10/10 all around great restaurant. Cheap food that took 5 minutes to receive once we ordered (only two of us) and it was a Friday night. We had about a 15 minute wait as we were right around 6:30 on a Friday. The place offers complimentary chips and salsa (per usual), but also offers a special dip included. Clean, modern place to hangout for food and drinks, highly highly recommend.

can't describe my disappointment, Plaza Azteca?? More like Plaza Blahteca. Living directly across the street, I was hugely excited that a Mexican restaurant was opening so close. I went there this afternoon. The decor is nice. The walls remind me of a high school cafeteria. The waitress brought us chips, salsa, and some sort of sour cream/ranch dip. The salsa was excellent. I'm not a fan of the other. Chips have no salt. We ordered the chicken fajitas and the Enchiladas El Jefe. After the waitress brought our food out, that was the last we saw of her. Terrible service. The chicken was super bland. I mean, absolutely no seasoning. Refried beans were terrible. The meat in the El Jefe dish was so bland and dry. I think the cook left it in the pan 10 mins too long. I was expecting a great Mexican restaurant and instead got a version of Chipotle. Someone definitely needs to tell the cooks to use seasoning. Nothing about this place will make me come back for more food. One and done for sure. The people leaving this place 5 stars have clearly never eaten authentic Mexican food.

Very loud due to the open kitchen design. The fresh hand made guacamole at the table was expensive but truly worth it. The rest of the food was above average. I had the chicken fajitas with flour tortillas. They were good full of flavor and arrived quickly after ordering and sizzling hot. The refried bean were not good and had a different taste to it. Service was great very attentive for being so busy. Avoid the booths when making reservations. They are extremely uncomfortable and the tables are super close to the booths and I am not a big person.

Food, Service, and Marg was excellent! I had never been here before but will go back when in the area.

I'm not sure how this place isn't 5 stars. I'm picky and this is the best meal I've had in a long time!

Order was messed up, the water dropped hot salsa on one of my party members. They didn't even take some of the price off.

Busy place. Crowded and noisy. Food was tasty. First time ever couldn't eat it all and took some home. Will try again.

I'm not…read morementioning this to brag, but as a way to show I've had Indian food throughout the United States so I think I have good idea what to expect. Having resided in Sioux Falls for about 2.5 years, I've found that food here is typically well prepared with fresh ingredients and served as I would expect. The strange thing is, there's almost always a distinct lack of any standout flavor: everything is there, it all tastes good, but it's not exciting or distinct. And so it goes with Indian Oven. There is a lot to like here and my rating is more like 3.5 stars. I just can't give it 4 stars. The portions are generous so you are getting a large amount of food. The entree I ordered arrived with rice which I appreciated. Service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant occupies the former Urban Chislic location so the decor inside looks much like a modern sports bar and that's fine - it's reasonably modern looking without being overwhelming. I think if I'd never had Indian food before I'd be very impressed. However, like I mentioned before everything looks and 'feels' accurate and yet the food always tastes like something is missing. I ordered Vegetable Samosa and there were good - the pastry seemed accurate and the filling was good. It was served with the usual sauce/sides as expected. The Dahl Makhni (beans) arrived at a very hot temperature which I did appreciate. The naan bread had a pleasant, chewy texture which I liked a lot. I can only give three stars because of the overall taste/flavor. I don't know if food in the Midwest is just intended to be 'flat' or 'polite'. I enjoyed everything I ordered and since I am a big eater I finished everything ordered - that alone should tell you it was good. Overall, it is a good place to eat and the food was accurate for Indian food. I just wish it was more flavorful and interesting to taste.

Hello! I had such a great experience at this establishment that I felt morally obligated to report…read moreback to the public. First off, the vibes? Immaculate. The second you walk in, it feels like you accidentally teleported to a place where happiness, chips, and salsa never end. I don't know what they're putting in that salsa, but I would confidently invest in it financially. Now let me get to the part that absolutely rocked my world. I kid you not--I started a stopwatch (for scientific purposes, obviously) the moment our server walked away after taking our order. From that exact moment... to food physically arriving at our table... was 5 minutes and 17 seconds. Five. Minutes. Seventeen. Seconds. I've waited longer for a microwave to finish a Hot Pocket. I was actually concerned. I looked around like, "Did they already know I was coming? Is this premeditated? Am I being monitored?" Because there is simply no reasonable explanation for that level of efficiency. The fajitas were still sizzling like they had just come off a volcano, so I know it wasn't just sitting back there waiting for me like a reserved parking spot. The food? Incredible. The kind of meal where you tell yourself you'll stop eating after one more bite... and then 14 bites later you're still negotiating with yourself. Overall, between the speed, the food, and the atmosphere, this place has officially earned a spot in my personal "I would come back here even if I wasn't hungry" category. Thank you for your service, your speed, and whatever time-warp technology you have going on in that kitchen.
