What's the point of paying for swim lesson if they keep canceling class and they only allow you to make up one class between sessions. The staff in the reception area can't tell you if there will be make up classes. The coach who teaches the class can't confirm. They all direct you to the swim director. There should be some better communication there.

I was greeted by a nice young lady, wish I could recall her name. She was studying to be an accountant! She let me have a day pass since I was considering moving to the area. The website had a free pass for visitors. The inside had two floors and had tons of equipment. Being a gym rat for most of my adult life and an amateur bodybuilding competitor, believe me when I say this place has plenty of equipment. I did not have time to see everything but very clean! Friendly folks even at a busy time of day as well. I spoke to several members and the monthly rates are very affordable If you're in town or new to the area, try this for your workout. Having grown up in a military family, I enjoyed seeing how they incorporate that into each workout as you "fall in line" and have a battle buddy you pair up with (in this case, my Army veteran Father-In-Law)! Everyone was so supportive as we worked through each round. The leader was motivating and encouraging throughout the whole workout. Not only do they have this massive space for the workout, but they also have a gym to workout in, separate from the classes.

Laura and Tom (Managers and owners) run an amazing gym and still address most of the members by their first names. The staff which includes Coleen and Alicia are super friendly and extremely helpful. Anytime Fitness offers really good group classes and Ken is a great trainer who is willing to walk you thru various exercises regardless of your workout level. One of the most impressive things about this gym is the fact that is beyond meticulously cleaned and sanitized. Even prior to Covid the cleanliness at the gym was impeccable and it almost appears that management and staff have taken it up a notch. Don't let the size of this gym fool you (it's not THAT small though!)...during peak times there are more members but that's is the case with ALL gyms...although it's never been an issue for me. They have such a great variety of equipment & this is the first AF location that 1. Asked members what new equipment they wanted & 2. Actually purchased the equipment! They have a a good amount of classes. They have plenty of trainers. My last location told me they didn't have time for me, so I like that there are several trainers available. And something else I really love about this location is that it is CLEAN!!! Not only do they do a great job in making sure all of the equipment is where it is supposed to be, they have people cleaning the floors, equipment, etc all of the time. You get what you pay for, if you want to go to the gym whenever you want, attend free classes, workout with a trainer ($), friendly staff, and have a clean place to workout, this is your gym.

Many variations of "pride gets in the way of progress" and "it never gets easy" seemed to be a common response. I love that! Gold's Gym keeps wrongfully billing us, long after we cancelled our memberships…read more We cancelled our memberships after they closed the 1051 W Patrick St location. I have the original contracts, and the documents confirming our cancellation request. Almost a year later, Gold's Gym is still trying to bill my credit card. Do not join Gold's Gym unless you want a crowded gym where you can hardly move and/or want to deal with their shady billing practices!!!
