Outdoor seating and small matcha latte to go.
    Johanna S.

This place has a very relaxing atmosphere. Their Matcha Latte is absolutely delicious. They offer non dairy options too. I always have mine with coconut milk. There is plenty of indoor tables and they are super comfortable overlooking one of the pools. The outdoor seating is really nice overlooking the ocean. Very friendly staff. They have a few food options and pastries too. You must either be a resident or hotel guest to access the cafe.

The service was prompt and very friendly. Ordered the avocado toast, a Mocha and a bottle of their home made watermelon juice. Everything came out in a timely manner. You order and then take a number to your table so you can enjoy the view instead of waiting at a counter. The avocado toast was loaded with plenty of sliced avocado and mixed field greens on top. Based on all of this it was a five star experience. The only thing that could have dropped the score was the price. Over $50 for one person having a light breakfast is a little high. It is South Beach and you're paying for the location and ambiance but it still seems a little over priced. I will be back though because it's so convenient when you are in 1hotel premises and don't have to go out on the street to get a bite.

Tucked away behind the gym of the 1 Hotel you find this health food spot. Yes, it's the 1 so it's expensive, but you can get table service sitting outside overlooking the beach and it's true vacation feel. The food is quality and the service is good. I had an açaí bowl and my friend had the avocado toast for brunch because we're #basic like that. Coffee drinks are good too but way overpriced for a tiny little cup.

I am a Floridian so coming to South Beach is a bit of a miss for me. The crowds, the traffic, the money not my thing. However, for work I came to Plnthouse for a solo lunch. If I could skip the hassle of getting to South Beach I'd eat here everyday. It was a vegetarian lovers dream. I could almost everything on the menu and I plan to at some point. U had the margherita pizza and it was delicious. The crust was thin and light. The waitress did offer the cauliflower crust but I needed the real carbs. This was the ideal lunch. A rooptop view of the beach or one of the hotels pools. You had to journey through the gym to find the restaurant but that made me want to stay at the hotel. The guests and waitress were very nice. She offered me sweets and coffee so kuddos to her on the attempted upsell. The restaurant feels like a swanky greenhouse. Grab your sunglasses, long boho dress and a good friend (or book) for a lunch at plnthouse.

Our first morning in Miami, we were walking to the beach and saw roughly 743 people that were in better shape than me that silently shamed me into wanting a smoothie for breakfast, when normally I would've eaten a bacon egg and cheese or something else normal. So we popped into Plnthouse, the most precious and adorable healthy cafe you've ever seen. It's inside the One Hotel, which makes sense because everything they do (here and in Brooklyn) is precious and adorable (I mean that as a compliment, seriously). Long story short, we got ourselves some smoothies. I rocked the Green, because drinking a salad is easier than eating it, and she went with the One Acai. Both were fine, but I think the latter should be named something else because it could easily confuse things if you are trying to order different quantities of smoothies. I want to hate on Plnthouse for being expensive. Because really, it shouldn't cost $27 or whatever for two small breakfast drinks, but then I realized that EVERYTHING in South Beach is almost this expensive, so we can pretend these are normal prices. What isn't normal? How sloooowwwwwww it can be to get a smoothie. And the fact that the nearly $30 small breakfast drinks aren't amazing. Even if other places are as expensive, you still need to justify your prices. Get it together, Plnthouse.

Love love love everything about this place. The location is beautiful and the food is so yummy! If you sit outside, you have an snack get view of the ocean. Inside the place is beautifully designed and decorated. I had their avocado toast and a skinny piña colada. It is a self-service place. Only thing that bugged us a little bit is that it seems like the cashiers had a bit of an attitude over us tipping " only" 10% which is the norm for a place with no table service.

$14 for a tiny cauliflower dish

I came here earlier this year and loved it. It was a Matthew Kenney institution and served amazing, delicious, healthy vegan food. Sadly, it is no longer vegan and only has a few vegan options and the website/marketing doesn't advertise the change. Now it serves burgers, eggs, and mediocre quality food. You cannot keep the name Pl(a)nthouse and serve animal food - it's entirely misleading. Worse yet, the staff has no idea what is vegan or vegetarian. It took 20 minutes to order because the staff could not tell us what was vegan versus vegetarian. The manager kept trying to tell us that the margherita pizza (listed as V for vegan) was vegan (not vegetarian) even though there's mozzarella cheese in it. Even their smoothies aren't healthy (not a single green smoothie of any kind). I ordered a cauliflower sweet potato dish that was tiny and $14, and clearly the cauliflower hadn't been washed because I got grains of dirt/sand in my mouth. I don't like to leave such negative reviews but given how successful the One Hotel brand is, it's ridiculous that they can't improve this restaurant's quality and service, update the marketing and website, train staff, etc. The only saving grace is that it's a beautiful space with outdoor seating overlooking the beach.

Ahhh.... this is such a neat place at the pool at Hotel 1. It has tons of health food ... vegan and vegetarian and as the name suggests, PLNT based items. They have pressed juices and AMAZING flatbreads! Those and the coconuts are the best, I think! My very favorite part is the guy who takes orders in the afternoons with the man-bun. He has greatest attitude ... and it's contagious. Every time I leave there I'm smiling and I know it's because of him. Thanks Plnthouse for making my day in so many ways!

A $9 "blueberry" muffin with zero blueberries

I bought an $9 blueberry muffin that had literally 2 single blueberries. So I paid $9 for a plain bland muffin. Yum.

Bullet proof coffee, Nespresso and ground.brain healthy creamer.(definitely get a portable frother! Does not dissolve easily.)

Supposed to be good for you, jury is out on that, but taste good, very smooth coffee. I purchased a medium dark roast, next time it will definitely be Dark roast. I love a full, rich, earthy coffee. This grind is a little too smooth for me but that doesn't mean it's not good.

Five stars for a coffee shop inside a gym inside a hotel. It's a coffee shop that offers a few food items. The bowls and smoothies are delicious. I have the Pitaya bowl and the Anatomy bowl. Both were great, but the Pitaya was so good it was like a dessert. The Anatomy is more nutty. Super cute space acorn with plants. The latte I had was so great. Would definitely be back before I leave the hotel.

Delicious (but relatively overpriced) acai bowl.
    Gwen C.

Overpriced, but delicious. I had the acai bowl and the coconut cold brew. The coffee was definitely a highlight, despite the fact that it cost $6 for a small cup. Not thrilled that 18% gratuity was included when the wait staff seemed to have a very hard time getting us our order, despite the place being completely empty. Everything tasted great, but just a little too overpriced-- you definitely pay for the ambience. I do enjoy the variety of options that they offer, as well as distinguishing on the menu what menu items are gluten free, paleo, etc. It's expensive because you know it's quality!

    Amanda M.

I was really shocked to see a few average reviews on here because time and time again I find myself longing for their pastries and I consider making the hour drive just to have some! I stayed at the 1Hotel for a week and since I'm vegan this was really the only place for me to eat in the hotel without having to bother the waiters/waitresses. With that being said I had basically every item on their menu. The chickpea soup and their pastries were by far my favorite choices. The chickpea has a curry taste and was so thick and creamy... it was delicious!!! The coffee was also good and you get to chose what type of plant based milk you want to have (A VEGAN DREAM COME TRUE). The ambiance and decor was 10/10. It truly was the perfect match with their name and message: plant based everything. It's beautiful and the sun beams through the vast amounts of floor to ceiling windows. VEGANS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY THIS CUTE LITTLE SPOT

    Terrible dish,no flavor,no sauce,dressing at all.

We stopped in mid-afternoon for a late lunch and were greeted right away. The hostess offered patio or indoor seating and thoughtfully let us know there was active construction nearby that would make the patio pretty noisy the entire time. That honesty was appreciated, we chose to sit inside so we could actually enjoy conversation. The space itself is beautiful, quaint, colorful, and perfectly in tune with that relaxed Miami Beach, art deco vibe without feeling overwhelming. It instantly felt like a calm beachside escape. When our server came over, I asked about gluten-free options. The menu had an indication of gluten-free options available but he went a step further and explained they offer a gluten-free bagel-style bread substitute, which made navigating the menu so much easier. I ordered the avocado with poached eggs (served on the gluten-free bagel thin), and it was incredible. The eggs were cooked perfectly, yolk bursting just right, and topped with fresh arugula and herbs that made every bite flavorful and fresh. Presentation was just as beautiful as the taste. My coworker had the grilled cheese and fries and loved every bite as well. Food came out quickly, everything was delicious, and the experience felt easy and thoughtful from start to finish. Huge bonus: they serve brunch-style options all day until 4pm, which is perfect when you're traveling or craving breakfast at unconventional hours. Finding a spot like this in the heart of Miami Beach on a Wednesday afternoon felt like a win. We would absolutely come back!

The reviews that I read after my bad experience with this place confirms that while the food is good but overpriced the service sucks because the servers are getting the gratuity anyway. Happy hour clocks in at $12 for food, $12 for all house cocktails, $10 spritzes, and a flat $6 for all beer, which in Miami Beach feels almost suspicious in the best way possible. I kept it simple with an ice cold Peroni while my wife went for the Giardino 75, a gorgeous little spritz built on Empress Indigo Gin, St. Germain, mint, lime, and prosecco. She loved it. The color alone was worth the ten bucks, but it actually drank as good as it looked. Not saying I'm unhappy at all with my career, but most people who know me also know from early on I aspired to become a renowned chef. Limitations at the time didn't make that possible, but the culinary arts remain a core part of who I am. Entered how impressed we were last year with the Miami Spice menu that on the spot I selected Stubborn Seed as the venue for my milestone birthday. Enter a process, meal, and aftermath made to the horror model of movies like Sinners. Let me start with the reservation. I booked in October 2025 to ensure we would have the place booked for my birthday. At the time we had a placeholder menu which we would adjust closer to the date. I was told then the 6 course menu would not be available. Closer to the date I saw on the website the 6 course menu was indeed available. In reaching out to the team member who took my reservation and contract, she told me the 6 course menu was not available on Fridays. From what you can see in the pictures, it was available. Then we wonder why Miami gets the reputation it does,.. ...finally we settled on the 6 course meny after all. My party showed up and we had a great time. Most courses were really solid. Notable was the first course, the cured Ginger & Citrus Cured Japanese Yellowtail. Everything kept moving in a definite crescendo until the let down of the main course. The Koji Marinated Lamb Loin was better billed as the "mini loin" as it was indeed incredibly small. I considered summoning Avenger level superpowers to reduce my people in size to the Wasp to make this work somehow. Unfortunately I don't possess such superpowers. If only. But that was not all. Wait for it... ...There was not one single acknowledgment by anyone in the restaurant staff about my milestone birthday. Not a thank you for selecting us. Not a mention by the manager or anyone on the staff. Not even a gesture during dessert. Even the most elegant of restaurants do something. Even a plated decoration acknowledging the occasion would have sufficed. I wasn't asking for Longhorn Steakhouse staff type of fanfare but something would have been adequate. Nothing. But wait, there's more... ...when settling the check I mentioned I had prepaid for the 10 tasting menus ahead of time leaving on premises consumption for payment on site. At the restaurante they looked into it and came back with that the prepayment was never charged. Given I was with my guests that was neither the time nor the place, so I settled the bill with the intent on checking this later. I did and they had indeed double charged me $2,000. Needless to say I had to bring this up to them including opening a dispute with my credit card after days went by without a follow up on where my refund stood. No offense ladies and gentlemen, but this mistake should have never taken place in the first place... All in all, not even they have the power to ruin what was one of the most memorable evenings of my life. Why? because I was surrounded by some of the most amazing human beings who took time to share this birthday with me. I love them and am grateful to have them in my life. That was the main event. The hopes was having a similar amazing experience with the meal at Stubborn Seed would be the icing on the case. It was not. Fortunately for me they didn't add anything, but more importantly, they didn't take anything away. That said, since Michelin doesn't judge a restaurant for portion size or service, I thought I myself would take something away - the veil on a restaurant that is evidently self indulgent and does not and will not care about you. You are not the star, and you never will be. Recommendations: Read "Unreasonable Hospitality" by Will Guidara - you may learn a bit just the the title itself, more if you crack the book open. Attending a Hospitality program somewhere (doesn't have to be Cornell at this point!)

It was the perfect way to round out a week of corporate meetings, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend for both group events and special occasions.

This bar is super vibey! Great ambiance. It's located within a hotel. You order a drink at the bar…read morewhich is decorated in a very retro cool way and grab a seat in their outdoor patio. There's everything from a hammock to standard outdoor furniture. We ordered a few drinks throughout the night, thoughts on all: - Breakfast in the Moonlight: delicious, tastes like a tiki drink, easy to drink and balanced -East of Eden: I didn't love this one as much but the bartender recommended it so it must be popular. It gives me cucumber water at the spa vibes but in a cocktail form. -Always Summer Negroni: I absolutely loved this drink! My favorite one of the night. So cool because it's a clear drink. Really nicely balanced cocktail, not too bitter. -La Bamba Colada: Tastes like a piña colada! But not overly sweet. No dairy for my fellow lactose intolerant friends (just coconut milk). At some point we also ordered a salad, the Shaker Salad with mahi mahi - I liked it! Friendly bartender and staff and overall great place to stop in and grab a drink! They have pretty reasonable prices too.
