Ok started out good. Hot & Sour soup. Not really hot. Wife had coconut shrimp soup. Not bad. Went to spicy wontons. Alot of peanut sauce and not much taste to wonton. Ordered Thai food from here today and loved it. Ordered the Tom Yang Goong soup. Clear broth soup with shrimp and lemongrass and red peppers. Asked for it extra spicy, thought it could have been a little spicier but soup was delicious and spot on. I only had two pieces of shrimp in it - expected like 3 to 4. So not cool on them for that BUT shrimp was fresh tasting. I also ordered Spicy Thai Basil Chicken and opted for extra veggies and no rice. They didn't disappoint perfect seasoning and veggies were perfectly cooked. Next time I'll ask for it to be spicier! I went in for pick up so the restaurant inside looked really clean, I'll definitely be dining in one day. Prices were reasonable. Very happy with this place as I love Thai food! Their Thai food is much better then their Chinese food. I'm not a fan of their Chinese. I rec the pad Thai- but I do caution to be specific on how spicy you want it. I learned the hard way. Decent Thai here if you are looking for a quick fix. Last time I was there I guess they were out of chicken or something, because I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and they brought me shrimp.... The service staff is nice and attentive, the menu has a decent selection, and the food quality is pretty good as well. The presentation can be hit-or-miss. It is certainly not the most fancy place, and to my experience is usually pretty empty, but it hasn't stopped me from wanting to go back. Considering that I am from Philadelphia and that I have dined in authentic Asian restaurants, I was severely disappointed when I had dinner at New Plum Tree Garden. Even after trying some decent Chinese places in suburbia, this would have to be the least desirable of any place that my boyfriend and I have tried. This place is a disgrace. I placed an order for delivery and they sent the wrong food. They can't understand what you're saying. I must've said chicken broccoli 7 times and they sent me shrimp. They charged me $12 for 4 chicken wings and rice. The rice had 3 pieces of shrimp in it. The customer service is terrible. The prices are absurd and the food is mediocre. I've ordered take out here just about every Sunday for the past six years. I usually order the combinations and have never been disappointed with the quality, portion size or delivery time. The food taste great, everything is made to order and the egg rolls are delicious. My circle are all fans of the NPTG / Lemonleaf Grill. I am as well. Service can be spotty and it can feel somewhat depressing inside since it's dim, has deteriorating furniture and it's very very quiet. People tend to whisper at their tables because it's like talking in a library. Some decent background music would help them a lot in the ambiance arena and make people comfortable speaking without feeling like they're intruding on other patron's space. I tend to order from the Thai side. The Chinese side is good. About the only thing I've not been satisfied with is their Kung Pow Chicken, which lacks punch. The standards of general's chicken, shrimp in lobster sauce, beef with brocolli are are good. My favorites on the thai side: the lemongrass pork chop (tasty and good value with three chops); the sweet and sour fish; bamee siam (crispy noodles, shrimp, chicken, calamari, oyster gravy); mee ga thi (spicy coconut noodles). The thai curry stuff is pretty bog standard, nothing special. Chicken satay is pretty mediocre as well. read more

The food here is SO GOOD. Everyone has their favorite Chinese place, but Plumtree Garden tops that place, I promise. EVERYTHING I have ever gotten from here was so much better than every other Chinese in the area, from the Won Ton Soup, egg rolls, fried rice, lo mein, to the S&S chicken, everything was excellent. Went there Friday the 13th ordered crab and asparagus soup it's came with imitation crabmeat it tasted awful. Talked to the manager and was told that it says imitation crabmeat on their package so I said it should say it on their menu. He told me that I should've asked. He wouldn't take it off my bill because he said they made it for me so I had to pay for it $6.10 and you know they were just going to dump it back into the pot. Then he asked me if I wanted it packed to go and I said no I don't like it so why would I want to take it with me and he said to give it to my friends and I told him I like my friends I will never go there again read more

So happy to have found this gem! You can order from two menus: traditional Chinese restaurant food and Thai cuisine. We chose Thai and were not disappointed! Delicious, inventive, and generous portions. The staff is helpful and attentive (we weren't sure how to eat one of our dishes). By the number of take-out orders going out the door, this is obviously a neighborhood "go to." We are looking forward to working our way through the menu. Two of us had a pot of tea, two appetizers, and two entrees. Our bill was around $35. We took half our entrees home for another meal. Great value. This would be a four star review if the Thom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut soup) wasn't terrible. Also had Chicken Satay which was decent, and green curry that was very good. Overall the atmosphere and service was fairly good. The Thom Kha was not like any I've had before, and not in a good way. In fact, when the waiter brought it out I told him I had ordered Thom Kha, thinking he had placed the wrong order. He told me that the soup was what I ordered and I tried it. It was pretty terrible. Since it is my favorite soup this definitely put me in a poor mood for the rest of the meal and I order it every time I eat thai food, it certainly impacted my mood. In the end the waiter said that the cook was new nad hadn't prepared the soup properly and he took it off hte check (without my asking him to). Overall I will eat here again when I am in the area, and propably be amending this review to a four star, but for now my expereince was definately in the three star range. read more

The service is a little slow (only reason I docked a star) but they're always courteous and attentive. Plum Tree makes great food. We go here all the time and we consistently love it. By now we have had every vegan item on the menu and have been happy with them all. They have faux chicken which is nice to have as an option too. The place isn't fancy but you're not eating the decor so who cares. All the people that work there are always so nice. The vegetarian general Tso's, veg sesame chicken, thai spring rolls, tao hu hor, and all the curries are some of the favorites that are in heavy rotation. It's funny how everyone's experiences are so different. Reading some of the bad reviews, I just can't understand because I've never once had a bad meal from here. I love the Tom Ka Gai, which is riddled with fresh produce and the mushrooms are always so delectably meaty. The chicken satay and peanut sauce is always a great option and even works as a small lunch with the soup if you're trying to avoid rice. The pineapple shrimp curry dish is my absolute favorite that I get every time practically. The shrimp is sometimes overcooked, but that happens as it's stewing in the hot curry broth, but doesn't take away from the dish because everything is so flavorful and fresh. The Ma Khue Puang Eggplant (chili eggplant dish) is so delicious as well and has been a selection of mine a few times. The spicy basil chicken, panang curry with chicken, and green curry dishes are all amazing as well. The pineapple coconut fried rice is also different and really good if that's your thing. I've never once had anything that didn't taste fresh and flavorful. The only item that doesn't seem to be fresh is the pineapple, which seems canned, but I don't mind that (as you can tell, I order a lot with pineapple). I typically order from the Thai menu, but one time I did order pineapple chicken from the Chinese menu and it did not disappoint. Also, the owner and the waitress I always seem to have are always extremely polite and accommodating. I like that they have an online menu, which is nice when I'm finishing up work some days and just want to quickly pick something up on my way home. The atmosphere is that of a typical American-Chinese restaurant but on a larger scale. I've been there where there's barely anybody in the restaurant and other times where it's pretty busy. It's kind of hidden away, but I like that since I don't like crowds. Worth a shot if you're in the area and looking for something a little different other than burgers, steaks, or pizza. read more

This place has become out regular date night spot. The food is consistently delicious, the Thai iced coffee is great as a desert! If you like your food spicy, I'd mention it to the server. Even if it had a pepper next to it on the menu, it's usually not spicy enough for me. But if you mention it, they do a great job making it hot enough! The staff is always super friendly! Very clean. It's a classic Chinese restaurant decor. There's a karate place next door and sometimes you can hear the kids practicing through the walls, which is odd at times. I've experienced many thai restaurants, and this was a mediocre experience. First off, the interior is absolutely terrible! It just looks depressing... well I guess it looks like what you might expect from a strip mall. The Tom Yum soup was disgusting! In fact, it might be the worst Tom Yum Soup I ever had. If you have never had thai, definitely do not base your opinion of the soup off of this restaurants version of it. However, the entrees were surprisingly good considering how bad the soup was. My expectation after the soup was that the entrees would be terrible too, but they were pretty darn good actually. We had the Green Curry with chicken (always a favorite of mine at thai restaurants) and the pineapple shrimp curry. Both of those were delicious. The service leaves a little to be desired, the waitress did not understand what I asked for, and I was brought something I did not want at all. The place was pretty dead inside, there was only one other couple dining, so it contributed to the terrible ambience. Overall, I am glad that there is an option for thai in the area, however, I may just do take out next time. I like the didning experience of the Doylestown thai restaurant MUCH better, and THEIR tom yum soup is great! read more

Kind of disappointed in tonight's meal. Maybe it is because it is a Sunday? Maybe it is because the big game was coming on? Maybe because my order was only $31.00 when it is usually about $100.00 or better when we order on a Friday night? But whatever the lame reason, I don't think we will ever order from this place again. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo and they forgot the sauce in the delivery. So I called and the gentleman (very nicely on the phone) said, okay, so I'll mark it down on your receipt and give you a free one next time. I thought free meal, because our meal was incomplete but nope, he is going to give us a free container of sauce because it usually costs $1.50. Ummmmm, sweet and sour chicken is only chicken nuggets if you don't have the sauce. I can get that WITH SAUCE at McDonalds. Okay, so I guess that is about as good as it is going to get, then I opened my dinner, a rather higher priced meal, S22-the Ma La Trio. It is supposed to come with shrimp, beef, and chicken plus veggies. Normally, I would be thrilled with this meal but it came with only two (2) shrimp!!! usually there is a lot of chicken and beef with about 6 or 7 shrimp. Seriously, for take out Chinese food, that was a little higher priced and should have given more than that. So, after spending 100's of dollars there between my five kids and their spouses and my husband and I, I think we are going in search of a place who would appreciate our money and is willing to satisfy the customer. read more

Instead of just saying "yes" , I could tell they really investigated to ensure they could accommodate our requests.
