The atmosphere is very nice. Plaza Mexico did a nice job decorating this new location; however, good decor doesn't mean good food. I was extremely disappointed. I know Mexican food. I lived in Mexico for 10 years. The food at Plaza is very bland, with very little authentic flavor. I compare it to a "Mexican" Bob Evans, if there were such a thing. Old people food. Plus, it's overpriced for what they give you. Two tacos for $10 with no sides. $15 enchiladas without the traditional rice and beans. Outrageous! We've been to the restaurant three times and have been somewhat satisfied. Here's the issues we have; first of all your first impression is your hostess and every time we have gone there she is not friendly she doesn't smile and she makes you feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I'm sorry but this is your first impression of your restaurant. A hostess's job is to greet people and to make them feel welcome into your establishment. That's her job! I ordered a quesadilla to go and it was horrific! I was so disappointed it did not come with any sides it was supposed to have with it and it was folded over like a giant taco and not even cut! The service has been extremely slow and our server one time did not even know the menu we asked her a question and she could not answer it. Perhaps some additional training would benefit your business. The food as a whole is good but we have found very inconsistent especially the salsa. read more

Just tried this place today and it's great. They have good food and good service. The only thing I didn't like was the salsa because it was very watery. Have eaten here twice. Once dined at the restaurant and once had takeout. The food was awful both times. I can only suggest going for drinks. The food is inauthentic and has no seasoning other than an over abundance of salt. They give you "queso" rather than real cheese in many dishes. Queso is simply a white, Velveeta-like cheese food product. Also tasteless. Chicken and carnitas are so salty, we could not eat them. The tortilla chips were fried in old, rancid smelling oil. We also ordered a tres leches cake. One of the "leches" was cool whip. Not even real whipped cream. Yuck. The quality of food here is subpar, at best. Skip it. read more

Beautiful restaurant with seating outside also. Plentiful menu. Jessica was our waitress and she was VERY good. Explaining menu items and offering to modify dishes if preferred. If I could put a zero star I would. Came to Spring Hill to visit family ordered about $100.00 worth of food from this place and it was the worst choice I ever made. We decided to order online and have the food delivered. The food took extremely long to be made, the restaurant pushed back the time for about two and half hours . Once we received the food it looked dry. I ordered a quesadilla with chorizo it was dry and old, the first bite I took the meat tasted old I immediately put it in the garbage. My mom got tacos which was dry as well and had a odd taste. my aunt and uncle got the chicken fajita which looked like a large taco and was small compared to quesadillas. They felt the food tasted old as well. My boyfriend got a chicken quesadilla and said it had a odd taste. The next day my mother had diarrhea and bad stomach pains as well as my boyfriend. My boyfriends was so bad he went to the hospital as soon as we got home and the dr said it's from the food. My mother and boyfriend are still currently sick and it's been about a week. I pray they close this place down. The owner should be ashamed to have a establishment this bad. STAY AWAY read more

One of the most unique Mexican Restaurants we have ever been to. The menu is wide with many selections we have never seen anywhere before. And very fancy and unique drinks. Prices are on the higher side. We have been there 3 times this year. The first 2 visits were very good. This last time the service was a little off, with our food taking almost an hour and was not hot. I think this was a server problem leaving our food sitting in the kitchen way too long. He also made a few other mistakes with the order. Previous service was excellent. We will go back again. read more

My husband and I went for an early dinner and would have to say the restaurant was nice inside and the bathrooms were clean. Waiters and waitresses were very friendly and we were served quickly probably due to the time we were there. But that's where it ends. This is not an authentic Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurant as far as food is concerned. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, and there was no flavor in anything other than the guacamole. My chicken was dry and rolled up into what appeared to be a corn tortilla, which was thick and had been placed probably on the grill to warm up but the oil from the tortillas tasted rancid. Dried chicken was the only thing in the tortilla, no cheese no sauce no nothing. There was cheese melted on top that when hardened looked like mozzarella. The Verde sauce on top had such a strong vinegar taste. The salsa that came with the chips had no flavor and tasted much like canned tomato sauce. The refried beans were bland, and not to mention the so-called special on the rocks margaritas. There wasn't any alcohol to speak of in it, which they said, was patron, and still charged us a premium. My husband had the combo enchiladas and beans and his was the same. I wish we had read the reviews prior to going and we will not be back. Pricing is also on the high end. read more

Been here a few times and they have yet to get my order right. Last night was the worst ever though. Got there right at 7:00 and we were seated right away. Busy but not crazy. Waited 15 minutes before I went to the hostess stand to ask if there was a server assigned to our table. A couple of minutes later a guy with a face full of piercings came over and told us he had too many tables and was working too hard and not making any money. With that attitude I wonder why. We placed our drink order and after another half hour one of my table mates went to the bar to see where our drinks were. Our waiter was at the bar so he asked him where our drinks were. At first he wouldn't say anything. He was asked two more times but just stared at my friend. Finally he said, "I'll put your order in now". 45 minutes and still hadn't even ordered our drinks. We got up and walked out. Not going back there until I know that POS is not working there anymore. read more
