here for extra cash and they have as well! !!!!Last time that I went I took in some accessories & bags as well. Normally when I take clothes I don't really remember exactly everything I brought. But this time I specifically brought two bags one being a coach and the other a Steve Madden. I also brought some jewelry that I placed in multiple different zip lock bags. Anyways I went back in and they bought a dress, a shirt, a pack of rings, and another article of clothing. I got 11$. When looking through the rest of my items after I left I realized my Steve Madden bag & two chokers weren't in there. I went back a couple days later to ask about my items and get them back thinking it must of been an accident. The lady told me that sometimes that happens and she would call me when they found them. A week later never got a call so I called back today. The lady was nice that answered but she said my items were not in the pile of stuff left behind. So I said ok but I don't have them & you guys are saying that you don't either but I never got them back?? She said she understands and that she was sorry and could give me a 5$ store credit. I at first told her sure but honestly I don't want the store credit because first off my items are worth more than 5$ to me & I don't want to let them think that they can fix it by giving me that because it is not okay for them to be taking things they are not purchasing. The reason I am a little frustrated is because I have no idea if they have taken extra things before without my knowledge because when I bring in two bags of clothes I don't go through them all after to ensure I got everything they didn't buy back. Tldr: they took items without purchasing them & told me they couldn't find them. Tried to give me 5$ of store credit. I didn't take store credit because it's unacceptable to take extra items and I am unsure if they have done it in the past. read more

This store is alright. It's organized well for the most part and clean. However, the clothing items are way to over priced for what they are. I saw many clothes with holes,stains, and plain worn out that were priced way beyond value. You can find brand new clothes for the same price or cheaper at other stores. I will say their denim offers a large choice and I was able to find 2 pairs of Hollister shorts for a decent price. Probably the only thing I'd ever return to buy is the jeans, but judging from other reviews I wouldn't attempt to sell anything. read more

Came in Saturday morning at 10:30, the majority of the staff here is pretty friendly but I had an encounter with the associate Riley and she was a complete b word. Not only was she super rude about handling items when allowing you into the fitting room, but she was incredibly rude and when exiting the fitting room told you to put the clothes back or snatched it from you. She had an attitude with others the entire time and I think that's just not right. Came in here to buy outfits for Coachella and I must say I fell in love with the store and the workers. I did not have a good experience. I dropped off two bags of clothes to sell and was told about an hour. I shopped around for a bit but that wasn't pleasant. There are too many clothes so everywhere I went it was a struggle to get through and actually look at clothes. Also, two main racks were blocked because their line goes between them so you couldn't look at anything. They need either a bigger unit or less items so make it more pleasant. I waited over 10 in lines to purchase two things and only 2 girls were helped in front of me and I still have three more girls to go so I put my clothes aside to pay for them when I came to pick up my clothes I was selling. When I came back an hour later, one of my items was gone and the girl was very reluctant to help me so I couldn't get it. I paid for one item and they would only buy two items (a beanie and a summer hat) and game me $4! That's it out of two large bags full of American Eagle, Charlotte Russe, Mossimo, Full Tilt, Tillys, etc. Super disappointed that I waited so long and had such a headache trying to buy stuff to only make $4. Even more annoying that I wanted to buy a dress and the dress had what looked like oil stains on two different spots on the dress plus a third yellow stain in another spot. I also saw tons of Nikes and Vans but they were in such bad shape. Like beaten up and filthy. I wouldn't pay $1 for them so I was shocked to see what they were willing to sell but wouldn't buy my clothes which were in excellent condition and some even still had tags attached. If I could give them no stars I would. I have never been treated so disrespectfully. All of the people who work there are rude, except for one sweet girl sadly she has to work for such a horrible place. Even the owner is completely rude she did not care that her employees were treating me this way. The owner said "good" when I told her what her employees were doing. Do not go here they are run by people who over charge you for clothes you can get a lot cheaper from the actually store the clothes came from. And I waited literally 45 mins just to try on one pair of jeans because they do not control their dressing rooms. This is sad to say but I'm treated better at Walmart then this place. I don't understand how they are even still open. Do not shop at this store, especially a store run by girls who are between the ages of 16-18. I started shopping at Plato's a month ago and I go in a couple of times a week because that's just how quick the turn over of items are. Definitely a first come first serve basis but thats what makes it interesting. There are hidden gems within the racks and if you look long enough, you'll score big time! The staff are always helpful, and always friendly. They have GREAT prices and quality of clothes. I see that the only reason why they don't have full five stars are because of miscommunication on returns but then again why would you want to return something that's basically 70% off ? I've been here twice to sell clothes the first time it was mostly my husbands old clothes. There were vans pants, g star, and other designer clothes that are barely worn and they didn't take anything. They told me they weren't in season even though it was winter time and it was nice men's pants. The next time I went I waited because they told me it wouldn't be long. I watched the lady I had a bag of cute ladies clothes. Crop tops, cut off shorts, over the knee boots, American apparel pants, high waist urban outfitter jeans, etc. I made sure that I bought stuff in season and still considered popular. The girl took one shirt from the top, and didn't even look at past the things on top. When I went up when they were done they said the clothes weren't in style anymore. SHE DIDN'T SEE WHAT I HAD IN THE BAG. I won't recommend this one at all they didn't even have good clothes they were selling. I won't ever go back. read more

This location has some pretty awful clothing options. Multiple times I have come in the look around and a good amount of the clothes have pin holes in them and no better options that I could fine at the goodwill/Salvation Army (for a MUCH lower price!) I won't be going back. I had such high hopes but the Temecula location should find more picky buyers or something. read more

only come here if you're not there to sell. staff will stare at you, brought in a large basket full to the brim and they bought a few things. some things weren't even looked at but whatever. it's funny that they think they're so cool and trendy but in reality they post the ugliest/hardly in trend outfits on their instagram. i get it's hard to keep up with the fast paced trends but sorry y'all kinda suck and the clothes you buy and sell aren't appealing and i'm part of the target demographic. i'm a huge thrift store fan but the stuff they sell here would probably appeal most to millennials, not teens. they really pick and choose what to buy, and i truly believe it's 90% based on brand names because hey, look it's brandy melville, it's probably from 2017 but look the brand is trendy. it's mostly cheaply made clothing that is overpriced for no reason. cmon that forever 21 tank was probably around $10 and you're selling it for the same price. nice. read more

I waited two hours for them to take a look at all the items and I walked out with $2 in my hands from one clothing item that they bought from me. I really would like to give this place five stars but I just can't. It is a very cute store to buy clothes, etc. the prices are a bit more on the pricier side for a thrift shop but I guess that's fine. I also would not recommend selling your items here because I took in some clothes and they looked exactly like all the other items being sold in the shop yet they only bought three items and paid me $10 in total. I went on poshmark to sell my clothing after and got way more out of it than this place. I did like how they would tell you exactly why they did not purchase what you brought in but at the same time it just wasn't good enough for me since I saw the exact same items in their store being sold. So why couldn't mine be bought..? But other then those minor things it was a nice little shop to look around and possibly buy a few gems. read more

I always love finding cute and affordable clothes here but I was a bit disappointed with my recent experience. when I had seen advertised on their instagram page that they accept clothes and offer cash in return. I had messaged the account and they sent me the link regarding the process on how it works! I gathered my clothes together probably close to 30 or more items including brand new holister pants, champion T shirts, forever 21 shirts, etc. However, when I went to the Temecula location I turned over my bag of clothes and waited for my message telling me that they have been sorted through and they are ready for me. As I returned they had only chose 3 items and offered a lower amount of cash than expected and had told me that they're not accepting many items due to their excessive amount of clothes already. No where is it advertised on their account or in store that they are overstocked and not accepting much, which is very misleading and it was overall poorly communicated. I would not recommend selling your items here with the mindset of getting more than 20$ for items you can sell your self and get so much more honestly. read more

Don't go here. The cashier who was a male was ringing me up took forever to type in my card which i thought was strange and suspicious at the time but didn't say anything. Next day, my bank calls me saying there has been fraudulent activity on my card and someone tried to make a false card and use it at a Target in Riverside. I bought a couple items from the location last Saturday on the 18th and was informed by the cashier that just in case nothing worked out, I would have 7 days to return the item. I then returned Monday the 20th to return one item as it was too short. Went to the cashier and she was nice and helped start out the return, but occurred a problem and had to call over an associate. This blonde girl with tattoos then came over and said that they just did inventory yesterday and that any items before that were not in the system anymore and couldn't be returned. So basically, you tell me I have 7 days to return and I come in a couple days later to return, and all the sudden your store policy isn't effective? No where on the receipt or anywhere around the store on flyers does it state that after inventory, items are no longer valid for returns. I stated that to the girl and she kept saying the same thing over and over again. And lastly stated that the only thing they could do is buy it back from me for only 30-40% of the price I paid, what a joke! Poor business practices and very rude workers with little knowledge on what to do with issues like this. Do not go to this store at all, they will not help you in any way and overprice items. read more

I had a bag of clothes I wanted to get rid of And thought I'd check this place out. They make you sign a waiver and told me it would take 15-20 min for them to go through it. I said cool and went to Costco for an hour, came back ready to pick up my bag, and one of the girls gave my bag away to another lady. I had to wait for the lady to come back to the store and then the employee telling me sorry, I said it was fine. Then they told me they didn't like anything in my bag, and I said not a problem. Took my stuff and got home... and now I'm looking through my bag and noticed a nice Abercrombie & Fitch flannel is missing. (So either the thrift store took it, or the lady that mistakenly got my bag did) Disappointed in the fact that I trusted to attempt to make business with this company and them not being professional or responsible. I would think with dozens of bags coming in your way (that possibly look the same) you'd be more careful. Mad at myself I didn't check my stuff first. Wont recommend this place to any one. read more

There's a HUGE difference between "What we buy" and "what's in style." The website gave a list of many brands that they are willing to buy but obviously don't follow that. I brought in some heels and clothes that were brands listed and waited 2 hours just to get everything back. The lady working said that they couldn't buy anything in style. Complete waste of my time. I go here so much and I always bring clothes in and buy clothes. The wait time is usually an hour or two depending on how much clothes they have to go through. I recently brought in two bags and one bag was tightly wrapped closed (garbage bag) and I wait one hour. They want to buy one thing for 2$ (Which I had bought for 30$). They told me you gets 30% of what it actually costs. Anyways, they didn't take anything and I noticed that the same clothes that were at the top of the bag were still at the top of the bag and it didn't even look like they opened the bag. 80% of the clothes I brought were bought from Plato's. I had off the shoulder tops that were in style that they were looking for which they didn't take and the bag look like they didn't even open it. They bought one bag from me which was sitting at the top of the other bag. I don't think they go through the clothes like they used to. I would always get at least 20 or 30$ whenever I brought in two bags. read more

I went to go sell some clothes and they literally made me wait an hour to only take a few items. People have places to go. We don't have time now a days. The stupidest part was they weren't even busy at all. I don't see the point in making a seller wait for all their stuff to get looked at. We're what literally make platos closet and there is wait times ? I've been to multiple stores that buy clothes and they ALWAYS look through your things in front of you as soon as you come in. If you guys are sticking with this little "waiting list" at least make it by appointments. No one wants to wait. On top of that two of my bags didn't even get looked at because I could tell the girl was feeling my impatient vibes. So she lied to me and said she looked through it all when literally a minute before she told me that I went to take the "looked at" bags in my car. You can't go through two big bags of clothes in the time frame of me going to my car and coming back inside the store. I was parked right outside. Any place that makes the customer or seller wait is a no go for me. read more

A friend had told me about this place so I took my 13 year old daughter there to check it out. We got there before the store opened so we got to window shop and were so excited when the doors opened. The place was cleaned, organized and smelled good. We took 2 bags of NAMED BRAND clothes and were the first ones in the door. After looking through the store, my daughter found a few items she wanted to purchase while I waited for the "buyer" to look through our bags, When the "buyer" finally signaled me that my items were ready, They bought NOTHING! I don't believe she even went through all of the clothes. I was in shock that they weren't interested in ANYTHING we had in the bags! She told me that some of our colors were not selling and then went on to tell me that my daughters jeans were not trendy and twice tried to hand me their "trendy" card and suggested that I could go home and go through my daughter's closet and bring back trendier things. I was disgusted at this point. I explained to her that while shopping I found clothing that had stains on it and she replied that the "buyer" must have missed it... Really? We had better stuff in our bags then some of their stuff on the racks. I stood there in shock. Of course my daughter put her items back and we left. I would also like to add that this "buyer" was NOT dressed trendy nor did she look trendy and we wondered why she was the one making the clothing decisions for this store???
