    Jose omelet
    Brittney L.

Found this whole in the wall and was not disappointed at all. Maybe some changes should be made with a dish, but the service there was amazing and they were super sweet. Came in on a Monday morning and luckily no was there. It is a bit of a small location, but very homey. The Jose omelet - 9/10 my husband ordered it. It has spinach, mushroom and bacon. He substituted the mushrooms for onions. he absolutely loved it. super friendly with the portion and of course he ate it all. His one complaint was the hash browns. He didn't like how mash potatoe-y they came out, but I loved it - LOL. The Greek omelet - 7/10 I loved all the ingredients in this omelet until I tasted the olives. They use pizza olives instead of kalamata olives. I 100% think that if they used kalamata olives instead, it would have been a great omelet. It came with sausage, tomatoes, feta and asparagus. And of course their hash brown was also a fav for me too. Overall: 9/10 The experience with the staff was really great. They are super sweet, fast and on top of everything. The food was really good too and would I come back again to try more, of course I would.

    Crab melt and salad

My friend and I went to Plaza Cafe Monday for lunch. She had the crab melt with salad and I had the tuna melt with sweet potato fries. Both of us thought the sandwiches were delicious! Her toss salad was large and very fresh. My sweet potato fries were very good. There was so much food we had enough leftovers for dinner. I think there was an owner change but food and service were so good.. we'll be back to plaza cafe soon!

Little place tucked in the corner of the plaza. Service was great and a great deal for $14 lunch 1/2 sando and salad. The sandwich wasn't a stand out or anything. I'll be back to try breakfast!

I love finding hidddn gems like these. We came here for brunch after my birthday massage. It was delightful. I ordered the crab avocado toast. It was so yummy. Lots of flavor and texture. I do wish they put more chunks of crab in it, but I am grateful for the pieces I got! There seemed to be more avocado than anything. The hashbrowns were great, crunchy and soft on the inside. My husband ordered a breakfast chorizo burrito which was also really good! We love how the tortilla taste fresh and crunchy. Would definitely order that again! Service was great. We were taken care of the sweet attentive employees there. This cafe is a true small but quaint cafe. I prefer coming to places like these versus big trendy spots.

I think this is now called Han cafe, but they kept all the signage the same from when it was Plaza cafe. The food was alright. This is our second time coming here, so it's not terrible but it gets the job done. I got an eggs Benedict. The hashbrowns could be crispier. I went with a friend and they got an omelette which came with toast. Toast was a little on the burned side, which is weird because the hashbrowns weren't as crisp. They do get busy, but things move pretty fast. Also, it gets hot inside, so they'll open the door but the breeze is crazy! Dress in layers just in case.

The Kyu's Scramble on the menu really piqued my interest. The description was "Ground Beef, Jack Cheese, Spinach, Mushroom & Onion", and also "Served with Hash Browns & Toast". It was priced at $15.50 as of Feb 2024. Egg price has been ridiculously high so I did notice and understand why they increased the price. My plate came to me looking amazing. The scrambled eggs were perfect - firm but not dry. And the whole dish felt very hearty with good sized beef chunks. The inside was a bit tight and slightly claustrophobic. But the service was good and staff were nice and friendly.

I used to come here with my mom. It's still the same great food. They have the best hash browns and fresh squeezed OJ. I always order the good morning burrito without the tortilla. Tell Teresa I said hello! She's an amazing waitress.

I have eaten here before but I can't believe I forgot to do a review of this place. I was going for lunch today with a friend and I knew I wanted to order a Benedict. Florentine is my favorite, so I am happy they had this on the menu. The service was pretty attentive and it felt like a "ma and pa" feeling behind it. Eggs Florentine: The key to a Benedict to me are both the poached eggs and the Hollandaise sauce. This place hit both for me. The eggs were poached correctly and when broken, it did spill all over the English muffin, spinach and Canadian bacon. The sauce itself was superb and flavorful, perfect for me. The hash browns were alright, though could be a bit crispier. Overall though, I really enjoyed this meal and look forward to coming back again.

Food and service is excellent. Teresa is a superior server. Great menu. Food is plentiful. My new favorite breakfast Café! We'll definitely be back.

We stopped here for breakfast based on the great reviews. This is a small, no frills place. Our server was nice and food came relatively quickly. My hubs ordered a basic breakfast with bacon and eggs. His first choice was linguica but they were out so bacon it is. I could tell the bacon seemed fatty and was not crispy at all. I ordered the eggs Benedict. I couldn't really taste it since the sauce covered the entire thing. Unfortunately the sauce did not have much flavor to it and it overwhelmed my entire dish. The hash browns were nice and crispy. Overall it was okay, I'm not sure why the reviews were so high, I was left underwhelmed and will not be coming back unfortunately.

Ancient ketchup bottle that they refill, which Heinz discourages.

We opted to not sit outside, rather inside right by the exterior seating to still get the vibes but also some AC. I love places like Lafayette where all the businesses support each other and help each other grow. Their brews on tap are mostly all local, and we grabbed some Pilsners sourced from Lafayette's new brewery, Western Flyer. So fresh and crisp. Can't wait to also check that spot out. Food-wise, we came in mid-afternoon and grabbed a Kale Pancetta salad (they pre-split the salad for us on two plates which was so nice), and for the mains, we both grabbed the Tuna Melt with fries. The salad was delicious. I'm def a tuna melt girly, and I loved the addition of the ciabatta (?) as the bread option, so fresh as well. This tuna melt comes with grapes fyi, and a few other elements mixed in. I absolutely loved it, just sharing though as I know how some tuna stans like their tuna :) This spot is clean, spacious, and perfectly situated in walking distance downtown. Would love to come back for brunch with a group of friends, or even again during the upcoming Lafayette Art & Wine Fest. Food is good, service is quick and friendly, and vibes are right. Metered parking located across the street.

I'm glad it did because she said there were a lot of people waiting outside at the PH location. By the time we made it to WC, our tables were ready. I was expecting maybe smaller oysters for the deal but no ! They were big creamy fresh oysters that you'd get any other day but for a dollar ! It's only for Sunday Monday while supplies last ! Wences you guys will be seeing me more often . We also tried the seafood grill which comes with salmon halibut scallops prawns topped with a creamy lemon sauce . Grilled veggies and polenta . First impression I was skeptical of the polenta because it looked like corn bread but you take one bite it melts like butter in your mouth . So creamy . The flavor amazing ! Fish was cooked to perfection . I would have liked the sauce to have more of that lemon in there but nothing a squeeze of lemon yourself can't fix . The citrus habanero scallops .... Were also cooked to perfection . Not chewy at all . A little underwhelming with the flavor description though . There was not a lick of habanero or any spice whatsoever or citrus . It was a very sweet sauce . Wasn't bad just not what was described my only complaint . And being they come by themselves maybe six instead of four would be nice ?? Besides that there are soooo many things I'm excited to try from the menu . I think my next choice will be the lamb chops !!! Waiters are always supper friendly and I'm not sure if it's the manager or owner but he too is always around when I come and is very attentive as well always checking and conversing with the customers . You know it's over cooked when the tentacles have to be spit out and the body parts aren't chewable. Beet salad wasn't bad. Generous chunks of red and golden beets at the bottom, topped with arugula, a quarter sliced avocado and some candied nuts. The flavors were solid. The mussels were good with a little kick.
