Cute little Thai spot in East Harlem/upper east side! The interior decoration is fun. I ordered the chicken massaman curry. The chicken was a little dry, but the flavor of the curry was delicious. The waiters were attentive and refilled our waters constantly. Overall I had a good time.

Great food near Central Park after a race in Harlem. Service was fast and friendly. It was pretty inside and was comfortable for a small space. Our food was great! We had the chicken pad see ew and the chicken basil over rice. Thai classics that were cooked perfectly! There is also some outside seating when the weather is nice, restroom is clean, street parking, and BYOB. Would recommend!

Plue is a vegetarian-friendly Thai spot on the Upper East Side with a surprisingly diverse menu of both classic and specialty dishes. I came here for dinner with a friend who primarily eats vegan, and we were both drawn in by the wide selection of mock meats. Most traditional dishes can be made with either soy chicken or mock duck (both seitan-based, I believe), which is impressive for a Thai restaurant that caters to both vegetarians and omnivores. I ordered the Five-Spiced Duck with rice and Chinese broccoli. While the flavors were delicious--especially the seasoning on the duck--the portion was quite small. It felt more like a lunch special than a dinner plate, and I was left wanting more. I even ended up sampling my friend's Red Curry with mock duck, which was very vegetable-forward with a solid flavor, but I still preferred the five-spice duck overall. Just wish there had been more of it. Unfortunately, my food arrived very cold--not just lukewarm, but genuinely cold, which was disappointing. I asked for it to be reheated, and the staff took care of it promptly. The service overall was polite and attentive. Despite the portion size and temperature issue, I really appreciated the menu variety. It's a step above your average Thai takeout, with interesting offerings like shrimp cakes and crab entrees I'd be curious to try next time. If they can improve consistency with plating and temperature, Plue could be a real standout.

Stumbled upon this nice little Thai place on 100 and Lexington. Thank you fellow Yelpers... your reviews are spot on and I trusted you since I'm not to familiar with this neighborhood Great for dinner and even better for lunch. One of the best lunch specials in NY. Choice of soup, or an app, and a main course for $14. Steamed dumplings were light and tasty. Thai basil with chicken was very good and just the right spice. Service was good and attentive.

Husband and I were out, craving Thai food to take home for dinner. We were close to going to a location in the Heights, but found this and gave it a shot. So glad we did!! We went in to order, wait time was about 15 mins or so. FOOD: I got the basil fried rice with chicken (medium spice) and my husband the pad see ew with beef. This is the best Thai food we've had so far! So flavorful and FRESH. I didn't get tired after eating, which I always do (carb overload). AMBIANCE: Very cozy, on the smaller side so long as you don't mind being close to other tables. Beautifully decorated, chill music. This is officially our new to go Thai spot from now on! (Ps: the Belgian wine bar is right next door, might hit it next! Ha)

Absolutely loved the Steak Khao Soi! The curry broth is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the steak was tender and juicy. I also loved the crispy noodles on top -- such a perfect texture contrast. Truly comfort food done right!

Two years later after opening and this place is still great! They had some new menu items I decided to try out with my fiancee. Worth venturing up to the UES to try this Thai spot out. For drinks, the fiancee had the Thai Iced Tea ($5) which was delicious. I tried the Midori ($12), which I don't recommend. Why did I get it? I was curious what it was. For appetizers, we tried their Turnip Cake ($9), which I really liked. It's a bit more friend from the turnip cake I'm used to having in Chinatown, but I liked the flavoring with the five-spice soy sauce they use. Another unique appetizer that I've haven't seen on our Thai menus is the Homemade Beetroot Dumpling ($12). Two of the dumplings are filled with beetroot while the other two are filled with peanuts. It comes with a salted coconut sauce to enhance the flavor to the dumplings. They do fall apart very easily, so it can get messy, but worth the try if you're feeling adventurous. We also had a cup of the Shrimp Tom Yum Soup ($7), which was flavorful and nice for a cold winder day. For entrees, I got the Steak Khao Soi Curry Noodle ($26). You may have heard of the traditional Khao Soi which they usually serve with a big chicken drumstick. So I was intrigued by the substation of the chicken with steak. Not bad. The fiancee got the All Natural Duck Udon Soup ($24). I liked her entree a lot better than mine. The udon and broth were fantastic, but that duck was the real winner, which the meat was prepared nicely. For dessert, had to get the Affogato with Thai Coconut Mochi ($10). They used cold brew Thai coffee instead of espresso and coconut ice cream. Delicious, but did not help keep me awake from the inducing food coma.

I love how cozy and intimate Plue is - I was lucky enough to be a walk-in and get the last available table immediately, but you're better off making a reservation. The service is phenomenal and the staff is so kind and very chatty! It is a smaller restaurant so every interaction felt very personal :) The food reminded me of a perfect warm little meal on a cold day - I think the food itself is very well-priced, but the real charm of this restaurant is the intimacy. Perfect for a date night, stunning decor, and delicious drinks too! One of my go-to's for a quick dinner with one or two friends or did date night!

Best thai restaurant for me in NYC! Hidden gem in the upper east side! The food is better than the food I ate in Thailand! Location: It is located along Lexington Ave! The interior is quite small but very nice bar where you can wait for you to be seated. Service: omg this guys are awesome! They gave us free thai tea while waiting! We are well taken care of. And they gave us good recommendations! Food: Everything was good! Like for real all the food was on point! CHIVE CAKE: crispy on the outside and soft inside, the sauce compliments the cake! Perfect appetizer. WINGS: crispy fried chicken wings! They tossed it in garlic sesame soy sauce! So good! PAD SEE EW: so the noodles here is what I like! I felt like they just made it. It was soft and chewy at the same time. The seasoning is perfect. PAPAYA SALAD: so good, very refreshing and again the seasoning is perfect. CHILI GARLIC CRISPY PORK BELLY: omg this is soo good and umami! The pork is so crispy even the skin! The meat was soft and flavorful. the rice and egg was cooked perfectly. The egg is dripping on the rice. THAI ICED TEA: so milky and sweet! Wish they have boba hahaha HOMEMADE LIMEADE with BASIL SEEDS: so refreshing and good! You have to order this! Price rating: 7/10. It was not bad, worth every penny! I will definitely come back here and try their other food. Best thai place!!

had came here on two different occasions. One during lunch and had a thai iced tea and it was great!! Extra sweet and creamy but not too sweet. For dinner I had gotten the garlic wings which were very yummy and also the seasoned fries which were amazing. Great service and cute decor inside.

SERVICE - located on the upper east side near Mt Sinai - quaint interior with small tables for groups of 2-4 diners and limited outdoor seating - not very crowded for weekend lunch - service is friendly and welcoming - ambiance good for a casual meal MENU - classic selection of Thai dishes - vegan/vegetarian options available - average price ($18 per entree) FOOD - shiitake fried rice (6/10): rice berry sautéed with ginkgo nut, goji berry, and pecans. This was one of their signature dishes and it sounded quite unique. It is worth a try especially if you have never tried ginkgo before. I liked the addition of the pecans and goji berries for slight sweetness and tartness. Personally I was not a huge fan of the ginkgo as it tasted astringent and was not the texture I was imagining. - red curry (8/10): bamboo, eggplant, beans, bell pepper, fried tofu, and basil in spicy coconut curry sauce. This is exactly what you would expect from a curry. The sauce is rich and creamy with strong flavors from the spices. There is a good balance of vegetables to curry so it does not feel dry or watery. I did find some of the eggplant pieces to be a bit raw but otherwise a solid option. - drunken noodles (8/10): wide rice noodles with mixed vegetables and tofu. Another classic option, exactly what you would expect from this dish. Because of the fried tofu and fried noodles, it was a tad oily but not unbearable. - mango sticky rice (6/10): sticky rice topped with sweet mango and bathed in coconut milk sauce. The mango was the star of this dish. It was a variety that is deep orange and rich in flavor, unlike many of the ones conventionally available. The rice was for some reason slightly salty but it was fine when eaten as a collective bite. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! It was a great option for times when you want comforting Thai food

My friend and I decided to hit up Plue for lunch today. He was hyped to try their mango sticky rice, only to face the tragic reality that mango season (or maybe just their stock) had disappeared faster than we thought. Out of season? Out of stock? Out of this dimension? Who knows! The mystery remains unsolved. We ended up going for their lunch special because, well, we were already there (and starving). I went for the chicken drunken noodles, while my friend opted for the tofu pad Thai. Both were decent enough, but let's just say neither of us had our minds blown. We did felt slightly rushed since the staff came up and mentioned they were closing at 3:30 pm -- probably some New Year's Eve prep? Yet somehow, a party was seated after us. The place is tiny, so maybe they were just playing table Tetris. Would I call this my most unforgettable dining experience? Sure -- if we're talking about being rushed, confused, and slightly let down. Would I come back? Meh, probably not. There's plenty of other great Thai restaurants to support. Two stars for effort and an extra half-star because my friend didn't cry over the mango sticky rice heartbreak. 2.5/5

I would have liked it to be a larger portion and offered as an entree. WOULD I GO BACK? Maybe. I liked the ambiance and the option to try dishes that are usually meat heavy but the cuisine is not my personal favorite.

The space was super clean, calm, and had a vibe that felt authentic to the cuisine. The staff was also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and fast, which made the whole experience even better. But the food is what really blew me away. I got the Korean Wild Green Tea First Picked, and it was unreal. Yes, it had that beautiful green tea character, but it was so much more layered than that--smooth, complex, almost naturally sweet, and honestly one of the most memorable teas I've had anywhere. I also ordered the iced matcha latte, and it was easily the best matcha latte I've ever had: no grittiness at all, just incredibly smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We also had the baby dumplings in spicy sauce, popcorn shrimp, fried Manchurian cauliflower, spicy kimchi pancakes, Peking duck baos, and the duck rice bowl. Every single dish was excellent. I'm still baffled by how well they nailed the shrimp texture--seriously impressive. The flavors across the board were rich, creative, and satisfying without feeling heavy.
