I started a yelp project on a Tuesday, asking for quotes for a kitchen sink drain and vent to be replaced. I got a response a few minutes later from Plumbing Perfection saying they would do it for a flat fee. I asked if they could do the work the next day (Wednesday), to which they said yes. Because they would be able to do it the next day, I agreed to hire them and asked how to schedule the appointment (this is all through Yelp). I didn't hear back for another 5+ hours. Finally got a response late that night saying that we could schedule the appointment through yelp - unfortunately, because of the time, I didn't see the message that night. I got the message Wednesday morning, so I asked if they could still honor the Wednesday schedule & suggested 1pm. I got no response until 2:30 on Wednesday when someone called and asked if they could come the next day. I wasn't available that day, so I asked if they could come on Friday & was assured that they would be here between 11:30 and 12:30, and that they should be able to complete the work the same day. This was important to me because I have a cabinets and appliances showing up on Saturday, so I needed to wrap up plumbing and close up the walls before then. Friday 12:30 comes and goes with no word from Plumbing Perfection. At 1pm I call to find out where they were only to find that they wouldn't be able to come by for another 30 minutes to an hour. Someone finally showed up at 3 (almost 2 hours later than my call or 3.5 hours after our appt window opened). The person who finally came said that the flat fee project quote I got was wrong & that I would need to pay literally double the quote. I was about to begrudgingly accept this, until they said they wouldn't be able to do the work until the next day... so after being promised a fixed price and work to be completed on Wednesday, they instead doubled the price and wouldn't be able to even start the job until Saturday - which was beyond the project deadline. This puts my whole project behind schedule. I'm doing most of this project myself - hiring pros when I need them (as in this case). I, like many of you, work during the week, so I can only do my own work on nights and weekends. I had planned on finishing up most of the project over the weekend, but now I lose an entire weekend waiting on a different plumbing company to come out and do this work; not to mention the time I took off work to accommodate Plumbing Perfection's schedule. Totally unprofessional. Will never do business with this company again. read more

Alex was helping diagnose a toilet I accidently flushed something down, and after testing the toilet and checking the outside clean out, his conclusion was the item went through and there was nothing to do. They came to the condo and verbally recommended repairs. I specifically told them I needed the estimate to present to the hoa to replace the common rain drain pipe. 1 week passed, no estimate. They indicated that it was a free estimate (it will take time) and they were waiting on the pipe company to provide them the quote for the materials needed for the repairs. 2 weeks passed, no update. At 3 weeks, They said they would send over the estimate and stated they do not work with hoa, which was clearly communicated on the day they inspected the issue. The company's name says it all. Plumbing Perfection! I had a serious water leak in the main water feed into my electric water heater. Water spraying everywhere. Called Alex through Yelp and he responded immediately. He explained that the unit was very expensive so we got on facetime and he showed me how to shut off water ... to minimize damage to the unit. Then within 30 minutes Alex came and explained that the original plumbing was installed incorrectly and the soldering was faulty which caused major corrosion resulting in water spouting out of a pinhole; with more to come over time because of the faulty prior work by other contractors. After further examination he noticed that the parts used were not standard size and would need to be ordered. So he quickly clamped the pinhole as a temporary fix, ordered the specialty part, and as promised his crew came back 2 days later -- exactly on time -- for a 2+ hour fix. I'll upload pictures later if I can, but clearly the workmanship is top notch ... expert soldering work. Plumbers are not only technicians, the best ones are engineers and craftsmen. Nobody wants to hire a plumber. It usually means there's a problem that's disrupting your life and the fix is going to cost $$$ on something that's not exactly a fun purchase. But the worst part is the sense that you could be taken advantage of. Fortunately, I found these guys who gave me the confidence that they could fix my corroded sewer gas line at a reasonable price. Alex, Jay and Jose made this as painless of an experience as possible. Alex, in particular, was thorough in his estimate explanation and gave me multiple options and walked me through the pros and cons of each. I never felt like I was being pressured on an upsell. And when I compared his estimate to others I solicited, the scope of work was reasonable and the price was fair. They got the work done within 2 days of the estimate and left without a trace of a mess which is incredible considering the fact that they cut into multiple large sections of drywall. Hard to find guys who will own the patching and painting work too, but these guys delivered there, too. Here's the thing I'm a person that does DIY things around the house but unfortunately when it comes to plumbing I don't know a lot. When it comes figuring the water pressure it becomes my mumbo-jumbo for me. I had to call their experts to resolve my issue that I got myself into. Add several pieces and needed to be replaced but unfortunately, I couldn't find that answer myself so I have message several companies on Yelp about the issue. I have different quotes in different suggestions and how to fix my new cartridge. It was understandable that that Alex had responded to my message promptly. Me and my husband were moving some stuff around while cleaning out the back yard-tried to move the hose and immediately noticed water leaking- I panicked so right away came to Yelp to get emergency service. It took me longer to fill out the service request than it did for Plumbing Perfection and Rooter Service to contact me and assure me they could have a technician come out to check out the problem. Within about an hour Alex shows up and starts to asses the problem,not only did he provide us with an easy & fast fix (which I should mention it was exactly what I need it becuase I wanted to get our water turned back on as soon as possible) but he also gave us a free estimate and looked around at everything we need to get fixed far as plumbing service is need it. He spotted so many different issues which speaks highly about his knowledge. He knew his stuff very well and it was obvious he knew what he was talking about. He was very thoroughly when explaining the issues - me being your average girl who doesn't know much about anything laborious can appreciate understanding what someone is talking about. Contacted about a pipe leak inside of wall/crawlspace. Company responded quickly and sent someone over for inspection and estimate the same day. Alex was very communicative throughout the process, provided an accurate estimate for the scope of work as well as an insightful assessment of the underlying causes. He was able to bring in an electrician to look at some wiring that was damaged by the leak (also providing an accurate estimate and a quick repair). The bulk of the job involved cutting some holes in the wall (drywall inside and stucco outside), replacing a section of pipe, and repairing the walls. The job took about 3 days to complete including cleanup, and Alex and his team were prompt and communicative with their timelines each day. Our water heater started leaking, which was expected given that it's probably 15 years or so old. I contemplated going tankless, but decided to just do another tank. I messaged Alvaro and immediately got a response with some options. We went over various estimates based on how I wanted the new tank installed and he said he could do it the next morning.
